  • Meet the Lions that killed four of Casper The White Lion’s Brothers.
During 2018, Casper the White Lion and eight of his brothers-then four years old-started their nomadic lives around Satara Rest Camp in Kruger National Park after they were kicked out of the Shishangaan Mega Pride into which they were born.
Shortly after that, they encountered these three mean lions that originated from the S37 Trichardt Pride, about 40 km south of Satara.
During the fight, the S37 males killed four of Casper’s brothers.
Casper and the remaining four brothers fled to the Sweni area after the massacre.
They roamed that area for about 18 months, during which time the fifth brother also disappeared.
In early 2020, the remaining four Brothers Coalition-Casper the White Lion, Mfowethu, Casanova, and Footloose-returned to the Satara area as four strong, healthy Lions ready to take over a pride, which they did-the Satara Pride.
Currently, the four Shish brothers are in control of two prides: the Satara Pride and the Nsemani Pride to the west.
Maybe soon Casper and Brothers can revenge the deaths of their four brothers when the Shish brothers try to expand their territory further north and destroy the three (S37) Ngotso South / S90 Pride males that killed their brothers in 2018.
The South Ngotso/S90 Pride consists of these three pride males, 12 lionesses, and a good-looking sub-adult male-the son of the S37 Lion killers.
Notice that one of the killers has lost his right ear.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
    - When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
    - If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
    - The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
    - Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
    - Never go off the designated roads
    - Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
    - Don’t hoot or blare loud music
    - Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
    - During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
    - Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
    - Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

Thanks Chris interesting info I only started watching this year, so much history & connections fascinating in Lion Politics. Hard though the results are, its how life unfold for all in the Kingdom in Africa I guess. You are so privileged to live so close to such magnificent animals, yet it must be concerning when you have got to know individuals so well. Thank you for keeping us aware of Casper's situation particularly. He wears his battles scars proudly even when surpressed by his brother, I glad he has their protection too. No matter how tough, they each need eachother. So sad though knowing so many from that genetic pool gone. Tough 😔👏

They are beautiful anyway these Lions💞I remember that Casper had a lot of wounds at the beginning of his nomadic life, probably made by these males...the Shish males💓did not have an easy life, it was hard, the proof, they have lost five brothers...they have wander some years before finally being able to be dominant of a pride. They deserve this calm and I hope they will have lots of little ones, that they can bring to adulthood...

I've been watching these videos are good 10 years, we don't realize how close we get to these animals watching these videos all the time and so when something happens to them I get so sad it's crazy. When I see the Cubs get killed and lion takeovers, oh man, that's so hard to watch

They are different from the Ngotso males with the 5 Sub-adults. The two Ngotso males Blonde and Dark mane were not seen recently and are probably dead. The Ratelpan Males might have taken over the Ngotso (north) Pride. The Three Ngotso South Males have a handsome son and I will post a video of him soon.

Yes these S37 males are something different, I mean they have a zero tolerance, I never thought I would ever see another lion or lions that had attitude like mr.t mapogo and the savage and aggressive approach like kinky tail mapog ever again before I crossed these 3 guys and did my research and dug deep into these guys history and they kills any & everything that crosses their path, I was told by one of my contacts in knp that these guys is responsible for the hyena shortage in & around that area of knp because they completely decimated the hyena population there as well as the leopards around that area as well, they was responsible for 4 adult leopards kills as well as them being seen by a park official killing a jackal over a kill in which is unheard because jackals are fast & very quick to escape away from the kill before it’s to late so I’m not sure how they managed but these are some mean boys rite here and they mean business for those who aren’t familiar with them

Thanks for your feedback. In 2018 Casper and EIGHT of his brothers left the Shishangaan Pride in search of their own pride when they were about four years old. In their quest the crossed ways with the Ngotso South pride controlled by the three older S37 males which they killed FOUR out of the NINE brothers.
