They each have their pros and cons and I love both and been members of both. Am a protestant and a believer of Triune. But bowing down to a statue in form of Jesus is a no for me. I was born a catholic but i was dry spiritualy. I have lived amongst Catholics all my life and not once did I hear that the purpose of life was Theosis. It took me less than a month of looking into Orthodoxy to get it: Theosis is what it's all about - and all the Church dogmas were designed to protect it. I am now a catechumen to the Orthodox church. And by the way, any Muslim reading this, your purpose of life is said to be "to worship Allah". That means nothing but be a slave to Muhammad. The purpose of Theosis is eternal life with God, who wants you to be with Him; starting now.
