Completely agree. US foreign policy is so iffy no one knows what they want. And if the strongest country in the world is in that state it makes life difficult for everyone.

This is why we have experts in the Dept. of State and elsewhere to advise our presidents. The question, then, is will she listen to the experts and will she understand them? Can she tell which "experts" are really informed and which are blowhards? Who can she rely on to give her good advice? Who can she trust? A trip to Berlin or Beijing does not make her an expert on Germany or China. We all know nations don't have friends. They have interests. Throughout Mesopotamia, divination guided the kings for a thousand years, divination from a sheep's liver or from celestial beings.
