I’m trying to use this method of data analysis for my research study. A few of my participants were scored ‘0.00’ across all variable options as the variables didn’t applied to them. However, these participants weren’t acknowledged in the chi square test, and I if you knew why and how to go around this?
good video! i got "More than 20% of cells in this subtable have expected cell counts less than 5. Chi-square results may be invalid." How do i do fisher's exact test for this then?
Hi, I also encountered the same problem, can u please tell me how to do in the next step? because I'll soon be presenting my result & discussion of my research 😢
Thank you for this video. When I press "Apply to selection" at 02:43 nothing happens. I can press the button, but the screen doesn't automatically go away and the settings don't apply unfortunately.
Im actually a bit confused about the interpretation. What i know about chi square is that it is use to test significant association between categorical variables. However, in your interpretation you mentioned that "there is a difference between males and females in terms of the language spoken". I hope you can enlighten my mind on this issue. Thanks Maam
@Jun Mark Rey Nob check the number of samples and later interpret eg if there is significant difference the number females speaking English is more when compared to males vice-versa
Dr. Shobha, can you please explain how to interpret the result? How can I describe the final conclusion? Should I have to describe such as "There is association of language and gender"? I'm quite confused because there are 4 kinds of language there. I hope you to answer. Thank you
There is a difference in the language spoken by male and female. Just check the percent who speaks more...then there is significant difference. If there is no difference in the spoken language then the value will not be significant
@@dr.shobhak6764 aha. Then is it right that your null hypothesis was "There is no difference in the language spoken by male and female."? Anyway thank you for all your works. They were really helpful.
@@dr.shobhak6764 Ahh okay thank you dr. But may i know in your opinion, if it is possible to perform chi square test on likert scale question(1-5,strongly agree/disagree) with 9 items? And combine the overall data into summarized data using chi square test? If not, can you help me to suggest what are the appropriate statistical test to analyze likert questions? 🙏🏽 I need to know the solution for my thesis
Mam I m using this but still now chi square tests are requested but no eligible subtables are found in table 1.... This warning was showing...how to do mam
Thank you Dr. Shobha, you helped me solve my problem with a method, I did not learn about. Thank you!

What if our outputs states that the chi square could be invalid?
No significant difference
Very brief and straight to the point! Thank you

In SPSS under cross stabs we can do Fisher's exact test but for multiple response only Chisquare test can be done.
Thank you so much for your reply. How do I get the p value now if the chi square value can’t be used ?
Send me the data will go through and will give you a reply tomorrow morning

Just add column percentage or anything for that matter it will appear. Orelse close it redo it once again.
Dr Shobha, what if the research question is "Is there association between sex and language spoken?", how can we run the analysis? Thanks in advance
Sure

Hello Dr. Shobha
I need help here on multiple reaponse questions with three choices, i.e. 1. Yes. 2. No. 3. I don’t know
How to analyse that?
Pls do the same pattern. If you don't get it do inform I will do a video for you shortly
@@dr.shobhak6764
If I do the same, only one value will be considered, and I want all three to be analysed.
Please do a video on that.
@@dreamer08ful I will post it today

If there are groups do Kruskal Wallis ChiSquare orelse ordinary chisquare. To enrich your thesis go for factor analysis later AMOS

I haven't tried it.
Ma'm, Is it possible to check the reliability of multiple response questions? In need of urgent help
No
No reliability check is not possible
Dr. SHOBHA K okay thank you ma'm!
How to interpret? We dont know the N?
Send me an email shobhagacecocbe@gmail.com
Can u try to interpret ur result here using the APA style?. X² (degree of freedom, N = sample size) = chisquare statistic value, p= p value
why mine didnt show Summary Statistics?
You should click for row or column percentage
