First of all, this wrap is beautiful, and I definitely have it on my list of things I want to make. But a completely random aside; I think you're the only person I've seen who crochet's like me, where you physically wrap the yarn, rather than holding it, and letting the hook catch it. I thought that I was weird for not being able to do it the 'correct' way. My hands just don't work that way!

When you chain 2 and turn. You are doing 2 DC on that side too. So that makes one side have 3 DC on one side and 2 DC on the other side of the row. Most of the time a Ch up count as first stitch. Just bringing it to front. Might be the reason some are not following and putting in DC in those 3 stitches on one end of the row. Plus when you are DC you usually CH 3, not 2. Just a few of my questions.

Have been working on the wrap, and like others my bubbles do not stay in front/top, they poke out in the back. I've been pushing them forward but they are then not perky prominent bobbles and then they do not stay in front, they have a tendency to go out the back again. I've watched your video over and over and I'm not doing anything differently. Is there a technique to this, what am I missing? TY

I realise this tutorial is years old, but I was hoping you could reply.
With the ch2 (at the end of the previous row) + 2x dc at the start of every row, you always have effectively 3 chains (or dc) at one end of a row while only 2 at the other end.
This keeps throwing me off and leaves a little kink in my triangle.
I don't understand why it isn't ch2 at the end of one row, turn, then only 1dc (effectively making 2).
I hope this makes sense, but it's really throwing me off

I'm afraid this is not a TRIANGLE shawl.I have already made 35 rows and it looks like a bat,not a triangle.I suppose there's something wrong with the first row as you do 2+2 dc with a 2-ch space, instead of doing more so that it has a straight line at the beginning.Nice stitch but I have to figure out how to make it a triangle.

Assuming crafters are all visual is a mistake. When I teach crochet, I make sure my students know how to read their work (i.e. they can look at their work and tell me the stitch/s name. Standard abbreviations would be a benefit to this pattern. I ensure my students can read a pattern and complete the stitches correctly. Any level of student could not follow this pattern and complete it correctly as it appears another/other assumption/s has/have been made. Many of the row instructions have omitted important steps and using the phrase "in the next stitch" does not tell the crafter exactly which stitch they are looking for. This was obvious after watching your video. I have re-written this pattern for the individual who brought the kit to class and needed assistance. I wonder if anyone tested your pattern. I feel many of the documented comments requesting help could have been avoided with only a simple test of the pattern. This should be brought to the attention of Lion Brand Yarn .

The written pattern says I should have 12 DC at the end of row 3. I can only achieve 10. Even after watching the video, she has only 8. Which do you think is correct?
