The Awdry Extravaganza celebrates the life and work of Rev. Wilbert Awdry, creator of Thomas the Tank Engine. Running over the weekend of July 20th-21st, this popular event promises to be full of fun for fans of all ages. With special trains, talks, exhibitions and livestreams, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Great to see the tv models of Fearless Freddie and Skarloey featured in this year’s exhibition for the Awdry extravaganza and it was great seeing Sir Handel with a new face can’t wait for the second part of the livestream 👍💙🚂

What an epic day we had today
This has been absolutely wonderful so far 😊 So incredible to see such a special celebration being held at such a special railway. The exhibition looks amazing, and it's nice to see Rusty being celebrated too. Dan reads 'Rock n Roll' beautifully at 2:16:25 . It was such a joy to listen to. Thank you Talyllyn for a fantastic event so far, and bless you all for bringing the magic to those who can't make it in person ❤
It was cool to see Freddie operating in the exhibition, I can’t enter as tickets sold out, but my capsule plarail Freddie can keep me company at the event on Sunday
I went there and saw Freddie in person (I didn’t get tickets but a spot was free so we payed it on the spot) and it was cool
