Hi Ikenna. I'm a Nigerian as well. I was wondering if fluyo will be released on android more specifically playstore. I really want to learn how to speak igbo and french fluently. Also, is it possible to learn igbo and french at the same time on fluyo?
I can recommend Lella. It is especially good in terms of Reading and Listening. There are many interesting texts that you can read (artificial intelligence, batman, van gogh, etc.), you can also test what you have learned with quizzes, you can increase your vocabulary with flash cards, I definitely recommend it.
@@Spanglish360 learning languages is supposed to be fun, otherwise what's the point of doing them when you have no motivation to actually try and learn it
I love Pimsleur so much. I'll admit it's hard to just sit down and listen to it, so I walk around my neighborhood while practicing my Spanish, or listen to it as I go to work or go back home. So I get the added benefit of exercise!
Works way better walking . I nailed pimsleur German by walking my dog every day. But I also did Russian. At 5 am in bed while still sleepy. And nailed that too. But sitting at a table no way. So borning.
@@diet.mountain.dew. I'm not sure if you know, but you can have unlimited use with Pimsleur for a month for $20, instead of buying those expensive CDs. Granted, compared to other language-learning apps, it's still kind of expensive, but I like it because it's the only app that actually makes me speak faster.
I’m honestly so excited to use fluyo. I’ve been learning Japanese for awhile now but it’s been pretty tough so having a fun app to keep me accountable is going to be great. Can’t wait to support 😊
I usually don't spend a lot of time with apps that don't have spaced repetition, as I've learned over 5,000 phrases in English, some are in Russian and French, and I rarely forget them. When I saw that Fluyo could replace Anki and in a fun way I was very excited. It has everything to be the best app and I would definitely spend my money on it.
My biggest problem with the duolingo change isn't the fact that they made it so there's no multiple paths, or that the lessons are less comprehensive, but the fact that they just remove random features like the word list. I like adding all the words I know into programs such as anki which helps for further practice. I literally only use duolingo now to keep my mind focused and motivated on keeping at the language rather than actually learning much from duolingo.
I can recommend Lella. It is especially good in terms of Reading and Listening. There are many interesting texts that you can read (artificial intelligence, batman, van gogh, etc.), you can also test what you have learned with quizzes, you can increase your vocabulary with flash cards, I definitely recommend it.
One really fun app I use for building vocabulary is Drops, I really feel like it isn't talked about enough. I like that it uses pictures instead of your native language (English in my case), so you're associating the word in your target language with what it mean rather than translating it.
Another app I've been using too this past month is LingQ. Now this app is not the most flashy looking app out there, but if I could only use one app, it would be LingQ. The growth I have had this past month has been pretty crazy.
I was one of the first people to get the duolingo update and while a lot of people hate it I love it and enjoy duolingo so much more now. It feels completeable now too. Can’t wait for fluyo!
Hey bro. Just finished your ikenna method course. I really enjoyed it. The best part for me was the fact that you gave a clear progression and identification for benchmarks. It makes it easy to know when you're getting better and spells out a step by step process.
Tbh, I've really enjoyed the Duolingo update. For the flagship languages, the little explanations of grammar is helpful and the new paths have spaced repetition baked into it
For some reason I got the path on web, but not on the app. As I like using the app, I haven't tried the path so far. Might try web on mobile. But web on laptop is pain, someone forgot to add all French letters to the supposedly French AZERTY layout, so now you need a number block to type œ (Alt+0156), or use the mouse with the buttons Duolingo provides.
@@Ph34rNoB33r Sounds like your mobile app hasn't updated to me Try reinstalling it, as for the the french letters, are you able to change it to French keyboard in windows? Looking forward to your app; it’s quite inspiring what you’ve achieved even after being dealt a raw hand these past few years. Hope you’re feeling well, and I’ll jump on that kickstarter when it appears.
Mango languages is my favorite...i used this app every single day for at least 2 hours a day. In About 5 months I was conversational. I was able to hold down simple conversations, I also made notes all over my house to advance my learning.
When I began my journey of learning French, I saw so many people recommend some of these apps. But after a ton of trials and research I ended going with Rocket Languages and so far I love it! Nice that it focuses on not only speaking and understanding, it’s been great with grammar and spelling. Great alternative and probably the most comparable to Pimsleur in my opinion. Also, Rocket Languages almost always have huge sales!
Nice! I recommended Speakly when you were asking for what apps people were using out there. Glad to see it made it in :) The listening exercises are a nice touch, quite tough from the get go. Can't wait for Fluyo though! Hope you're doing well, sir.
I’m genuinely surprised how rarely LingQ is mentioned in this sort of video because for me honestly that is by far the best language learning app. Granted, I am a person that loves reading but to me that is the easiest, most effortless most interesting way to learn vocab.
I use lingq and I'm here in ecuador speaking perfect Spanish. The key is get a native to write transcriptions and study it over the course of a few days
I’ve downloaded all of them in the past. Believe it or not, Babbel has always been my favorite one. I don’t know why it always gets a bad rap. I don’t care if it’s not as “fun” as most of the others. It teaches grammar the best in my opinion
Would you recommend babbel over Busuu? I’m using pimsleur, duolingo, and language transfer. Languange transfer has helped me grow exponentially with their lessons. Pimsleur I do not like, it’s too formal for me. Good app for people who have international business trips. Duolingo is for kids or adults with short attention spans, no offense. I don’t need a gamified app to stay motivated. Although I’ll give duolingo it’s props. It’s a very good free app to get familiar with a beginner languange. It has helped me tremendously in my beginning stages.
I agree with ya! Babbel is by far the one that actually teaches in a serious way but not so boring way to actually learn how to speak and use of grammar. I study french only there and I only use complements as music or watching stuff in french, but just for fun and not as a complementary learning resource and so far so good
I thought you weren't gonna mention LingQ but you did, pleasent surprise, also I use it, but instead of books, I just listen to podcasts on there, nice way to find I+1 content
I don’t comment often, but I just wanted to say it’s great to see you back! I’ve been following you long before your sickness and your videos helped me on my journey to learn Mandarin. Hella excited for Fluyo!
Only having tried Duolingo, I'd say it's good for learning words but grammar wise it is sorta weak and makes me want to get harder into more basic grammar rather then feeling like a word run. How ever I feel like it's a good start for someone who is not sure about getting into learning languages and is much less intimidating then other apps. I feel like Duolingo is best when working with either a private teacher or native speaker that can help you with the speaking / grammar part of the language because it for sure gives you enough vocab and basic grammar to start understanding and speaking even though it's likely not the best but it's not bad for sure.
Even with Pimsleur, I managed to do 20-something lessons in 36-37 days, I either repeated a couple lessons or missed out on the session. I really hope Fluyo can help with this.
Hello! So nice to hear more from you, and more about Fluyo! I hope the Kickstarter goes well (though I'm sure it will), I'd love to use it to better study Japanese in the future! Finding cheap apps isn't easy, and I've ended up buying a textbook to use since I can't really pay for pimsleur at the moment lmao I hope you're doing well and get better healthwise! You're a very strong person.
I love Duolingo! I've been using it for over 3 months and I have learned so much Spanish! And the new change is better to me, because I didn't quite understand the old system.
I've been learning Chinese with duo for some time now and I must say I like the update cause I was stuck at a particular area but with the update I've decided to move forward with all the fun it has. I don't like traditional learning structure so this is good for me to recognize the characters.
I've been learning Russian past 14 months, the vocabulary is the hardest part and I couldn't find any good app which can help nor be fun (except duolingo for being more repetitive), I have just been waiting for Fulyo release since you said the most important part of language learning is Vocabulary and with the vision you have. I just hope there is an option to remove words that are similar to the languages you know from before so you would never see those ever again in your lessons. it was the most on nerve part in my opinion that would make the app unfun and frustrating, I can't wait to get my hands on Fulyo, cheers man!
I’m here to second the Drops recommendation (they’ll have a nice Black Friday Sale soon at the time of this posting) I’ve been using it for about seven languages, but focusing on Spanish, Russian, and Norwegian recently. There’s a very similar quality to every language I’ve tried so it’s not one of those apps that gives French/Spanish/German all of the love and then has a pittance of the rest for the sake of “wow look at all the courses we have.” Drops is pretty good for Russian!
Also! There’s a “hide” option in Drops for words, so you can remove them from your reviews and future lessons after the first lesson you encounter them in the app.
@@jen3566 thanks for the response, yup I have checked drops, it definitely has so much potential to it, but since it's not free I guess I will just finish duolingo and then go on with drops, thanks for caring and sharing!
@@GR4Y_TV yes no problem! I know, the one lesson a day limit for the free version (if that’s still available) is a bummer. I got the Black Friday Lifetime premium deal last year, haven’t regretted it yet. I think the 55% off sale this year is decent for anyone who can swing it, but things have been crazy. Definitely keep an eye out for their deals down the road. Good luck with your studies!!
oh my god i have been waiting for something like fluyo! this is just amazing and it will definitely help me in my korean learning. its been so hard to keep up with everything due to the fact that i listen to and watch a lot of korean stuff, so i think this actually might help me due to the app being like a video game. this is awesome!
Wassup 👑KING👑 I gotta say that ur glowing again. Your energy, the look in ur eyes and the way talk is totally different. I hope you stay like thst because it's very noticeable. Hope you stay like that brother.
the fact that you are always repeating that fluyo is better, just shows how much work and love you and your team are putting into this app❤️ it must have been a REALLY HARD app to make, but I'm sure it will be amazing and you are going to help lots of language learners achieve their goals❤️❤️❤️❤️
And a couple of my own special mentions. Mango Languages - I love how it's structured and it has a huge selection. I found their content to be of good quality, my only complain is that not all languages are a complete course. iTalki - I expect this gets mentioned in a lot of these kinds of lists. But I love the fact it makes tutored learning affordable and connects people all over the world. My target languages don't appear in many apps and for one of my target languages (Mongolian) it's hard to find an app or software or course that I like. Also, Fluyo look interesting, I'm just sad it doesn't look like it'll support anything I am interested in learning. Though what would be cool for an app is to create my own study material to work from & share. I know Memrise does this, but theirs is pretty much just flashcards. Because I think it will be pretty valuable for people studying languages you don't tend to see. For example, when I am at a certain point with my Mongolian I intend to pick up Tuvan again, Mango has a great starter course for it, but the learning resources for it in English are pretty scarce and whilst Transparent Languages supports it...I didn't like using it. So I've been gathering other material to learn the language that'd I'd like to put together as my own study material. If there are good apps/sites for that purpose too, I'm game to try them out as it'd help make the process more convenient.
Mango Languages is one of my favs as well. I feel it gets a bit overlooked in the language learning community. It is a bit more time consuming where I need to actually plan out when I can use it and focus on it. Can’t really do it while listening to something else or waiting at the dentist office like Duolingo. Happy learning !
@@tomtocz7284 I think Duolingo has its purposes, but I struggled to retain knowledge doing it, I soon realised trying for the leaderboard wasn't a sign of me doing well, but actually hindered my learning. But it's great for motivation, I found it easier to stick to than a lot of alternatives, maybe I could have done better if I used it differently. I like Mango for its quality and yeah, I don't often see it get a mention. If I was starting out with my Vietnamese, I'd be using it but I've been using a tutor through iTalki for a year now. It seems like they put special care into Mango with each of their languages and I appreciate that they made an effort to encourage people to try out endangered languages and start learning them in an effort to help with preservation. Which is how I ended up trying it out because Tuvan was one of those languages.
I’m SO happy you mentioned Speakly. I think Pimsluer + LanguageTransfer to start, then Speakly is a powerful method. I’m also excited for Fluyo, and it’s great to hear from you again!
I have a question I want to learn Japanese and I am German does it make sense to use an app that translates from english to japanese or should I use something that translates from german to japanese?

Hey Ikenna🙋🏾♂️, I was working on a video about some resources that helped me with Spanish. Thanks to you I ended up coming across “Language Transfer” and it really helped me out a lot so I wanted to see if I could mention you in the video 🙏🏾
The number one thing I want to know about any language app is: Does it work in Landscape mode? I use an iPad with a keyboard. I want it to rotate sideways.
I am learning Arabic on Udemy. Its just videos but some of the teachers have put a lot of effort into their courses. Some of the teachers also included pdf files you can study along with. If you use an incognito tab udemy will give you the huge discounts they offer at different times of the year. I found a six month Arabic course for $15. It does take a little discipline to do it everyday but just wanted to suggest it for some people who don’t want to pay monthly fees.
I am among those who doesn’t like the change in Duolingo. For one, I am up to a point in the course I’m taking (Indonesian) and the sudden and radical change of the method is a bit unpleasant for me. Plus the grammar tips are gone from the Web version. I made use of them. Luckily some sites have captured those explanations.
I started a job where 98% of the people speak Spanish. What app would you recommend to learn more conversational Spanish. I also feel like I learn better audio based. Like hearing it then repeating it out loud. Just looking for recommendations
are there any free sites to learn cantonese from? I have family and friends that speak cantonese but I cannot speak and I am in desperate need to learn for free.
If i already started learning spanish with duolingo and i am at chapter 3 of 10 then will i have to start from 0 again on fluyo or will there be like a test to find my level. Actually i will probably be close to finishing spanish by the time fluyo comes out
Hello ikenna! one thing i have always thaught when using language learning apps that the duolingo format or flashcard format could aslo be used for coding and in my oppinion its a bit of a missed opertunity do you think that fluyo could one day have programming languages?
can i ask one thing? i just want to ask if condition what you have will last forever because i was watching to your chanell like 2 or 3 years ago and its quite sad for me that you have this you know
Ohhh my god, can someone please tell me where i can get the new learning path for japanese on duolingo? I thought i would come out on november 1st but nothing changed… i have an android phone and an ipad but neither changed :(
I think lingq is still the best app after a certain level of competency. it acts as a hub for advanced audio and written materials in a way, but I find I only get a lot out of it in the language I'm B2 in. It doesn't work very well for A1 or A2
As a full-stack web developer, Duolingo has a great UI and everything is presented very simple which makes this the optimum recourse for me. Also I am not a geek who needs to know the stroke orders, radicals, etc. so Duolingo is the best
Very excited for this app. I'm very excited to be able to get more in-depth with my Japanese learning. I been studying for 2 years now but I'm really looking forward to have more fun with learning.

I'm pumped for Fluyo! I hope you add Mandarin as a language option soon after going live.
Hello! So nice to hear more from you, and more about Fluyo! I hope the Kickstarter goes well (though I'm sure it will), I'd love to use it to better study Japanese in the future! Finding cheap apps isn't easy, and I've ended up buying a textbook to use since I can't really pay for pimsleur at the moment lmao
I hope you're doing well and get better healthwise! You're a very strong person.
I love Duolingo! I've been using it for over 3 months and I have learned so much Spanish! And the new change is better to me, because I didn't quite understand the old system.
I like to also note that the Quality of learning is going to be different depending on what language you are learning if you going to use apps
If you are looking for a fun quick app to help with vocabulary you might want to try Drops if you haven’t tried it before.
Wassup 👑KING👑
I gotta say that ur glowing again. Your energy, the look in ur eyes and the way talk is totally different. I hope you stay like thst because it's very noticeable. Hope you stay like that brother.
The Sentences in Duolingo are weird because they want you to look at each individual word instead of just memorizing phrases
the fact that you are always repeating that fluyo is better, just shows how much work and love you and your team are putting into this app❤️ it must have been a REALLY HARD app to make, but I'm sure it will be amazing and you are going to help lots of language learners achieve their goals❤️❤️❤️❤️
FOR SOME REASON I GOT A DUOLINGO AD WHEN I CLICKED IT
I’m SO happy you mentioned Speakly. I think Pimsluer + LanguageTransfer to start, then Speakly is a powerful method. I’m also excited for Fluyo, and it’s great to hear from you again!
What about babbel, languange transfer, and LingQ?
I'm happy for you, you seem to feel better
I have a question I want to learn Japanese and I am German does it make sense to use an app that translates from english to japanese or should I use something that translates from german to japanese?
You are looking so much healthier🔥
I’m super happy for you. Excited for your future videos✊🏽
I really hope fluyo includes or soon includes african languages. They tend to be underpresented in language learning apps.
Thanks for the update!! I’m excited for Fluyo and will definitely be helping with the Kickstarter campaign! Keep up the good work
I use busuu and its the best app i have ever used.
Yes
ehh es bueno verte de nuevo... Ikenna tu me has inspirado en estudiar frances y aleman, aun me falta mucho pero el ver que tu pudiste me empuja a seguir también.
We are watching history unfolding right in front of us! I am glad thay I will be able to say that I was here before Fluyo's launch haha 😄
I am already waiting for Fluyo. We all are.
will I be able to learn/improve my English with fluyo?
Fluyo all 5 🔥
Ayyy!
Hello! Is there any apps that could learn sign language correctly? The English one or the French one, im not sure which one to go for tho, im french
Man I can't wait, evertime is see an email I get excited and pumped up, can't wait to start trying to learn a new language again, and give it another try.Your awesome man for real I wish I was able to support you more. Good luck 👍
AMAZING TIMING BRO 🔥🔥
Hey Ikenna🙋🏾♂️, I was working on a video about some resources that helped me with Spanish.
Thanks to you I ended up coming across “Language Transfer” and it really helped me out a lot so I wanted to see if I could mention you in the video 🙏🏾
Waiting for Fluyo🧘♀️
The number one thing I want to know about any language app is: Does it work in Landscape mode? I use an iPad with a keyboard. I want it to rotate sideways.
dont wanna learn a language until your app out its so good i swear since i game alot imma grind this
I am learning Arabic on Udemy.
What Arabic Udemy course is good? Which one did you use?
I speak Arabic but trying to learn french for my next job
I am among those who doesn’t like the change in Duolingo. For one, I am up to a point in the course I’m taking (Indonesian) and the sudden and radical change of the method is a bit unpleasant for me. Plus the grammar tips are gone from the Web version. I made use of them. Luckily some sites have captured those explanations.
When will German be introduced on Fluyo, I’m going to live there next Spring so would be great to see before then
Willkommen mein Freund
You said Pimsleur is a good way to start. But how do you continue after that? Thanks
YESSSS!!! I was so happy when I saw that you uploaded!
I started a job where 98% of the people speak Spanish. What app would you recommend to learn more conversational Spanish. I also feel like I learn better audio based. Like hearing it then repeating it out loud. Just looking for recommendations
100% Pimsleur it has everything you're looking for and is audio based.
Let's do this Ikenna!! Fluyo is gonna rock. I'm so excited 😁
Would it be best start on Duolingo and after about a month, transition to pimsleur.
are there any free sites to learn cantonese from? I have family and friends that speak cantonese but I cannot speak and I am in desperate need to learn for free.
For four years 2 da day, I've been using DuoLingo for Japanese. Cleared pretty much da entire system. Now I wish I were beyond confident using it...
If i already started learning spanish with duolingo and i am at chapter 3 of 10 then will i have to start from 0 again on fluyo or will there be like a test to find my level.
Actually i will probably be close to finishing spanish by the time fluyo comes out
Can't believe you're finally recognizing lingodeer!
Pimsleur is on my list, but for now it’s free Duolingo. Working on Portuguese/Spanish, then we go to Italian/French
at some point can you add korean to fluyo?
Dude I love your app! Thanks for developing it.
Thank you for you input on language apps.
Whew yh def learning more languages this & every yr learn a a lot more.
I haven't watched the video yet but I can bet anything he says his app (fluyo) is the best
Hello ikenna! one thing i have always thaught when using language learning apps that the duolingo format or flashcard format could aslo be used for coding and in my oppinion its a bit of a missed opertunity do you think that fluyo could one day have programming languages?
so when is the alpha comming out on Fluyo ? and will it be free?
Glad to see you back!
can i ask one thing? i just want to ask if condition what you have will last forever because i was watching to your chanell like 2 or 3 years ago and its quite sad for me that you have this you know
I miss you glad you got better
Ohhh my god, can someone please tell me where i can get the new learning path for japanese on duolingo? I thought i would come out on november 1st but nothing changed… i have an android phone and an ipad but neither changed :(
Will fluyo cost money? I really want to learn more languages. I am fluent in Spanish and English but would really love to expand
I don't know if mango languages is local, but its amazing 🤠👍🏻 also eggbun for korean
When is fluyo coming out?, I'm eagerly waiting for it
I think lingq is still the best app after a certain level of competency. it acts as a hub for advanced audio and written materials in a way, but I find I only get a lot out of it in the language I'm B2 in. It doesn't work very well for A1 or A2
Ok, but what's better right now? Busuu or Duolingo after the new update?
Busuu
Is to better to listen to more than content you understand and repeat till you do or is it better to master a few words at a time?
Nice language man uploads 😀😀
really exited for your app ikenna, i hope i get beta access :)
man , I've been waitng forever , hope it is worth waiting
When is Fluyo App coming out?
Good to see you back. Stay strong!
What’s the best one for Spanish?
Why do you say you speak 7 languages but your bio says 11? Is it bc of the proficiency level?
0:04 What language was that, and why did you switch to it?
I actually like the change DuoLingo has undergone.
Great video! To those just starting a language, I highly recommend Language Transfer!! Its free as well!
Broo im so hyped for fluyo.
