Appreciate the honesty! Glad the fact that you got it for review didn't impact your honest thoughts on the pedals especially.
You already know 🤝
You *can* hardmount the pedals. To the left of the brake and right of the throttle on the heelplate are two passthru holes which allow it to be mounted to a sim rig (not like anyone would want to but it is possible) -- Page 22 of the user manual. "The pedal set can be attached to a variety of different supports (sold separately) using the two
perforations (24) located on either side of the pedal set."
I asked TM directly and they said that no hard mounting is available. 😬
@@OCRacing lol they don't even know their own product, oof. Anyway, solid review, love your content.
6:01 You can clearly see the pass through mounting points.

Ye, btw hi from Ukraine 🇺🇦
Thank you for this video. You’ve prevented me from going super cheap … will opt for the model up T248…
Now I fear the worst with thrusmaster's future dd...
dear god will it even compete with the logitech dd, we'll wait
@@wzard3156 It won't because it will probably compete with the R5
@@sleier I'll strongly hope it's competing with R9. Logitech just way too expensive.
bro this is a 200 dollar wheel how will this entry level wheel be anything close to a dd wheelbase
@@theogtimeclock my bro were talking about tms upcoming dd wheel
I've always been fascinated in sim racing and I want a wheel but preferebly at the stage where you get into wheel bases, wheels and pedals but I do not have enough money for a high end setup yet so watching these videos have really helped me in knowing what I can buy and what is best for me
what did you end up getting
Get a t150
I am very grateful that you posted the videos. I watched the first one between Logitech and ThrustMaster. Because you set up the website, I had to dive in more. Thank you for doing this review! I'm sharing this because I have a community that would appreciate this!
My t300 recently died and have been downgraded to my old tmx/t150 and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the wheel and the quality of the force feedback, I wouldn't underestimate these cheap wheels. The biggest problem is probably the pedals, luckily the pedals are upgradable.
Dead .... really dead ??
T300 pedals are compatable with the t150, I used t3pa pros with My t150 before I got my t300
Yeah the pedals u we’re using with the t300, probably the TLCMs or T3PAs can plug into the back of any thrustmaster base
@@THESHADOW97139mine over heat
@@user-ff1ue6lu8q How is your ffb set up in game and on the wheel??
The answer to this problem will come from what you are going to say....😉
Thank you for the giveaway opportunity!!
Love it. You used a Fanatec box for the simulated wall in your thrustmaster review. Noice
4:47 I have this set and it's fine when I have even just one foot pressing the brake pedal so idk what you're on about. Maybe actually hold your heel on the plate where it is supposed to go?
This set is pretty good for someone on a budget and can't afford something more expensive. I picked it up for $300 CAD and I can say I'm happy with it because it does the job and it performs for the price that I paid.
I'm thinking that if prices drop to a reasonable point (G29/920 drops quite far already on sales) this could possibly be like a modern DFGT, only time will tell though...
Amazing content like usual! Keep up the great work! I always love to watch your videos! ❤
Thank you!
You need to review the Logitech pro racing pedals and wheel. It’s direct drive but very pricy too.
It looks very nice, you are one of the best sim racing youtuber tbh
Trying to get into wheels and pedals. I appreciate the video!
Glad it helped!
I want to start sim racing but I'm not sure what equipment to buy. I am on Xbox Series S and I have a budget of $400 maximum to start from nothing to a good setup to start sim racing.
In my country, the TX costs $370 and the T248 costs $300.
Which one should I get? Or should I go for another model?
Is a racing wheel stand really important or can I do without one?
Please help me
The only reviews I can depend on 👌
I had the t248: play only acc.
Base broke twice, damaged motor and the pedals stopped working once. With the copy of the t248. Go for logitech. Or save your money and buy a more expensive. I had the option to return everything and gp for the ts-pc. What a difference, still thrustmaster(where I lost my trust in). But a way better experience and play in the game. Hopefully this holds on
Hey OC, one question, ive had a g29 for about 2 years, also have a shifter, but doesnt work, (changed it and still doesnt work), and im looking to upgrade, but i dont know where, u got any suggestions?
Learned a lot thanks
I'm shopping for wheel and pedals for my PS5, just saw on Amazon the Logitech g29 is at $200 and came across your video and found out about the T128. Any recommendations between those two?
I'm getting a g29 in November or for Christmas and whenever i can im getting a th8a shifter and a ebay handbrake, i cant wait to start them in assetto corsa. all of this got inspired by you, thanks alot!
Hope you have a lot of fun!
I love the honesty! Hopefully they still send you their upcoming DD...somewhen in 2023 :D
Lol. Was 2022…2023 is almost over. I’m looking forward to it myself but TM is flaking lately…I want the TM DD base and slip it into my setup with shifter handbrake and t3pm pedals which are the best dang pedals ever! Love my t300 but I’m ready for DD and I’m in too deep to change echo system…
Good luck to yall trying to win, i my self have been looking alot about wheels and still thinking what to buy
Let me know what you end up going with!
Great Review as always!!! cheers from the Philippines
Appreciate the support! Cheers
Hello OC Racing. I would really like the wheelbase as my Logitech G29 recently died after 3000+ hours of use. I have been watching for some time now, not subscribed though. I've been playing ETS2, ATS and F1. So a thrustmaster setup would really be an upgrade for me. Love your videos
i was actually wondering if it's any good to buy it for my brother, so thank you for the review
When I saw the notification I was kinda sad I hadn’t waited to buy this instead of the G29 but after seeing the review I’m relieved
😂
Getting into using a wheel and pedal setup on Xbox to play Forza, and maybe some Grid. I bought a Hori Overdrive, but I'm unsure if I want to stick with it, or pay the extra for a reasonably priced, entry level wheel with FFB.
I am however watching this video to learn more about the wheel to help me in my decision making. Thanks for the upload!
How do you like the Hori? I’m looking to get an entry level and it’s one of my options
@@bennybtw5084 I liked the Overdrive more than the DLX. Problem with both is you just don't get any descent feedback of what is actually happening for you to anticipate, or correct. With the DLX, I could never get the feedback setting right, nor the calibration. It was worse than the Overdrive. Ultimately, I returned both.
This is possibly something like logitech DFGT which I still use but mine is a 10+ years old wheel. I'd deffo rather get a slightly used T150. Same applies for the t248 it's a downgrade compared to the T300 even the name suggest that. Thrustmaster is supposed to release a budget DD wheel soon so I hope the prices of used T300 will drop a little so I can get one. Logitech has this new G PRO. I'm so happy that new wheels are being released. I have crafted a DIY clutch pedal from gamepad and a handbrake from a flight joystick, logitech H shifter and a foam ball mod on brake pedal which would be nice to upgrade at least the brake pedal and a proper clutch pedal. This setup cost me like $120 but it's complete.
Yeah! Great to see entry level products
Well, it's still tough to beat Logitech in entry level wheels it seems.
i think the tmx might have been a bit better in quality with the rubber grips because the plastic is not the best material but its ok for cheap sim racing
🫣
Great review - thanks 🙂
I must say, having had the T150 for a year and having tried the T248 at the shop out of curiosity. I prefer the feel of the metallic shifters of the T150. The T248 in general felt more plasticy and cheap compared to the T150. Which is not a statement I expected to be making but here we are.
So I fail to see how the T128 will fair any better.
I can't say anything to the ffb performance of the other two. But the T150 was decent enough and it's very cheap used, so maybe take a look at that.
yeah at this price point it wont be the best
Seems nice, Although the trade for a shifter and pedal set is kind of a bummer.
Love the initial formal impressions. LOVED the INFORMAL "WHO THE F DESIGNED THIS?!" portion.
Still .... beats any DFGT/PXN wheel any day :)
even tho i see what you are saying with the pedals.. i have mind against the wooden plinth that decorates the lower part of my walls, and it does not move an inch no matter how much i try.. so yeah just thought id let those know who are concerned about this issue, no my floor is covered with a high grade tall fiber floor carpeting so this might be the reason, i have not tried it in other rooms besides my pc room.
Real shame it's only got the 2 pedals.. I snagged a g29+shifter on sale recently for 260 (before taxes) and am supremely happy with it for the price. The Logitech setup seems to still be the way to go, when on sale anyway.
On black Friday I got the t248 for 230 pounds
Edit: the g29 is 200 pounda
I think OC is the most underrated sim racing youtuber right now.
Honored 🤚
Great review!
Hey I was wondering what wheel you would say I should upgrade to. Right now I have a G920 and an Xbox and I love it. I’m looking for something more powerful and some thing under $1000. Could you help me out? I’ve always found your videos so helpful and entertaining. I’m not sure how you don’t have 1 million subscribers yet!keep up the great work!
If you'd like to enter the world of direct drive, probably the CSL DD would be the way to go (if you can find stock), or a Moza R5. If not, then I'd just go with Thrustmaster TX for Xbox
I would hold off for a little bit to see what Thrustmaster comes up with next month. If that’s a bust, you can never go wrong with something like the CSL DD or Moza systems from my experience.
@@OCRacing what moza wheel base would support Xbox?
How did you get the lights to work on the wheel??😢
Does look awesome!!, I have the g920 logitech. Finding it more better the more I play around with the settings to suit my driving style. This thrustmaster wheel looks good but thinking about doing more research before I switch 👍 thanks for the review
At least get the t248…the pedals are amazing! I use the t3pm pedals myself on my t300. I would wait and see what their DD is gonna be like unless on console then go t248 or t300. Cheers man..✌🏼
The t128 is a MAJOR downgrade from the g920
@@surrealix58 the t248 pedals (t3pm) are far superior to the Logitech set. I use the t3pm pedals with my t300 and just waiting for the TM DD base for my next upgrade. I also rock TM shifter and handbrake and I have multiple rims. I had a Logitech as my first wheel and glad I made the upgrade. Mine was super loud and clicky (notchy) and slow. The pedals and shifter were the worst part IMO. It’s a good starter wheel though and now their PRO wheel looks pretty good. The gear driven bases are crap though compared to belt driven. Cheers..✌🏼
@@billygames7107 I 100% agree with that, but I was talking about the t128, not the t248 (I hate how similar the names are lol)
@@surrealix58 the t128 is fine but the pedals are the main issue. You can get the t3pm pedals separately and run them with your t128 and that would be a great starter setup. Cheers..✌🏼
His leg must get really tired driving anywhere if he lets his foot hang off the pedals the whole time. If you keep weight on your heels, like most actually do when driving, the pedals don't move that easily. Carpet tape also works really well.
Guys i am looking to by a next level steering wheel after my g29 with which one i should go??? which one is considered a good upgrade???
I think I'll finally be able to get my friends into simracing with this
That’s awesome!
My friends would laugh in my face lmao, nice that your friends have taste
If you hate them that is
@@xXxBo5sANaCxXx yeah you're right I should definitely recommend controllers or maybe something without force feedback
as a t128 user, I can say it was a big upgrade from t80 but then I upgraded to T300rs GT and I was not able to see good things except the wheel swap, and 3 pedals(you actually can buy it for t128 but yeah), and the stronger ffb.
wich pedal did you bought to your t128? and did you bought a shifter aswell?
@@pedro-iv9ni I didn't And it was just a bundle pedal. The t128 pedal was just looking toy but it was good for me.
So is this going to be much better control on steering sensitivity compared to my t80? Any tiny movement on f124 and I can't keep in a straight line for example
@@UncleBenPackWatch yep much better than t80.
However pedal shift feels a bit weird, so try clicking it and than buy if you like feeling
How do u turn on the engine speed LEDs on the wheel?
I can't wait to get a sim setup
I just got Grid Autosport on my Nintendo Switch, and I have been looking for wheels to use with the game. I’ve really been thinking about getting the PXN V9 simply because it is probably the best wheel for the job. Any suggestions, OC?
don't think any force feedback wheel works with the switch
Now im way happier with my T150... got it for 100€ with 2 Pedal Set. I will Upgrade to the T3PA Pedals soon
I appreciate you.
Just getting into racing debating between the TMX or G920
Don't know why you have so less subs. You're too underrated!
It is what it is. Appreciate it though!
I like the hard monted pedal version of G29. Overall G29 is the best gift this christmas season.
Can never go wrong with a G29 tbh
Just bought the G920 new on Amazon prime sale for a Xmas gift for my boys. $280 CAD + TAX. I picked it up right away, building them a rig.
Finally: They made some pedals to simulate the driving of old Lambos and Fiats (70s Lambos had extremely tiny foot rooms).
😂
Bro my t80 pedals are larger than the gas pedal in my 05 chevy truck. It's kinda sad. That being said, that tiny pedal is way more fun to press than the t80 pedal.
Your videos are amazing!
Your comments are amazing!
It also looks like a kids toy, I would be embarassed to use this if I was streaming :D. as always fun and very informative reviews
I bought the T248X a few months ago. It's kind of okay, but the hybrid system disappointed me, hard to control the car once you loose grip, I just forgot the idea of drifting with it.
I can't imagine how this T128 feels.
We need improvements, not downgrades.
This makes me sad. I have the tmx and was hoping to upgrade at a decent price. The first thing I did when I got tmx was upgrade the pedals. Thanks for the review.
So I have a g920 for my Xbox and I want something for the the ps5 should I buy the t128 and get better petals or just buy a g29
I know for a fact that the T300 is a g29 killer but it's also more expensive.
Did the T248 replace the T300 btw?? I wonder if that magnetic whatever the hell it is is better
is the force feedback the same as the t248?
Man im short on money and that base would be a dream rn...
Good review!
You should do t128 vs t150/tmx
Now that's what i call a REVIEW 🙌
hey man, i want to buy a wheel but i cannot decide. t150/tmx or t128? its same prices, and i play on a desk that means i cant plugin the cables right for the t128 right ? thks
Whattsssss uppppppp i would really like the wheel i firstly wanted to buy the t300rs gt but we cant afford it so yea love you Videos :)
Love your videos
Thank you!
i died when you said you can’t see these
feet 🦶🏽 for free !! 💀
TM T128- $200
OC racing feet pics-.....Priceless
😳👀
About the pedals, i had a T80 and the pedals were like that, you cant drive fast because when you get to brake you just cant. I changed for a G29 and now Ican do whatever I want. TM just cant do usable cheap pedals.
Got a G920 and a shifter earlier this summer for $230 and I couldn't imagine getting such a downgrade for this money.
How do I make the RGB lights work?
Interesting, maybe I shall return to racing in my room after been on 2 wheels for far too long
👀
Kinda weird that Thrustmaster released this, i mean there are other budget options from Thrustmaster themselves like the TMX or the T150, but idk if they got discontinued in the NA and EU markets because i don't live there. Great review tho!
I believe the T150/TMX are now discontinued
@@OCRacing Now that explains the T128, thank you.
The t150 brakes after about a year. Happens to so many of them. This is just a re designed version that hopefully should last longer than a year
should i jsut get the regular g29 then?
Amazing video🎉
Not to mention even with my shoes and there a size 10 i never except for a time or two had my pedals be too much of a issue lifting or small. Might be ur foot type and how u play.
I nought this feeling accomplished now he's shutting me down
Will you make a review of the G pro wheel?
If they ever decide to send me it, sure. If not, no chance im dropping $1000+ on a Logitech wheel lol
Does it come with the base?
Where I live this has the same price with the PXN V10 with shifter, and that's a huge step up over this plastic toy
Hmm, not sure I agree. Id definitely look into making a comparison between the two.
I bought a G29 on a prime sale for 200$ just this week and I was almost regretting that purchase when I was this video up until I saw the pedals these come with…
Haha, sorry about the title 🫣
I mean for 100 bucks more you can get the logi or cammus c5 which is a nice budget direct drive but I do understand with someone who is extremely tight on a budget but wanna race great to see thrust master thinking of everyone 😎🤙🏾
In India there isn’t any 2nd wheels so we have to buy these at a significant markup 😢
Nice video am i still in time to qualify?
Yo nice review
Can you play f1 22 on ps4 with it? I mean, is it compatible
hey oc what do you recomend for a console sim racer the xbox one to a series x or the pedals ,drivehub and handbrake
I have the t150 with t3pm pedals and the old pedals were bad but if you buy that i recommend that you buy t3pm pedals with them. Update. I just watched this video and relized that you cant connect the t3pm so just buy a t300 or the t248
Lots of interesting new releases lately 😊
Logitech look much better though
I am very disapointed. This wheel good for WRC? Unimposible to drive car...
In my country, this wheel is available for $158
And the g29 is available for $365
Now considering the price is it fine to go for the t128?
yes, also considering you can buy a new set of pedals and maybe even a shifter with the money you saved
hey would you recomand TMX pro (3-pedal) or this new one T128?
Tmx 😊
will this work on carx?
Will there be a PS4 variant?
Love your videos amazing
Thanks, Diego!
The pedals remind me of the old wingman pedals
