better safe than sorry. besides, there's no reason for the creator of the bomb to lie about it being nuclear, it's not like they'd just let it explode if it wasn't
If you thought this scene was a little scary, the one in Venice where the Entity steals Benji's voice and leads Ethan into a trap feels like it belongs in a horror movie. 😨😱
This is why the bomb was so important. It wasn’t meant to kill anyone. It was how the Entity stole Benji’s voice print. All of the answers are filling out a syllabus
Well the Entity could have also just accessed Benji's voice from somewhere else, like communication system from the past that Benji used that are recorded/stored (as mentioned the Entity can breach into any digital system).
@@dallasyap3064 you means benjis voice belonging to an agent so secret that no physical or digital footprint can possibly remain to protect the integrity of the mission. That benjis voice that you think can be accessed just anywhere😒
@@Mandalorianof501st When agents go on operations, their comms are usually recorded/stored for possibly further analysis or investigation. Example, in MI5 during the scene where Benji and Hunt were in an operation to attempt to intercept the A400 transporting the VX weapons, it was coordinated by an operations center led by Brandt. In such an operations center, comms are usually recorded. So it's also a possibility that the Entity managed to breach into IMF's network and stole Benji's voice. The entity could have even gotten Benji's voice by hacking into the computers that Benji & Luther were using while they were also guiding Ethan to Grace after escaping from the party.
It's insane the fact that M:I movies has been running for almost 30 years now, and there's an evolution in the technology, we witnessed Ethan from using a floppy disk 💾 from the 90s and then USB drive from 2000s and now using a Type C Flash drive.
One thing I loved about this movie is that the government agents weren’t “stupid” or write-offs. They were after Ethan and the team the whole time and didn’t give up halfway through
There's something terrifying about someone like Ethan yelling at the team to abort the mission. Like, even during the worst times, he's never said that before. You could hear the sheer horror in his voice when he told them to abort and that there wasn't a rendezvous point. Great delivery on Tom's part and the music really added to the sense of "oh shit" in the scene.
@thomasanderson2384 Anything is weak compared to fallout. That doesn't mean it's bad. It's still very good. Much better than most James bond and fast and furious movies
This and Skyfall are the two best spy movies ever made. Incredible action sequences , thrilling stories, phenomenal villains, death-defying stunts, and high body-counts.
Mission Movies in general have been better than any action movies for the past 2 decades. It all ended with Bourne Ultimatum,Casino Royale. Noone comes close to Tom Cruise. I mean they get talented actors to do the Missions -Rebecca Ferguson,Henry Cavill,Sean Harris(He isn't even dead yet).
This one and rogue nation are both better than fallout. Fallout’s plot is too predictable for a thriller movie. It has its moments but it’s not as heart wrenching as these two, and is especially frustrating that Ethan has to even do the final fight in the first place because Henry got lucky and escaped.
@@zacharyhsieh9358 I don't agree. I think Fallout was better than both of them because it was one of those movies to explore more of Ethan Hunt's character and they didn't do characters like Ilsa Faust so dirty. I also found Gabriel to be an alright villain.

We see Benji successfully stop it only to find out that the bomb he was defusing had no plutonium in it. It was the Entity trying to test his resolve.

I see Tom Cruise is getting out from Mission Impossible franchise. Part2 will probably sacrifice Ethan for humanity sake and end the Tom Cruise timeline
The fact that Ethan can see through his tech glasses a projected version of Gabriel that disappears indicates that his glasses have been not only hijacked, but an old enemy that he’s never managed to catch and one that he considers a rival in skill is somehow involved, and has the upper hand having hacked into ethan’s glasses. Ethan wants to protect his friends, so he knows that if his glasses are hacked, his comms are probably also hacked. If he tells his group where to rendezvous, Gabriel and his associates could easily track them down and trap the rendezvous point, where Ethan will either die and/or fail to protect his friends.
The movie was very good I enjoyed it, however…the entity and it’s related threat was a bit too much and got almost ridiculous. It raised a lot of questions and if you know some basic machine learning, you might realize that this kind of AI is just outright fantasy for now, although it offers enough touchpoints to discuss

Still don’t understand how grace manages to get away from Ethan when they tell him about the bomb. Luther is staring at the security camera footage the entire time? I’m assuming that this was a plot oversight cause there’s no mention of Luther suddenly being Sus that grace was standing there like normal but suddenly vanished when Ethan says in comms that she’s gone.
