- If your child turns away everything that you serve on the plate, he may be a picky eater. It's certainly worrying when your little one creates a fuss about food regularly. But don’t worry; a loss of appetite in toddlers is a common problem. There can be many causes of an appetite slump in toddlers like illnesses, stress, anaemia or lack of exercise. Once you learn the exact reason, you will then understand how to deal with appetite loss in toddlers. Watch this video for a chart of nutrients that your toddler needs on a daily basis.
You will need to consult a doctor when there's a slump in your child's appetite, and if you notice signs in your child like weight loss, diarrhoea, fever, etc. It's possible that very often, parents can misunderstand the child’s changing needs to be due to a loss of appetite. This is when they add to the problem by forcing the child to eat, or complain that their child doesn’t eat. It's essential to be patient if your toddler isn’t consuming the normal amount of food that he usually eats. You’ll usually notice that there is little to worry about if his weight and height are appropriate for his age.

None of above reasons are observed in my kid she is very active,she doesn't eat anything not fluids,biscuits, junk food nothing still she is not eating food for days please guide me what to do I'm so worried

Has he eaten? I take care of my little brother and he’s 1 year, 1 month. He’ll cry when he’s sat on his high chair and turns or covers his face and cries when he’s offered food and he’ll cry even more for the bottle. The doctor also said it’s fine as long as he drinks milk 🥺

You Know I used to be like this, usually when I would be watching a tv show where a character is in a slightly far distance and it would be quite blurry and when I see the hands or heads, sometimes feet legs and arms, I just lose my appetite.

My boy is 1yr 1 month old, he had viral fever last week, and he has totally stopped eating, not even ready to consume water or even a spoon of food, tried to change menu but it didn't worked, m much worried for the same, coz he wants to remain hungry the whole day, he feels hungry but dnt want to eat. My son is the same. I took him to the dr and he has a sore throat and that’s the reason of not eating.
Babies stop eating if they have a sore throat. Once the throat is healed he’ll again start to eat.

@@sharycebracewell don't feel bad. I'm going through the exact same thing with my 19 month old. Try cheese, muffins, baked French fries, and green beans. Those have been a lifesaver so far. Sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss depending on the day.
@Shay Queen I completely agree with you on that he has now started eating bread, so that's cool!! And it is good one day and bad for a couple, then good for a day lol I see the sun on the horizon, though!
@@sharycebracewell that's great ur baby is eating bread. Make sure ur giving ur baby multivitamins with iron to supplement for the nutrition there missing. My doctor told me they usually start to get a appetite around 2 to 3 years old when they understand food better.
My 2yr and 7months old child don't like solid food anymore for few months now. His appetite was good especially with veggies and soup, since I'm too busy sometimes, I leave him with his siblings and they're I think neglecting to feed him. For now, he will eat oats, yogurt and maximum is noodles with soup. Sometimes chicken nuggets in rare times, he was eating spaghetti, at least it has meat and maybe because of eating it every other day, he got fade up and refusing it too. So I am freaking, I am giving him pediasure 3times a day because I'm worried. He's very active and smart. It's only that he is refusing most of the food. We tried also force feeding, and showed him many kind of food, he can't take the smell too. I was thinking to bring him to the doctor and have check up, maybe he have something in his stomach?

@@yangmostoles2115 hello there. There's I guess stages of their tastes. He shifted to like only chicken nuggets, ketchup sauce and rice for 4 months straight. I kept giving him pediasure ready to drink milk twice a day for complete nutrition. He's now 3 yrs and two months and good news, his appetite returned, he would eat veggies and all sort of food, little by little. I only give him pediasure before bed. You just need to find what she want to eat and stick to it til she get fade up with it. Always introduce her to regular food, not necessary to eat. Just show her that everyone is enjoying their meals.

My daughter is not eating meals
It started when my son was around 7/8 months old,, he doesn’t want to eat,, he will ignore and throw tantrums,, and he rarely finishes any food that i cooked except for fruits and because of it he depends on formula alot,, is this normal or should I gave vitamins

@@pallusvlog5195 I try changing his food ,, i used to feed him rice everyday and he seems pretty sick of it so for a week i changed to noodles and spaghetti, a bowl of noodle with soup, fried noodles and carbonara before going back to feeding him rice and he eats a lot now,, I'm satisfied hearing him burp everytime

Maybe she’s teething? If so, you could try offering food easier to chew like purées, yogurt, porridge, and not too hot. My baby is the same, not that these tips work every time but at least I can get him to eat a bit. Good luck to you and your mom ❤️

@@sumamvd670 well thank the problem has being solved especially for my daughter coz I stopped giving them milk before meals i only give milk my almost 4 yr old before his bed time and almost mg 2 year old after lunch and before bed time kids will as long as they are hungry but the amount they eat might different

It’s good to watch this but it’s not helping me because my 3.5 years baby girl doesn’t want to eat single food . Please u have any update? My son 3y9mon don't want to eat anything. I try everything for him. Now I only give him milk at night time before sleep to make him feel hungry but still not working. I will ask him what he want to eat before cooking for him. After the food was done, he just look at the food and cover his mouth. At day time he tend to drink water and sleep, to avoid eating. But he very active. Now also I stop gadgets no phone no tv. But still no appetite. Did anyone have same problems?
Me too my son is now 3. 6 yrs now but he only drink milk and eat biscuits only, when he was 6 months old until 1yr and 3months he loves to eat fruits, veggies, rice etc. But when he was 1yr and 4months he stop to eat, except for milk and biscuits until now. When I tried to offer food he always say No and he run away, I don't know what to do.
