I've made about 350 rap texts and that means that I do know a lil thing about rap and about 2pac and Em being incredible rappers.

@@Victor-cr3xi I respect that you actually wrote a full text about what you think and that you come with some pretty legit things. Pac being overrated cuz of his death and Em cuz of his color is true but on the other side I feel like both Pac and Em put a lot of energy in their music. I do think rappers like Canibus and Papoose might be better lyrically or on the same level but the reason I choose Em and Pac is for Pac: He has a really special and powerfull voice and can pronounce words really well in his way. He also writes his rap in a kind of poetry and he brings a positive message in a lot of his music. Of course there is also all the gangster rap envolved.
Eminem has incredible lyrics but isn't that good anymore now. He can still write good stuff like the verses on Godzilla but it doesn't have that energy and power it used to have. Em can rap really fast tho and has a great controll over his breath. His rhymes are on point too. He has gone commercial and does things like working with Rihanna and all. I feel like Em's prime was 2002. 1999-2004 where his best years but In 2009 and 2010 he still brought some good records like 'Beautiful' and 'No Love'.
Here I have a few examples on why they are so good in rap lyrically.

Tupac is the Father of rap, Biggie is the uncle, Jay Z is the kid always trying to impress his dad, Nas is the cool ass kid, Dmx is the wild child, and Eminem is the adopted stepchild trying to fit in.

You don’t see rappers today dressing up in costumes playing characters dissing their mom cutting themselves up and doin a bunch of weird shit. Em is a great lyricist but that’s it. He doesn’t relate to a lot of people. His wordplay is the only reason you say that. And he’s arguably the best when it comes to rhyming. But cultural impact and influence? No.
Just my list:
1. Nas: Nas had some classic albums in it was written and stillmatic, even I Am is very underrated, but his very best album is definitely illmatic. My favourite songs from are all from illmatic and I can't decide between halftime, represent, memory lane, and NY State of Mind as his very best. His flow and story telling, to his vocab is half-man, half-amazing!
2. Rakim: Rakim is the most revolutionary rapper ever, as he changed the game forever, not only with his calm flow, but his new rhyme scheme was well ahead of his time. Not only that, but if he wanted to he could tell a story as clear as crystal. He was the first and one of the all time great rappers. My favourite songs from him include Mahogany, I ain't no joke, Paid in Full, and When I B On the Mic
3. Jay-Z: Jay-Z has been a polarizing figure, as he has so many albums that have gone platinum, yet people say he's well overrated. In my opinion, his iconic voice combined with his smooth flow really make him an all-time great. My personal favourites are My 1st Song, Dead Presidents/II, and Dirt Off Your Shoulder. He's very underappreciated, I don't understand why though.
4. 2Pac: while I've only truly listened to 4 of his songs, his insane rhythm combined with his vocals, they're just something of legend, nuff said. My favourite songs from him are Can't C Me, All Eyez On Me, California Love, and Ambition Az A Ridah
5. Eminem: Eminem is one of the very best selling artists ever, and has been for the past 20 years. His voice is iconic, the amount of rhymes he can put in his song is jaw-dropping, and he can tell a story if he wants to. He usually doesn't, but he can, and I honestly think he doesn't do it enough. Verdict is the man is the greatest rhymer of all time. My favourite songs from him are My Name Is..., The Real Slim Shady, Stan, Lose Yourself, and Not Afraid
6: The Notorious B.I.G.: Biggie Smalls is a guy who I don't listen to that often, but the man has flow. I don't listen to him enough so I can't put him higher, but his storytelling and overall rapping ability are untouchable.
7. Prodigy: Mobb Deep's Prodigy is one helluva rapper. Havoc grimy beats fit well with Prodigy's street-life lyrics. Although a lot of his songs are about putting a slug in ya, he's amazing at it. His rhymes paint a very vivid picture about the street life, and how to survive in it. My favourite song from him and Havoc are Shook Ones II, Hell on Earth, Survival of the Fittest, An Eye for an Eye, and 41st Street

9) 50 CENT- In my opinion, him and Outkast revolutionized hip hop in the early 2000s , 50 made hip hop a staple in music and made it commercially successful with positive reviews. Plus he made some pretty dope tracks, lol.
10)SLICK RICK -Rick is a pimp's rapper, he's got the look, flow , speed, lyrics, popularity, and overall rap abilities. Like he said "I'm the King Baby"
