Super video! I applauded for $2.00 👏

Thanks!
Thanks so much Trina😊
I thank ya for sharing your knowledge and the see how video. I am 75 years olde and
Live on a very fixed income. God bless ya for making it easy for me to understand. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. 🙏😇🦃
Thanks so much Sharon❤️😊
You too, Happy Thanksgiving 😊
You’re an Angel! Just did the repair myself with your video after calling and getting quotes in the $250-300 range haha I was like “y’all are nuts”. The part costed me 25$ on Amazon and 20 mins with your video. Thank you 💜💜💜
I love it😊😊😊
That’s what I love to hear 👍
Found this video incredibly useful! Agree with some of the other comments, there's a notch in the plate so you don't need to remove the spark module or ground wire. Just remove the 3 screws and slide that plate right out in situ.
Excellent,
Thanks Mark😊
Thanks for the video. You really don't have to remove the cover or other parts. Just remove motherboard and mounting plate and slide mounting plate out and apply new pad. I do believe you were being more thorough if people are working on different model. Great job and video. Thanks for your time.
Thanks Samuel 👍
thanks, I found that the center 6 screws and 2 adjacent for circuit board were the only necessary as it allowed access to touchpad
Nice job and good info. 😊😊
I tried your steps in the original video and it worked for about a week. Came back to this one after getting the parts and I'm good to go again!
Nice job Sidney,
Thank you for the update😊
The quick fixes are a great help! Saves quite a bit of money!thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
I fixed the same Oven problem with the instructions you provided in the video. Thanks so much. And I got the display on eBay and it costs only $13.
That is Awesome news😊😊😊
Thank you for this video, I replaced my touch pad today with the help of this. Much appreciated.
Awesome,
Thanks so much for your feedback.😊
Eraser tip worked great, thank you!
Glad it helped!
How to put the heat deflector back in properly
Thank you!! My parents have this same range and having this problem. This saved us a lot of time, money and headache!
Thanks Jennifer,
You are a good daughter to help your parents❤️😊
Great video! Just replaced the touchpad. It was pretty easy but I didn't take the top piece off like someone else said. The only thing that I had to do was when I took the old touchpad off, there was residual glue left on the metal piece. I just used some WD-40 and a rag and got it off.
Glad it helped!
Just awesome video. Thank you for posting and saving me probably $250 in "parts and repair fees".
You are very welcome
Rebecca❤️😊
Thank you for the video, it helped me a lot and saved me lots of money.
Thanks Sebastian 😊
Thank you Sir it worked exactly how you explained it. I used a pick to lift up tabs on ribbon connector, and removed the connector so I can swipe eraser freely from end to end.
Excellent!👍😊
Nicely done video. Thanks.
You’re welcome 😊
Amazing, thank you so much for this, just saved us $300
I love it,
Thanks for the update😊😊
Really helpful video. I have a slightly different model but the installation was basically the same. Took 30 minutes or so. Thanks!
Excellent ,
Thank you😊
Great step-by-step video. Saved our 9 year old Samsung gas range.

Thanks for the sub!😊😊😊
This helped me replace my touchpad. Thank you
Thanks for the video. My touch pad only lasted slightly less than 2 years.
Yikes😬😬😬
Replaced twice. Once from Sears Parts and the other from Samsung. Both lasted just under 2 years. 😖
@@shobhanancoo6949 I have got it replaced twice through Samsung and it lasted just two months. The original one lasted about two years after that it's two replacements . Now I still have that error SE. Im so frustrated n don't know what to do.
Good video sir ! But I don’t know why you took out the whole control panel. After removing circuit board you can just unscrew 3 screws done while touch pad can come out easily.
That's what I did and it worked out great. My range is full electric, so there were 4 controllers (one for every burner) I would have had to remove. Much easier this way
VERY HELPFUL THANKS FOR POSTING IT
You bet Mike😊
Well done! Very informative! Thanks
You’re welcome David😊
Thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for this video. You are awesome
Thanks so much Vera😊
Thank you for posting this. I have the same oven and had the "SE" error and replacing the touchpad with the help of your walk though helped greatly. I don't know if it's exactly the proper way to do it but I didn't have to remove the whole top, just the few around the metal pate and maroon block.
Where did you buy the part for replacement? I have been looking and cannot find one for 40-60
Thanks for the video. Couldn't make out the parts number. Is it best to get a Samsung touch pad or just get an generic one.? Which is the best web sight to go on?
Thank you! That made it so easy!
Awesome,
Thank you
Great video enjoyed it thanks
I have the same stove. same SE problem. replaced the touch panel and still have the same SE error. is it maybe the circuit board?
completely helped me figure out mine and how to get it off, now how do I figure out which one I buy is the correct one?
Thanks Teresa,
Can you send me an email with the same question to: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
I just saw ur video. Great job. How do u check fir power on the board. I have to power going to the display. It does not turn on at all. Can u help
Thx for doing this video, great example if DiY , I did it watching it
Excellent, thanks Pat😊
Nice video! Thank you very much!
Thanks so much Amy😊
Will the same part # work for the Samsung electric stove?
this video gives me hope. I'll try it!
Thank you
Thanks for the video it helped me out. I kept thinking I know that voice then it hit me., you sound like Ray Ramano, Everybody loves Raymond..
Yep, I hear that a lot😂😂😂
What model is that oven? I need to replace igniter for the oven and I want to make sure I get correct part.
I’m having the same problem where can I get the touch pad
If you can send me your model number I can find the part for you. Scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
Tried the eraser on the ribbon and a few more buttons work but not all. After closer inspection of the ribbon, some of the conducters are broken. Thanks for a great video.
Hey Joe,
I wonder if you can cut 1/8 inch off of the end of the ribbon cable to expose new conductors.
Here i was thinking I had to buy a whole new stove and it was just a $25 keypad. Thank you
Excellent, thank you👍
That's my issue now is the problem the touch pad or the controller? I'm getting an "SE" error and the oven stopped working and a month later the broil stopped and got the error message, so which one do I replace?
Different model, same symptoms. The new panel should be in on Saturday so Sunday it is.
The camera movement didn't bother me at all. The steps were clear and it's a matter of keeping the screws straight and finding my stubby crosstip for the deflector.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Edit: The panel took about 30 minutes to access and replace, with pauses to use a magnet to pick up dropped screws and then clean grungy nooks and crannies. Reassembly was easy enough except for the heat shield. It was a pain in the butt to do but finally got it in. Next time it'd take less time.
Thanks for the video.
The part we replaced was a Switch Membrane, Part # DG-00036A for a Samsung model NX58K310SS. Slightly different finish but only my wife noticed.
Thanks so much👍
Okay. This WAS the same item that I replaced 3 years ago.
Left the console in place this time and it was 30 minutes start to finish - excepting the time to clean the glue from the panel.
I'll look for a bulk purchase if I need to change out the membrane every 3 years.
Can you replace the touchpad without disassembling the top console ?
Have to do some disassembly, but it’s easy👍
How can I tell if it's the touchpad or the controller? I have nothing on the touchpad. Thanks
I bought a panel and had a question. Is there a film on the end of the ribbon cable that needs to be removed? I installed it using your steps (and thank you) but the lights don't come on and the panel isn't functioning. So I investigated it further and it seems like there's some sort of cap or film on the end of the ribbon cable
You can use a pencil eraser to rub off that film and see if you get the lights back.
I have an NX58J5600SG/AA Gas Stove and there is NOTHING showing on the display screen. Any suggestion as to whether its the display screen (a $26 part) or the PCB Display Control Board (a $150 part)?
I’d say the control board is the culprit.
To anyone replacing the touch screen. Once you get to 2.38 just leave the part you have just unscrewed connected to the wiring (it will lay over out of the way) then remove the 3-4 screws holding the metal plate that serves as the backing for the touch screen from the front range cover "console" and replace the touch pad. Absolutely no need to go to all the trouble of removing the entire console assembly as shown in the vid. This will save you lots of time and effort and make the job easy to do with just a standard #2 phillips screwdriver.
Excellent info Richard,
Thank you 😊
Can u just take the controller board off without disconnectioning the electronic plugs or unscrewing the green wire
I don’t think so.
I recently replaced the board on my range but the oven not working. According to the manual the clock operates the oven but I can’t set it. Samsung don’t sell the clock. What can I do to fix the problem
Hi Alfred,
Can you send the model number to scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
Thanks for the video although things didn't end as well for me as in your film. I have an electrical model (NE595ROABSR) and i have problems with a few missing segments on the display, but more important the Clock and numbers 5-6-7-8 on the touchpad are unresponsive 9i've already tried the eraser trick). So i decided to change (with the help of your video) the touchpad on my unit only to have exactly the same problem at the end. Pretty strange... so could it be the digital display that's faulty?, or more logically the control board being the culprit? anyhow thanks for the video i'm this kinda guy who hates to throw away stuff before at least trying my luck at repairing them first. Cheers!
It’s gotta be the control board where it contacts the ribbon to the touchpad.
Maybe some spray electrical cleaner.
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Well yes i tried again with some high quality contact cleaner but with exactly the same results, i also disconnected and reconnected all board plugs. So i guess the last culprit is the board probably at the ribbon junction.
hi ! I am having the same issue. Where would I purchase the parts? Thanks for posting this!
Try a google search with your model number and the word touch pad
I have a Samsung NE597N0pbsr Induction range. Error code 84 static after a loud pop. Unresponsive to touch. There are 3 boards behind the housing. Manual states "communication error" any idea what part may need replacing? Thank you very much!
Hi, this means that one of your induction boards (usually the green right one) is blown. You can verify which one by checking the fuse under the cooktop. I repair these on eBay under bn880 username if anyone wants to have this fixed AFFORDABLY. Only one board fails not both.
I think you are right but in the interest of FULL DISCLOSURE: I took it apart but was waiting to have the voltage checked (tomorrow or Tuesday) ...None of these tools in my box. Where are you, as you say “I repair these’” what state? The fuse seems to be in tacked. A yellow dot present over a white opaque cylinder. No breakage/visible damage. Should it be broken if fuse is damaged? Or is this only detectable with voltage check?
I have a the Convection oven model does it have to be the exact panel on now. I found one but the panel does not have the start and stop button in the same position
I think it’s got to be the exact panel👍
Great video. Well done. The only thing that has changed is the cost of the touch pad. I got mine from Amazon. $80. They shipped the touch pad in a giant box. Somewhat comical.
😂😂😂😂
I replaced the keypad and now different buttons aren’t working. Is it the control panel or a defective keypad?
I did this job and thought I was successful because all the buttons work, but now the oven doesn't heat up. Before I started the job, the oven would heat up to the one preset (stuck) temperature. What would you guess I broke in the process of replacing the membrane?
My Samsung range oven had been inoperative for more than a year. I tried ordering the touch pad from Samsung who failed to provide the part. Samsung referred me to their vendor who also did provide the part because of a "supply chain issue." I finally received the part from another parts supplier. Upon receipt, I accomplished
Who did you use to get the part?
Hi had a question after I replaced the panel for the touch button. I turned on the stove and it works now but how long does the temp start going up and will the stove smell like gas at first? Kind of scared to leave it on to long because of the gas smell 😟
Might need a new igniter👍
good afternoon my friend, how are you? I am Brazilian and I have a Samsung Samsung NE595R0ABSR electric cooker and the panel does not turn on, everything is off, but the burners work. how can you help me? I already opened it back and used clean contacts, I put rubber on the flat cable too and nothing on the display to turn on.

Thanks for the followup video. :) I watched your "cleaning" video earlier I believe (the stove location looks really familiar) and it fixed mine for a couple weeks but the dreaded -SE- came back today so I'm currently shopping for a new touch pad. Have you noticed any issues with "aftermarket" touchpads versus OEM ones?
I might go for an original equipment touchpad just to be safe.
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance I saw your other video on the controller and then you mentioned it might be the touchpad so that’s what brought me here…but I can’t really tell which oneI might need because the clock is not messed up..it’s the only thing lit on the panel. Everything’ else went out all at once; it worked one day and the next day it didn’t. It’s hard to imagine anything is “worn out” considering the stove is only a little over a year old. I don’t wanna order a controller if it’s the touchpad and vice versa. When you said in the reply above this that you would go for the original equipment just to be safe, it’s kind a like, how safe… I mean the brand-name Samsung doesn’t much confidence, considering this is practically a new stove. So is this just a repair that we should expect to only last a little over a year? Nothing seems to last anymore, but landfill full of appliances because manufactures don’t make anything worth a damn anymore is infuriating. When I bought the stove, I had done the research and didn’t say that any brand was much better than the others. Back when I was younger, when you bought appliances, most of them lasted forever unless you wanted a different style or something. Thanks for doing these videos though…very informative and clear!
I have a Samsung NX58M9429 ss/aa and got a c-31 error. I replaced the temp sensor and still have the error.
Hi David,
I think it needs a new igniter 👍
what happens if you replace the panel and it's still not working? can't afford a new stove right now but soon as I can this thing is going to the scrap yard! help please!
Just need a new controller 👍
Hi, after replacing the touchpad, I get TE error code and touchpad does not work? Any tips or help?
Can you push the ribbon cable a little further down in its socket?
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance I did. I also tested the old one just to make sure no other wires came loose and it worked. I'm thinking just got a dud
Could be👍
Hey! Thanks for the video. I followed your instructions but for some reason the heat deflector isn't working as it should. When i leave my oven on broil for 5m the screen gets too hot to touch. Any advice?
You might try making a tin foil deflector to move that heat away from that touch pad.
Hi I have Model NE594R0ABSR and i have SE error message. I have tried everything except from changing the board. Do you have a video that shows you how to change out a board.
Ok we replaced ours. It works until it is put back in and touches the metal plate...any ideas?
Thanks Mary, I think that ribbon coming from the touchpad needs to be pushed a little further into the slot on the controller .
I have replaced one, but when I connected ribbon to the plug on the board-there was no response. L-F2 error appeared. Board doesn’t recognize the switch panel. Panel model name is DG34-00045B. What can be wrong?
Hi Nick,
I wonder if it’s the correct touchpad for your oven?
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance yes, I checked it on “searspartdirect” and ordered it on Marcone. Number on the spare parts is the same and they are visually equal
No link to the product
I saw your video. It was very good. However, screen keeps moving too much therefore, can not concentrate what to do when and how. Your video would have been much helpful if it was videoed steadily. But still I like it and thank you. If you know where I can find an electrician to replace Digital Display, that would be great. Thanks again.
great video, except would be better if could be more stable.
Our plastic cover over the touch pad bubbles up. Any ideas the buttons will not work
Time for a new touch pad, I think the vent from the oven is roasting the touch pad
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Maybe the thin plastic membrane that protects the pad was not removed during installation ?
Touchpad issues and now oven not lighting. Could this still be related to touch pad issues ?
Hi Tom,
I think you need a new igniter 😊
You think the touchpad and igniter went bad at the same time ? I was thinking the control board is bad.
I have similar Samsung stove for model number NX60A6311SS we are getting code C-F2 do anyone knows what part I would need to buy to fix it. It causing us not to be able to use our oven
Just need to clean the end of the touchpad ribbon cable that goes into the controller with a pencil eraser until it’s shiny.
Hello, I purchased the same stove and the control panel stopped working 2-3 after 3 months??? . So, I tried the eraser trick and nothing. I've purchased a control panel and tried to test it out just by unplugging the ribbon on the back into the new one and nothing. What about fuses? Does this stove have fuses? If so can you guide me on troubleshooting this baby. Thanksgiving day is coming up and we have a non working oven please help. Thanks
Oops 2-3 months after....
Can you send the model number?

I just fixed ours. Do yourself a favor if you have this model # Samsung Gas Range NX58J5600SG/AA and the Key Pad won’t function with an SE error code. Buy the keypad and not the board. I bought the board for over$150 and it didn’t fix the problem. As soon as I installed the keypad it worked!
