I love it. Hunley tries to outsmart Ethan by keeping the PM in the room, imagining that Hunt knows they’re there and is waiting to strike. And of course not realizing that Hunt is so skilled at understanding people that he knew Hunley would do this and as such put himself in the one place Hunley would never expect him to be… all this of course AFTER tricking the PM into implicating Atlee and confirming the Syndicate isn’t just a myth. Easily the best scene in the entire series.
The writer is also the director, Christopher McQuarrie. He's also written and directed Fallout, and he co-wrote movies like The Usual Suspects, Edge of Tomorrow and Top Gun: Maverick. So yeah, the guy's a genius.

Besides the awesomeness that is Hunt, I really like this scene because of the Prime Minister. It may be because the first two roles I saw Tom Hollander play he was a bloodthirsty, power-hungry psycho (Cutler Beckett in Pirates of the Caribbean) and a spineless ambitious git (Minister Simon Foster from In the Loop). So it was rather surprising and nice seeing Hollander play a reasonable authority figure with morals and fortitude who rejected authoritarian powers and showed a willingness to go after those who tried to do it anyway and "help" the IMF. Plus his antics while drugged were hilarious (particularly because he's letting Brandt to finally seduce the rich guy ;) )
Then you'll love him as the mole in "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse." Especially since the latter two are voiced by Idris Elba and Gabriel Byrne, respectively.

He would've worked fine on his own as James Bond's nemesis but then they just have to go and add the very unnecessary shared backstory between the two, which leads to the implication that Blofeld turned out to be a criminal mastermind and created a global terrorist organization that committed heinous acts worldwide...just to get back at his adopted brother? That's just silly as hell xD.
Hunley's monologue about Ethan Hunt is very memorable. It shows Ethan's resilience but also shows that Hunley is afraid of what he can do. But that's the thing about Ethan. You can either fear him, or put your faith in him.

The Prime Minister is truly a noble and reasonable man….. he rejected the idea of the Syndicate without hesitation despite all he could achieve using it….. he could’ve single handily brought the British Empire back to its former glory…. Imagine what some leaders alive today could achieve with a program like that….. Who knows; something like it could very well exist today… or come to be in the future!
