I always enjoy the "real ag" videos! Okay, I enjoy all the videos about the little orange tractors too, but the real ag ones are more extra helpful to us new farmers. Thanks!
Don't get me wrong, I love listening to and watching Neil, but I love Bryan! Especially, when he grins! As always, I learned something new today! Love you guys and love your channel! Almost makes me wish I loved back east by y'all! ALMOST!
Awesome vid👍I haven’t done hay in 15 years ago n we use basic inline disc rake. Like both options which makes hard to choose with pros n cons but I would have try rotary rake as our paddock rocky. We use to do small bales but I am not young n fit n we have hay cart that does round bales n big bale equipment is still expensive. Trying to find hay equipment to pay for itself depends on hay is selling for which is good at moment.
Overhere in the Netherlands we only use rotary rakes, mostly twin or quad rotors. The wheel rake is the old fasion and nowadays only used on roadsides that have been mowed.
I have a Kubota RA 212 Cr 12 wheel carted rake. I like how you can put down one side or the other to be able to turn swaths. and with the Kubota you can also very easily adjust the windrow width.
I use a 10 wheel rake for speed and width I'm also in rough steep ground down here in Tennessee and it takes tough equipment to hold up in this environment
Rotary rakes are wonderful I have a small one , but triple the cost of wheel rakes. I wish there was a Messicks in Idaho's Treasure Valley. All the dealers here suck big time.
Not all wheel rakes are cheaper than rotary, and not all wheel rakes are created equal.... Rowse for example: they are expensive rakes, but are durable, hold re-sale value, several adjustment points, and variety of sizes from small side delivery rakes to over 20-wheel v-rakes.
Bryan
Your giving Neal a run for his money! Your a good teacher too!!
