Guys, when it's summer and nice you need to just go back and run a horizontal ridgepole from the old roof peak to where it hits the side of the new house. Then run planks, deck them, roof them, and create full height protection and deal with the whole problem once and for all. It's the most inaccessible part of your entire roof and will always be super sketchy to try and deal with in the winter. Otherwise, you'll be fighting water and damage in BOTH parts of the house as ice dams form and wreak all kinds of havoc.

Keep in mind, I fell 12 inches to land on my feet and I had explosive compound fracturing of my left tibia plateau. Took 7 surgeries over a 3 year period so I could walk again. No more running, no more jumping, and because it took so long I'm lucky to be able to bend to 110 degrees. I was about your age, not overweight, and quite active. My femur basically did a piledriver into my tibia and that's all she wrote. Take it from me, the *LAST* thing you want is do damage your knees. Don't believe me, go to any fast food place using crutches and carry your own tray to the table. Once you realize just how dependent you are being able to use your hands while walking, you then realize how extremely limited you are when you can't walk without crutches, a walker, or even a cane.

All anyone saw was my yelling out in pain holding my knee after the fact.

Had my 1st in 88' and was blessed to have her begin sleeping through the night the day she turned 3 months old, but after just a few weeks of sleeping bliss, we went through a sleep regression (wasn't even aware it was a thing back then). 3 or 4 weeks in I was on the phone complaining to my mom (we were CG stationed 3000 miles from home and long distance calls were expensive so didn't happen too often), she told me to cut a small criss cross in a bottle nipple (had unfortunately been unable to nurse) and try a tablespoon of rice cereal in her bedtime bottle... It worked like a charm from the very 1st night.

Just a suggestion for your shower glass. I used shower door Rain-x protector and I use the cleaner as maintenance. It has been two years and it is like new still. Things are really looking good.

Love you guys ! I'm really impressed with your precise measurements and cuts on that first piece of siding. Seeing that large cut out for the roof overhange had me nervous, but it fit perfectly. What a team! I enjoy your videos so much. Allie, you continue to impress me with your music choices and videography. Merry Christmas to all of you! Wishing you guys much love, joy, and fun during the holidays.

We used bales of straw spread out over the muddy spots when we were building. Yes it took several bales over a few months but it was cheap and worked great.

Allie, at 17:20'ish, you started with the freaky, violin music...we obviously don't feel YOUR tension because Trent is your husband, but when you insert THAT suspenseful music, we freak out more, with it!
Please, I'm begging you, that type of music ISN'T NECESSARY 💞💞💞
I don't want to hurt your feelings and I'm sorry if I did!
I can tell, YOU ARE TRENT'S ROCK!
