I thought this was a waste of time until i clicked on the channel its full of Kei truck content! so before hating the guy for not putting on the wheels on the truck make sure to check his channel out! Just subscribed!!
This is good info. His take on spacers is wise. My only word of wisdom to add is, when purchasing spacers, MAKE SURE they are Hub-Centric. This assures they are centered on the hub, putting less stress on everything and keeping handling more consistent.
Best setup I've found on my Hijet is 14x4.5J rims with Nankang FT-9 185r14 Tyres. High load & speed rating and excellent on the highway and off road. Obviously requires a decent 2.5" lift
Hi I just purchased a Subaru Sambar from Japan. It arrives sometime in August, I can’t wait. I just subscribed to keep connected to you. Thanks for posting this video.
I got the same truck just a bit newer. I was able to fit 23x8 atv tires on no lift. Just had to trim the front plastic and remove the mud flap and plastic on edge of fender. Used 20mm thick wheel spacer to clear the shock. It’s tight but they fit.
Is there a DOT rated 23X8R12 mud and snow tire? That would seem to be ideal but I'm not seeing anything like that. Do I need 14" rims to get a 23X8 DOT rated mud and snow tire? Asking for my 2.5" lifted 1996 4WD Hijet mini truck. :-) I'm mostly concerned that a 25" tire would make the effective gear ratio so high that the engine couldn't rev high enough to make power for top speed in 5th gear. Very informative video. Thanks!
I have a 96 suzuki carry DD51T, PLEASE help me with the size of that tire and wheel and the spacers. Where to buy them. Itmen number . My tire size now is LT145R12 . Thanks
I feel like there was some camber with the car lifted that might give inaccurate backspace measurement. Shouldn’t you measure that with the face of the rotor plumb, like if it was sitting on the ground, tire mounted?
mine just arrived and was wondering how to lift it? how many inch do you recon should lift and what size tyre should best fit with allow wheels? thanks
Interested in another Mini? 94. Runs great. Hi low/ diff and axle lockers. Body decent. (Cleaning it up for some new paint) New street tires. Truck, not a dumper. Ladder rack with lights front and rear. Winch. Got to get rid of it. Going full time RV'ing/travel in retardedment... RETIREMENT. Oops. South east Az.
I have a little Suzuki pick up truck just like the one in the video. And I wanna get some adapters wheels and tires While. I'm here in U.S. It's in the Philippines. I want to carry them over there. Because nothing's available over there like that. Can you help me out with that, please?
If your going too ATV tires on an 09 da63t... Can there be a difference in diameter?.. most ATV and sxs have shorter front tires for steering.. and they say the 3*/* rule applys.. are kei trucks the same, or do you need same tires all around
I just bought a Suzuki carry and I was thinking that rims from a Suzuki Swift might bolt right up. Instead of doing all this measurement, just bolt them up. I did this with a couple of Metro's I had. I can't remember what size Suzuki Swift rims are though. This was a long time a go. I think they're 13 but I can't remember for sure. By putting size 13 on, I have a lot more choice in tires. 12 inch tires are very limited. This is the advantage of adding 13 inch rims.
I'm a novice I would like to put a lift kit and wheel spacers different rims and tires I have a 1999 Suzuki carry db52t do you have numbers of parts to order and where would I get such items, any help thanks
Hello, I just got a 1999 Kia Metro Towner which is the same as the Hijet and I want to put new tires and rims. Can you share the link where you got them and information of what I need to buy ? Does golf cart rims fit? I see very nice ones on Amazon and ebay but don't know if the bolts pattern are the same. Thank you in advance for you help.
Jeremy…in your opinion, how would UTV Portals work on a mini truck ? As I think it through, it provides gearing down, lift and widening the stance. If they are 30% gear reduction would that mean you could install 30% larger tires( diameter) in have roughly stock performance. I have given this a great deal of thought and can’t seem to see or come up with negatives except for possible additional wear on steering components…
I have 13" wheels on my 1996 Carry with 2" lift. Will 23.7" tall 13" tires fit? Specifically the tire is a 165 80 13. I am being told by pros that the 23" tires go on all day long with that 2" lift but how about the 23.7"?
Being 6-2 6-3 my first thought is how is the legroom? And can they be used as a daily driver back and forth to work with a little off-road capabilities. Also how do they handle in the sand snow and ice.
Hi. A question I hope you can answer. I have a 97 Suzuki carry DD51T. I want to use a set of vw 14" alloy rims. They fit and clear well, but I need longer wheel studs. Any suggestions to go from a 38mm long stud to a 45mm? I'm using a 2" lift with 23" o.d snow tire. Studs are 12x1.25mmx38mm I appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thank you.
Very helpful.. Thanks. Btw, how will i know the model year of the engine?.. We just bought a recondition unit last week back in the philippines.. No idea about mini truck or so called multicab in my country.. also, I want to change the tires to all terrain. What size will most fit with it. Thanks.
Click bait photo of a wheel that we put on these trucks? Glad you watched all 18 minutes as we spend about 3 hours a week on the phone explaining the same thing over and over to people week after week.
Four Sons Off-Road Inc. at no point in this video did you ever put any of those rims and tires onto this truck. You told us you'd need to install a lift kit, also at what point did you mount a rim/tire in this video all I saw was you place a spacer onto a hub...
You have no idea how much I appreciate you posting this video. This really puts things into perspective when it comes to making mod changes over practicality.
Hey guy I have a 93 suzuki carry and I would like to put some spacers like those. Please part number and where did you buy them also i like your atv tires Please let me know the make and model so I can buy identical tires and spacers. Thank you.
What kind of restrictions are on the rear axle? I know the front has the most, especially with the turning sweep, but could you get a 10"ATV tire (or more) in the back for just that extra touch of flotation and traction? Diameter has to stay the same for drivetrain purposes obviously, but how far away are things like brake lines, shocks and spring perches?
GUYS GO CHECK OUT OUR CHANNEL WE HAVE 50 OTHER VIDEOS OF TRUCKS WE HAVE INSTSLLED ATV TIRES ANS EVEN TRACKS ON! The purpose of this video was simply to show people how to measure their truck for tires
For a vid this long it should have included actual mounting of the different tires/wheels with real world road testing. You gave some good information but it is useless for most people. Could get more info on forums in less time with actual recommendations and testimonials.
I am not doing an off-road vehicle I'm building a skoolie on an 82 Dodge b350 colon School Bus I need to get away from the 16-5 rims that they don't it but every 17 inch rim I found will not fit on the front I can't go any bigger could you help me I'm finding the right spacers for my truck thank you sincerely Joseph and if you hit me back I'm a total subscriber really like too many truck thing and I'm thinking about doing something
They are called WHEELS not. RIMS, the rim is the outer part of the WHEEL . If you want to professional to know what you are talking about, then use the proper nomenclature!

Проверено на собственной шкуре 30 лет назад.. Если получилось и не сломалось, то повезло . Удачи! Good L uck! Put the adapter, and all? 18 minutes ... 30 seconds to explain. Ground clearance must be increased, and these are levers, these are traction, these are drives and their angle ... Or I didn’t understand something. I think you've convinced me that the original OEM arrangement was the best.
Tire availability is the usual issue.
good video. I now have a basic understanding of "off-sets" & "back spacing". This will pay dividends when I get trail tires & new rims. thx
Awesome Video bro. Learnt heaps. I have a 97 suzuki carry. Gonna start measuring up. 👌🏾
Thank you for that video your time was not waisted! I'm thankful 🙏 great video
Great video and very informative.
Thanks I was thinking I wanted a 25 inch tire with a 2 inch lift but I think now Maby 23 is a lot less headache
I think it would look cool with small tires like golf cart ones and lowered down. Might be fun to try
Very good information. Thank you for taken the time to share.
Thank you.
Explained that very well thank you!

Sorry I didn’t watch the FULL video if you said, but would spacers work for this to put bigger tires on? And/or if you lifted the truck?

Keep up the good work!- Enjoyed the explanation- very clear. I was always a bit unsure of that stuff.

I have a question is that thing street legal in the United States
Most states they need to be 25 years old or older.

Hey Jeremy, What width rims/offset should I be looking for to be able to mount a 175/65/R14 tire to a DA63T Carry?
Would lobe to have one of these for Home Depot and dump runs. Too bad not highway legal.
I see them all over the place around here. Weird.
You can still drive it on regular roads. Smh...
waste of time
Thanks for watching
You literally coulda spent like 1/8 of this time just trying to put it one
You completely missed the point of the video but thanks for watching. You can check out our 50 other videos with these tires and tracks mounted up.
