I am a simple electronic camera user so my head is swimming a bit from the complexity described. However, I do own K-mount lenses from my film days so this camera seems like a wonderful device. I shall have to investigate the comments below, which say the K-70 is much less expensive. Finally, thank you for taking the time to make what I think was an excellent video!
Super informative video. Thank you. Some literature discusses different focusing screens. For example, as an old-time Pentax user, I like the split image focusing screen. Is it possible to set up the screen for this kind of focusing?
You bet, you have to buy a split-image focus screen separately, but the screen is entirely removable and interchangeable. Similar to this video ruclips.net/video/l5xLU6JDyKk/видео.html
Hello 👋 Around 32:10 you say that four shots from Pixel Shift can be combined in post production etc... Doesn't the camera combine the four images for you, in body?
It’s both! (I think) In addition to the automatic in-camera processing, If you use the supplied software from Pentax, I think it’s called Digital Camera Utility, and you can edit and the combine the images manually. I’ve never done this, but I think that’s how it works.
@@PentaxTips Okay... I'm planning to get the KF and I'm using Linux, so I'm hoping the camera stitches all four images in-body, and produces a single RAW file. It would be great if you're able to check and let us now 🙂👍 And thank you.
The aperture block issue of Pentax entry level camera is evicting customer. I would not buy any Pentax camera again due to the aperture block of my K-S2 since three ago.

So beautiful. So new. So solid and robust. So technological. Love it! MUST have it! My future every day friend ...

In the UK the KF & K70 cost the same now so it's a moot point. Things might vary in different countries though.
Thanks for the video - back into Pentax DSLR
Excellent video 😮!
hi, thanks for the detailed review. is it possible to choose the single focus point in the viewfinder when shooting, instead of in the menus?
One of the best reflex entry level ! ❤🙂👍👋

I wonder if the shutter solenoid is the same as the K-01. Maybe I've wasted my money. Why change the battery from the Li-90???

Do you have any advice for the Pentax KP?
The aperture block issue of Pentax entry level camera is evicting customer. I would not buy any Pentax camera again due to the aperture block of my K-S2 since three ago.
Is the aperture block still an issue? I have not heard of it recently
I think that Is removed since the k70 2021 or after models AND the kf
KF solved the issue, but for some reason they didn't announce it. Major marketing point.
@@Skeletron1000 perhaps not wanting to acknowledge there was ever an issue

Entry level at almost $1,000? Hmmm! I would get a used K70 instead!
They don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
€ 900 and NO touch screen ???
The same camera as my K-70 but $400 more. Pentax gave consumers hardly anything new with this outdated camera.
Se definisci la KF obsoleta allora perdonami ma di fotocamere reflex capisci poco !
Even after years Pentax didn't find anything to improve at this camera! The price increase was the reason why i bought a K70 instead.
The kf and k70 very similar on price these days. 696 for KF body and BNH is providing a free 35mm dal lens.
The live view drains the battery fast,
The Aperture Block problem experienced with the K-70 was solved with the KF
PENTAX is stupid.
