very dark lyrics. I always thought it was, "with the money I saved - gonna buy my youth again" as in, he's gonna give it one last impulsive shot at the moon, packing in the factory job and just laying down the rubber road to freedom, like the Toecutter.
Pardon the faux paux...USA here and one of the reasons I love RUclips is just for this...the opportunity to hear bands I would never had run across with out them!

I'm an atheist....but whatever God/Supreme Being/Weird space particle that thought to put Ian Moss and Jimmy Barnes together I'm willing to convert to.
Harmonicas bore me to tears. You know they're tuned a certain way for each key, so you can't really play anything wrong - you just have to suck and blow and the shit will play itself.

bannsidereddie I cannot wait for another Aussie band to be touring, they already touring the world, so my chance will come in November for AC/DC. I am also hoping for Chisel to tour once again, but would love to see another show in Adelaide, where I was born and raised.

Roy Mustang Aussie music pub nights were never concerts. They were playing week by week to earn some money. Back in the 70's & 80's that's all they could do. Sooo many aussie bands, sooo many pub crawls, sooo awesome (hate that word 'awesome'!) But they were! xx
I sadly missed that era when the pub scene was the best way to be heard, would have been great to be around at the time, but sadly was born a little late to enjoy it,
