The problem is there will always be weight bully that will cut to gain the edge. The answer is to do hydration testing through-out like in one championship to stop the practice
It's absolutely criminal that the UFC hasn't done anything about this. It's insanely unhealthy, weigh-in's should be done an hour before the fight so people can't cut and if people fail to meet weight then they should be banned for 1yr and fined heavily. Make people fight at their actual weight, im sick of seeing guys fighting at weight classes 10lbs lower than they weigh at the time of the fight.
you understand you can get around the hydration restrictions which people do and would do to gain an edge but getting around them is even more dangerous
@Jakoobb0610 You can't get around it if you make the weigh-in very close to fight time. Human bodies can only rehydrate at around .7kg of water per hour, no fighter is going to be dehydrated for weigh-in when their fight is within an hour because being dehydrated for the fight would be an insane handicap.
Both are severely unsafe and there should be a better option for fighters, but the whole point around it is cutting gives an advantage so it’s not gonna end

This is why more fighters should fight at their natural weight class

Their at a disadvantage if they do that, everyone would have to stop doing severe cutting at the same time and that won’t happen

They should do what one championship does and make sure people weigh in hydrated

Test their weights off season too. 10-12lb too heavy and you get fined
No amount of money 💰 would make you do this.
Weightcuts needs to be banned

Why not just fight at your natural weight??
