@Danny lol I'd do the same if I had 3 giant fluffy pancakes and a tub of maple syrup. I don't understand people who pour so little on pancakes since there's barely any sugar added to the batter itself, so you'd just be tasting flour and eggs.

Looks like a hassle, but not a difficult one. The thing to remember with meringue is that it takes time. Whip fully and keep your equipment grease- and yolk-free.
Those paper collars look like a snap to make, and also key to a good result.
Tomorrow is a holiday for me. I should give it a try!

It's really not pancakes. It's bascially a souffle. It's soft and pillowy. More like cake. Most Chinese bakeries have them and it's already sweet. You don't need to add toppings or whipped cream/ syrup over it.
thank you for the info i thought before i watched it was from an Asian influence didn't know which,. Plus they add a fish that is what the Taiyaki means. Plus the "you dont need to add" comment might be true but an opinion, maybe thats why they said shut up! but hey im with you though, but the option of toppings make it there business and a thing....

@@cherryberry1669Did you watch the segment? They said they only have the pancakes three days a week. The sign says they only have thicc pancakes from Friday through Sunday 11am - 2pm. Check the 1:14 mark for the sign.

What strikes me is that you don't need an oven. All you need are time, patience and upper body strength!
