@@cavelight-cradle Would I be right in thinking you play W Hughes' transcription from memory? You play this piece with the freedom that playing from memory allows! Am trying myself to commit it to memory - bit of an uphill task at nearly 60!
Thank you for the good question, Richard. You're nearly 60? Nice coincidence, I'm 59! No, I always play piano watching the sheet. I'm not good at all at memorizing a tune. Whether memorizing or playing along the score, it must be important to play with freedom, or emphasize the player's own originality. Thnks you say I play with freedom, but I guess I lack originality in my play, I mean I just play like Bill Evans does. Anyway, an uphill task but a challenging one!
Very beautiful morceau !! bravo à vous !!!
Thank you! Yes, very beautiful song; Sammy Davis Junior ofter sang this song.
Wonderful.
Thank you for listening♬
