Good video Hidden Papyrus but it would be nice if you could use music that fits with the setting of the video instead of using celtic music in the background as it doesn't really fit with the topic you are discussing.
Thank you for the support! I agree with you 100 percent... The issues is copyright use... I originally had appropriate background music but unfortunately I didn't know that I couldn't use it... I usually get the background music from pixabay but if you know a free alternative website to get copyright-free music please let me know🙂
No of course it did play a role in the war, it created a way in which they could communicate in secret but with the enslaved Africans and captured rebels the British were able to crack much of their messages even with the continued linguistic revolution of the patois. I apologize for not including it in the video but the video's length was getting quite long as most of my videos are under 5 minutes while the maroon wars was 7 and a half. Anyways I appreciate the support and I hope this video created an introduction for an important event in the history of Jamaica. Anyways I appreciate your support and I hope you enjoyed the video🙂
@HiddenPapyrus the Blacks who arrived in Jamaica with the spainards were some the Black Moors who got expelled from spain in that same era, they were not slaves... they were Artisans, spiritual/religious Leaders, navigators and soldiers who splintered from one of the caliphates. Besides, there were already "Black native people on the caribbean Islands and America's mainland long before any trans-atlantic conquests began
the maroons should be a movie
Descendants of Igbo warriors

Honestly I'm not sure I know how this works as I'm very new to this😂 it's been only a week or 10 days since I started posting
So what doesn't Jamaican patois have any elements of African languages?
