I remember listening to KCRW interview the founder of Wall of Sound Records back in the fall of 2000, where he introduced this song, it was still a white label release. It freakin' blew my mind. I downloaded it on Napster (since I couldn't find it anywhere in the US) and eventually ordered from WoS directly where they shipped the 12" to me. It was damaged after two weeks and then they sent me a replacement. I can't think of another time where I waited with more anticipation for a new vinyl.
