Wow, looks great, comfy period seats to go with top and doors and toasty heater. What's next windshield wipers? She's coming along great, trail ready in comfort. Great tutorial on cushion installation. Kaiser Willys period correct looks like quality product.
I’ve always seen these types of seat frames (and the cushions of course) and wondered how easily (or not) they’d install into a 1955 Willys CJ5. My Willys has the OG drivers seat….and it’s not bad but finding the passenger seat (especially one that matches) is hard. I also don’t really like the old coil sprung seats….my Dodge M37 has the coil sprung seats and I’m thinking about how to change those up too. I’ve been considering HMMWV cushions and maybe a bomber style frame for the M37. For my CJ5 these older Willys seat frames look like they’d work with the design of how the old Willys CJ5 seats mount. My passenger seat area has the brackets for the seat to fold forward like the other Willys do. My drivers seat mounts in what appears to be the same areas. Maybe someone out there has done this swap? At any rate, those seats looks good and that old GPW is awesome! Good job! Love the content.
I used those same seats from Kaiser Willys in my 1952 M38A1, they looked great and my wife surprised at how comfortable they were!
Awesome! I’m really pleased with the comfort as well. Such an improvement!!

Thank you! Yeah it’s a regular Cadillac now haha! It has one vacuum powered wiper in place now. It’s wimpy but better than nothing 😆
