  • If you're a beginner and learning how to use Garmin Livescope, tie on this simple rig to help see your jig on the screen. The better you can see your jig, the more crappie you will put in the boat.

    Love the loop knot but I go through the loop three times because I had an issue with slipping(with fluorocarbon). I also keep the knot very close to the hook eye. Usually about .25 inch from eye because I had issue with hook snagging in my loop when the loop is left larger in size. Great video brother!

    Not knocking the fish your catching but I live on Lake Fork and even out small fish would eat those. From Dec 1st through the last day of Feb we have to keep every fish we catch because we are getting them from 35+ foot deep. But even saying that the small fish we catch are over 10 inches and weigh a pound or better but it is Texas and on lake Fork......fish on brother thanks for the tips on the livescope.....

      Oh I know what you mean about lake fork crappie. I fished fork last year and caught some really nice fish. Unfortunately, during the video series on Lake of the Ozarks most of the lake was frozen over. I couldn't get to the main creeks that hold the bigger (1.5-1.75lb) fish. This is a video on lake fork in November ruclips.net/video/4djo0zRkftg/видео.html

    Every time I use a heavy weight above my jig it feels like a lite bite. lol Take that big weight off and you can feel the bite a lot better for some reason.

    • @FloppingCrappie
      @FloppingCrappie  3 года назад

      That is the one disadvantage of using this setup. Once you get comfortable seeing your jigs on the screen. I normally use a double jig setup. This let's you feel the bite a lot better.
