      Because he is so good in a live situation. So many hot blues players have it rehursed. Ian is way above that level.

    One of my favorite Chisel songs. Never gets old.

      very dark lyrics.
      I always thought it was, "with the money I saved - gonna buy my youth again" as in, he's gonna give it one last impulsive shot at the moon, packing in the factory job and just laying down the rubber road to freedom, like the Toecutter.

      Harmonicas bore me to tears. You know they're tuned a certain way for each key, so you can't really play anything wrong - you just have to suck and blow and the shit will play itself.

    the finest example of Aussie Rock you will ever see, Cold Chisel, so many talented men performing like a well oiled machine.
    as the guys said, when they are on stage at the same time, something magical always happens. one of the biggest reasons why i love Cold Chisel, certainly one of the greatest live acts we have ever produced.

      bannsidereddie I cannot wait for another Aussie band to be touring, they already touring the world, so my chance will come in November for AC/DC. I am also hoping for Chisel to tour once again, but would love to see another show in Adelaide, where I was born and raised.

    This song always reminds me of road trips. It's such an Aussie sound. Mossy is the best. And Jimmy sounds great in this version.

    I was at this concert and possibly one of the younger in the crowd; the electricity from the audience was amazing as everyone around me knew every word and nuance. I have seen James brown, U2, Lenny kravitz, killers and many other bands but nothing compares to the chisels live.

    I listened this awesome song when I worked in Australia. I worked as a chef.
    Our restaurant always turned on this song.
    What the.... Whenever I heard this song, I wanted to go out from my work!
    Now I came back to my country. This song always made me remind that times

    RIP Steve (drummer), thanks Mossy, Barnesy, Don, Phil and Dave - what an outfit....was blessed to have been at many memorable concerts - Newcastle Workers linger long in the memory..everyone in attendance going home drenched with sweat, classic song after song of blisteringly hot Oz rock - nothing today comes close. Should have conquered the world, but kind of glad you didn't, those that were there know how special you were...and we were to enjoy you....thanks

    Cant wait for them to play this next year in New Zealand on their 50 year tour. They deserved world wide recognition at their prime as good as any band on the planet.
    If only they had made it in USA another Australian superstar band as good as ACDC

    Ian & Jimmy; their voices just melded in harmony. they sooo complemented each other. They were truly the greats of Aussie rock. I know, I saw them all the time when they played the pubs of Melbourne. Don't question me!

      i won't question you, i saw them twice in Adelaide for the Light the Nitro tour and at Deniliquin, they played this song each time and the entertainment centre was on fire that night, but at Denilquin it was like the who place erupted, best concerts i have ever been too,

      Roy Mustang Aussie music pub nights were never concerts. They were playing week by week to earn some money. Back in the 70's & 80's that's all they could do. Sooo many aussie bands, sooo many pub crawls, sooo awesome (hate that word 'awesome'!) But they were! xx

      Cold Chisel, Rose Tattoo, Hunters & Collectors, Midnight Oil, Airbourne, The Screaming Jets, Cosmic Psychos, Allegiance, The Angels, Damaged, King Parrot, The Mark Of Cain, The Poor. Destroyer 666. All Aussie. All massively underrated.

      @@jacquesdemorton5871 if you cant hear the different scales he is playing and the alternate picking he does during the end piece of the solo you are a muppet and have no business commenting on anything musical :) btw I play tech death metal drums and these guys test my stamina still... you try 4 on the floor for 5 minutes non stop and video it... I'll wait

    Mossy is just brilliant. Lead guitar and vocals. Dave Blight on the harp, along with Mossy makes the song. Classic Chisel. Classic Aussie rock. Doesn't get any better than this.

    what a band , so fucken sad that Steve Prestwich aint around no more, i cried when i heard he passed on, he and the the rest of Chisel gave us so many great times and memories they are true legends in aussie rock and us kiwis will always remember what a outstanding kickass rocknroll beast they were RIP Steve

    OH tytytyty for uploading all the clips it's great to see them playing.
    I am bummed that I never ever got to see chisel live at all. Was too young when they were 1st around & somehow have missed later events. I am going to see Jimmy in concert next friday night though @ the Palais, can't bloody wait.

      They all are. No weak spots in that band. Mossy and Barnesy tend to stand out performance-wise, but the other guys hold their own and contributed a lot behind the scenes.

    Libertyordeaf: Spot on, The American recording people required Chisel to change and modify their style to make it more accepting to the American record buying masses, Chisel said no, which their great track "You got nothing I want" was all about.
