  • Watch how the three cubs have grown!
Casper and his Shish Brothers eventually came to visit the Satara Lion Pride and their cute Lion Cubs.
Filmed just South of Satara Rest-camp on the H1-3 close to the N'wanetsi River bridge.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
    - When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
    - If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
    - The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
    - Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
    - Never go off the designated roads
    - Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
    - Don’t hoot or blare loud music
    - Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
    - During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
    - Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
    - Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

The cubs are beautiful and coming along nicely. I wish them a long, safe, and healthy successful life. It's great to finally see the dominate males with the pride. May they continue their reign and stand strong for a long time to come.

Such a beautiful sighting, those cubs are so cute, very special. Good to see Casper and Cassanova too. It always amazes how perfectly lions camoflauge with their surroundings. The grass is long enough for them to blend in completely. Thank you for the update. Great vid guys as always.

@@tsaffran but they don't. If you watch other videos, they keep their vehicles on. Even the tour bus that comes through doesn't turn their vehicle off.

Good that the etiquette is spelled out above. Even for those who might never get out there in person, it helps to understand things and the reasons for them.

Another wonderful sighting of the Shish brothers and Satara pride. The cubs are so adorable, strong and healthy. Their legs have gotten so much longer. And they seemed to look directly to your camera. We see that a lioness' tail serves as a toy and a pillow. Thanks for sharing the update on this beautiful pride and coalition.

Your concern is understood. But, they all seemed to be maneuvering carefully, and probably didn't want to sit there for hours longer. It was getting dark toward the end. Sometimes vehicles will try to back up and turn around but there was congestion here so ....

They lost another cub? .. What are these remaining three cubs? From their skull/head size, I'm pretty sure one (or even two, 3:06, but not sure enough about the other one) is *male* and the last one is *female* (but I might wrong on this one too)..

Is it not warmer on the tarred road than on the grass for the lions? Yet they like lounging around the tarred road. I thought lions wanted to stay cool during the day. Can anyone give me an answer?
