It's crazy how much things change. Imagine what it'll be in another 20 something years

This was only three years before I was born.
And... Wow, even in such a short time span things had changed so much.
I can remember when Marshall's Yard was a bus depot, the old Car Park existed, Trent Bridge didn't have The Bridge (Yes, that's its name), that boarded up building near the town centre car park and so on and so forth.
Yet even that DIY shop was gone. I remember a garden centre was there and then B&Q. Mcdonalds was nowhere to be seen. Hell, I didn't even know there used to be a block of flats where Quik-Fit now is. As well as seeing Tesco's being absent and that large building which seemed to go on forever. It legit looked like a completely different town.
Christ, I miss JJ's and the State Club yet they only happened about ten-ish years ago... Fuck I'm old.
It's quite bizarre honestly. Seeing something you recognise looking so dramatically different. And yet everyone in 1996 had no idea what would happen. Hell, even the atmosphere seems dramatically different, with less smog than today. But hey, that's what advancing past the industrial age does.
