It’s also true. Intelligence is a dirty business, and the IMF is a black ops operation outside of the regular global intelligence community. Kittridge and the IMF Secretaries use those teams to get missions done that others can’t. Pragmatically, he really shouldn’t apologize. But to want to control the Entity is a lofty and dangerous idea. And it’s shown that quite frankly, it doesn’t want to be owned. That’s why it must be destroyed at all costs.
@Agent_1701-D Hunt really needs no apology because this is the job that he signed up for. I totally agree with you. If he doesn't want to be traumatized by losing his teammates during the mission then he should've looked into other career opportunities.
Christopher McQuarrie revealed an Easter egg in the title sequence for the movie: a Mission: Impossible franchise tradition is having a title sequence that displays clips from the movie/episode to hint at what's to come throughout the movie/episode. To establish the fact that the Entity has the most control over the plot and can essentially manipulate the truth, McQuarrie stated in an interview "First of all, it’s a trope of Mission: Impossible, it’s what they’ve been doing since the series. So, okay, I won’t give you spoilers, I’ll just give you shots that aren’t in the movie. The Entity lied to you. Also, if you watch the credits, they are corrupted. The coordinates and the dates at the beginning, before they disappear, they actually scramble. Everything in the movie, there is very careful attention paid to the impact of the Entity on the narrative itself."
1:54 I have no way of proving what I'm about to suggest, but I have a hunch that this shot of Ethan and Kittredge staring each other down is more than coincidental. I feel Ethan may have been scanning his face via retinal plant to be able to make the mask at the end of the scene
@@jhammond1978Yes - most likely an improved, fast working, portable, and silent version of the facemaker seen in III and Ghost Protocol (where that one malfunctioned). Also, in the later episodes of the ‘88 tv continuation (a few years before the first MI film), they did show a version of this technology in the tv series continuity, which was portable, able to be hidden in a briefcase. Even though I consider the tv series and movies to be separate continuities/universes, that one could have been a prototype.
I feel like this scene is not just a movie plot but possibly a message to the world that we are on the brink of WW3 and our resources are depleting and air is becoming more polluted. Must pick a side
Thank you for upload, I love the mission briefing about the Expendable professional speech on helicopter. Lorne Balfe really hits the mark on the score perfectly ❤.
Now we need Michelle Monaghan and Jeremy Renner back in The Final Reckoning. I really hope that film will finally get a 3hrs run-time and at least finally do well in the box office (at least a $1B Box office) since the last one didn’t do well due to the Writers’ strikes, and of course, Barbenheimer happened (even though they’re all great, wonderful films though). I even wish that Rebecca Ferguson could return as Ilsa in part 2. I still hate that they killed her off in the mid of part 1. I still hate that they mad Henry Cavill’s character August Walker a bad guy in Fallout and had him killed off. He would’ve make a great team with Ethan, Luther, Benji, Grace, and Paris. Tom Cruise may be 61, but that doesn’t mean he can’t do his own stunt. What a strong, mighty man he is! I really hope that Ethan Hunts and his friends (family) doesn’t die in the film. I want them all, especially Luther and Ethan, to all survive. If it all do well in the box office, Paramount will might do another Mission Impossible if it’s all right with Tom and the Director, writer & producer Christopher McQuarrie. I also think that Glen Powell, Tom’s Top Gun: Maverick co-star, will make a great role as the next new Ethan Hunt in the reboot of Mission: Impossible. After all, Tom did help paid for him for flight school to help him prepare the role or Hangman.
3:54 At least it shouldn’t add “part one” for the title “Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning” before the Final Reckoning. We thought it was like part one first, then next year part two like the other movies such as: Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1 and 2 Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2 The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 and 2
I love how Ethan already has a Eugene Kittridge mask ready to go before Kittridge asks how Ethan's going to get out. Eugene, you've known this guy since 1996 (or 1993 canonically), how do you think he's going to get out?
Knowing that the IMF taught Ethan and others to be ghosts and blend in, Kittridge should have realized his exit strategy sooner than later. But he’s annoyed that he had to be drugged for that to happen. 😆
If something happened on Kitridge’s adjutant, why they wouldn’t make a phone call to him directly. They should have informed IMF director’s cellphone, not CIA director’s telephone.
So they use an AI to attack a sub but the AI goes rogue and wants to unleash the AI that was/is on the sinked sub because it can control it? I dont get the premise of this film...
The premise is the US put the AI in the sub to sink it, but when doing so the AI goes sentient and becomes a free agent. The AI then goes infiltrating any and every price of technology, which is something that the world governments notice. The only way for any country to use it however is to get that card thing that was inserted into the subs core, which they need the keys for. At least that’s my understanding of it.
An advanced learning system that gets too intelligent for it's human designers. The system goes rogue and starts attacking networks alp around the world to get stronger by assimilation and learning whilst spreading disinformation by altering or deleting the truth
The AI was never meant to attack - they were _testing_ it by having it spy on the sub, so the copy they installed on the sub has a killswitch, the _only_ thing that can kill it. Then the AI went rogue, copied itself off the sub, and then sunk it to ensure the killswitch is unreachable - because anyone who has the killswitch can blackmail the AI and therefore control it. The AI is already free on the Internet - Ethan has to somehow reach the sub and the killswitch if he wants to kill it, everyone else wants the killswitch so they can control it, and the AI wants to stop them all or play them against each other.
I agree with Kittridge on this I think Ethan is wrong here plus doesn’t Ethan technically work for the US. I sometimes find Ethan to be too self righteous.
ILSA FAUST THAT WE LOVED AND ADMIRED FOR EIGHT YEARS IS BEING KILLED OFF AND BECOMING A CORPSE ON THE VENICE BRIDGE ‼️, THAT I WANT TO SAY ABOUT THIS FILM 😡😡😡😡😡
Damn, I remember seeing your comment everywhere in Dead Reckoning related RUclips videos before the release, being worried about Ilsa's fate. Disregarding her death (which I really hope was not an actual death and will be revealed as a twist in the next movie), how did you find this movie? Did you enjoy it?
rubbish movie intro took 30mins , epic fail cruise trash rubbish , saw other night at around and then wanted go home never saw the ending and don't care to as i never ever will buy this garbage trash movie
Fun Fact. The opening credits don't appear until 27 mins into the film. The latest it's ever occurred.
Lmao ikr I was beginning to think “when’s the opening title gonna play?” Lmao
Fun fact. The opening credits were supposed to be at the scene where Ethan finds Ilsa in the desert.
Like No time to die. This is the longest cold open I’ve ever seen in a spy film.
Honestly well worth the wait, the scene ended up being the best lead-in to the opening credits in the series thus far
The longest I’ve heard a movie go on before the title card appears, other one I know was The Departed where it appears after 17/18 minutes I think
1:30 - Amazing foreshadowing.
Same thing I said
holy crap thats crazy
damn, her photo on the background
Him saying that that mission will cost Ethan dearly with Ilsa's picture in the background is supposed to foreshadow Ilsa's death, isn't it
@@benmunn7593 Correct 😎
Appreciation post to Lorne Balfe for adding the bongos drums to the theme. The build up from 2:45 to 3:12 is brilliant.
The amount of chills I got in the theater when the credits came on came in waves. The soundtrack to these films never disappoint.
THE GOAT THE GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAT
my fucking hero
"I'm not going to apologize to you Hunt!" That line is so memorable. I'm glad they added it to the scene.
This scene call back 27 years ago Ethan hunt prag mission restaurant scene

Great analysis
Doubt it.
Kittredge is a CIA director which isnt as secretive as IMF agents. His face is likely public.
Ooooh... like in Ghost Protocol?
