Patrice - love watching your work - I totally know that pain of base de-laminations and setbacks it drives us all nutz.. aint nothing wrong with a side gig either!
totally understand that you can't share everything, just wondering about the general steps like base coats, sanding, and how long to let paint dry before taping so it doesn't peel
Some time ago for none other than Michael McDowell! A few years ago I stopped painting for a year and Michael went with my buddy Ryan at Indocil. He's been with him ever since. I was so glad when he won the 500!!
Awesome as usual. No one believes me when I tell them how much tape one goes through doing custom painting. Work is stunning.
Thanks a bunch! The job description should be Helmet Taper and not Helmet Painter!
Another great video Patrice. I completely understand the disclaimer at the start. You’re an inspiration. 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great video Patrice !!
Thank you!

Every paint comes with a technical sheet that explain everything; drying time, taping, etc... They are all different.
Do I need wet-sanding after air brush?
Thank You!
I normally clearcoat then wet-sand BEFORE airbrush!
what/who is the most successful driver you've ever painted a helmet for?
Lance Stroll! Bruno Spengler! Alex Tagliani had quite a career in ChampCar as well.
I love watching your videos, but damn.. got six ads in 27 minutes 😅
Seriously? I didn't know. I'm gonna see into that. Thanks for letting me know.
some one please tell me the name of the pencil transfer tool used at 3;10 in the vid.
Hello! I think it's called gramil. I need it too!
I call it my GHLD (Guaranteed Horizontal Line Device). Home made from scrap materials. I have no idea if it has a "legit" name.
@@helmetgurucanada it's perfect!
@@helmetgurucanada great work as always! I made mine from a "vertical height gauge" with a pencil attachment - its an essential tool!
Yes it is!
Awesome video ever paint a helmet for a NASCAR driver
