I recommend getting design engineering form a barrier for your cold air intakes. Get 2 12x24 one for each. You can fold it and cut to fit in the space without anything ti mount it. It will stay. BIG difference in intake temps.
Nice work I could just imagine mine of work you had to do for that situation. I had to cut off the bracket with a Dremel when I was doing my lower down pipes because the nut completely rusted out since I’m up north east I plan on going full cat less down pipes With a resonator now I’m considering just having them switch out the down pipes whenever I upgrade my turbo at the same time so I can save some bread and I won’t have to get my hands bruised up again just the fact that it’s kinda hard to see the bolts. Even in the videos. People can tell how annoying this job would be. It would be a piece of cake with engine out of the car the notes are pretty much took from this video was that you have to push the heat shield to get to the V band and I’m putting it back together to use a zip tie to make it easier. I will honestly try this out but if anything strips or is too rusty say V band for me is too rusty. I’m bringing my car to the shop.😂😂 but I would definitely have to takeoff my driveshaft on my passenger side because it would be in the way I remember when I took off my lower down pipes since I’m all-wheel-drive, the driveshaft was in the way car sounds good though good to see more people with Q 60 and a single exit. I felt like I was the only one for a while.
Yeah it was rough for sure and good point honestly the heat shields did not have to be bent too much due to us using the camera. Also awd is definitely more challenging seen someone do it before just takes an extra 30 minutes to do so not too bad. Agreed the q60 with this setup is super nice!
yes i’m awd too, that vband clamp bolt was fucking insane for me to take off my full downpipes I can’t imagine how it’s gonna be if and when I take it off of the stock cats smh.
so unlucky with that o2 sensor. appreciate your humility and transparency to show everything. great content. i have a q too and i work on it myself all the time. subscribed.
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for subscribing!!! I’m glad I can help, I install everything I can myself and want to share the news with everyone else. Want to help the vr30 community as much as I can 💪
those pipe adqapters are for the end of the dp before it meets with y pipe? thanks i have full 3in catted downpipes and a 2.5in catback exhaust i picked up 2nd hand. wwould i need one of those adapters to run the 3" dp with a 2.5" exhaust?
Yes they are which makes it perfect! Also Pride auto downpipes only come with these adapters if you run the 3” to the 2.5 you will be fine but it is bottlenecking which you aren’t getting that true flow. There is an adapter online somewhere but you’d have to put the exhaust slightly out more.
Yeah I tried my best to get the full most detailed install I could! It might be easier but the vband is still tough to get to everything else is pretty simple
@@drivermod1 it’s a really good video man. It’s a very tight spot to see but you did a very thorough job! Sucks it’s gotta be so crammed but hey it sounds great. I’m tryna do downpipes on mine
Does anyone know if racebox will allow u to wait wait say 2-3 weeks to start the tuning process once purchasing? . I just want to order the ecutek from them that way its there by the time my downpipes ship. So i can have everything ready to go without waiting.

Thank you il look into it! I have right now heat shield on both sides and bolted them on 😅
Definitely 1 of the most PITA mods on our Q's. Perseverance is key. Good work.
You are correct and thank you! 💪
CONGRATULATIONS MAN❤️
THANK YOU BRO 😘
Great video love how you show everything! Make it so simple
I’m glad to read this!!! Thank you I appreciate it!!

idk if i would go this route because its sooo loud.
Yeah i thought going catted wouldn’t make it that loud lol

@@drivermod1 me as well. glad we connected.
Do you have a list of tools you used? I’m putting mine on this week.
Hell yeah bro she's looking sick!
Thank you thank you!! 🫡
I’m Canadian I don’t think my hard ware is gonna be this clean
Full send or no send 🫡 you got this
Nice pipes bb😍

Did you get a CEL without a tune? I would assume you did even with the 02 90° adapters
I did get a cel after 2 days due to that exact reason but it is okay once you get tuned it will go away
Not many videos with installs. Looks difficult but i wonder how it would be with quick jacks

Where can i find those adapter pieces found at 1:26 my
They come with the Pride auto downpipes!
17:30 😂😂
For real 🤣🤣
Hey bro , will 3inch lower down pipe cause boost spike on the red sport
I have a redsport I did it no tune I was fine I even stepped on it a bit no issue just don’t keep doing it until you get a tune!
@@drivermod1 ok bro , did you notice any performance gain

I’d call them but I don’t see why they wouldn’t
mine never went as smooth as this lol. all the bolts were rusted
😅 it’s sketchy for sure
What size bolt was it that was hella hard to get to on the upper downpipes 9:42
I believe it was a size 12 or 14!
Is your car running good? I wanna install my fdp too but heard that you need to tune
I’m running the car perfectly fine actually just don’t rev the car out
it’s mainly catless full downpipes that are talked about. ams have also stated this :)
It will overspool without a tune. If you wanted to install but will tune later. Just drive normal. Nothing above 4k and nothing above 75% throttle
Do u hear turbo spool? thts my goal with my q
A lot of turbo spool! I can hear it everytime and especially with the custom intake setup!
@@drivermod1 u think i can get tht Spool with just LDP and Tomei or MBRP and b6a 3’ intakes
@@Ms-tz8bi Ofcourse!
D.M.C
yeah no im taking it to a shop lol
🤣🤣 it’s not that bad come on
Bro im debating as we speak 😂😂
How hard 1-10
I would say a 7 overall the v band is the only frustrating thing about the install
