I think that is the best view ive seen on livescope. Thats what ive been looking for when watching videos on the size of a good size crappie. Thanks for posting this video. I got into some nice crappie this last weekend and they were about the same size on my screen. Been wondering what good crappie looked like on livescope since i got mine. Thanks again for this video.
Got livescope late last summer. Immediately started catching crappie in deep water around structure but haven’t tried locating loners like you just did. Been busy trying to finish masters degree but almost done and I can’t wait to try this. I have found lots of structure to fish since I got livescope
I really appreciate the tip about controlling the Xi5 with the remote. I knew you could scroll speed up and down, but never thought of utilizing it like that. Thx!
Hi back in guntersville alabama lake I was fishing at night by they call pump house off a hyw fishing in the dark with latern and two guys trolled motor up slowly to us out to where we was throwing our jigs they had green lights under there bass boat as soon he showed up we started catching crappie one after the next with those green lights shinning down in deep water we caught as many as we could until they trolled off from us then crappie stopped biting!! Use greens lights under your boat at night you will catch whatever is out there💯👍
Really why not just net them , I can see using something to find structure but to in all practical purposes you’re spotlighting fish lol your not fishing
This has to be one of the best explanations of how to use the livescope system. Thanks! Keep pumping these types of videos out and I will keep watching. Sub'd
So the 20 degree is what that thing shoots forward and at 50 foot your beam is actually 18' wide and at 25 foot its 9' So it actually scans wider then you think. I didn't know this till I seen an ice fisherman make a video on it and literally spray painted the snow and drilled holes with his ice drill! Pretty sweet video and really puts it in perspective on how wide that 20 degree actually is! We are headed to catch some giants in the morning so stay tuned for that video! I will set a new PB with the scales tomorrow! LOL
I have a minn kota torovva, can you mount the transducer to the shaft of one of these new trolling motors, if so would you be so kind to show how, because all I have heard is I would have to mount on a separate shaft. Thanks
Hey have you ever had an issue with your GoPro blinking really badly whenever it videos your livescope screen? Mine just randomly started doing this and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
One of the best live scope videos I have seen. Good job! One day… One day I’ll get one. LOL. New subscriber here. Mainly spotted bass fishing on Lanier, But love crappie fishing as well. Glad I found your channel. God bless!
Wow that’s awesome being able to see the fish the lure and then being able to actually watch the fish turn towards the lure and hammer it ! Great video ! One question , do you prefer 2D ? I know they have others out there and in 3d . Is that just your preference?
Do you have a video that shows how to you set up your live scope? You refer to "how I have my gain set" (talking about the red dime). I would be interested in learning how to get those changes in color. Thanks
@@GrandLakeGuy I hope so. I just wanna learn their patterns during the seasons. Where the boogers go in winter. Mainly. Lakes too crowded in summer. Tight lines buddy!!
What settings do you have your livescope on for your screen and fish to show up like that? I'm new to livescope and have only had it out a couple of times
I use the Blue color scheme, this is what gives you the red dots. I then turn the gain up just to the point where its starts getting grainy. I also turn the color gain up just a little.
This was an 11ft acc rear seat rod with a bnm reel. I use this style of reel because it's super light and it complements the super light acc rod really well. You can hold this setup for hours and your arms wont get tired
Yes, I can feel the bite. Depending on what rod you're using, you may or may not be able to feel it. These ACC rods are so light that you can feel the thump
For sniping crappie like in this video. I would recommend going with the Josh Jones setup. 24ft fiberglass bass boat (Ranger, Skeeter, or Phoenix). The bass boats hug the water, are heavy, and are extremely easy to control even in heavy wind. This allows for great boat control, which will be way easier to stay on top of brush piles. I would then put a 16 inch Garmin on the front and put the Livescope transducer on your trolling motor. I would get the Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor. Main unit. Lowarance HDS biggest unit you can get - I like Lowrance but, they are all good (Hummingbird, Garmin, etc) Put a Lowrance HDS9 up front too and use it to look at your GPS and 2D sonar
We moved from south Arkansas to north Arkansas that why I was asking it just different kind of fishing on big lakes than little lake an I was lost on what to do up here to fish
This sure does take the fun and skill out of this sport. You might as well light sticks of dynamite and sink them... After the explosion you can start netting up the floaters. Thus is the exact same saying every Fishman has but it's completely ass backwards... because "this is catchin, not fishing!"
@@GrandLakeGuy That's my 1st question too. I know they change but every situation gives a little more experience if you just lay them out - we can see the depth and forward range but give the color, gain, tvg, etc. Thank you for the video!
Just me but so far after 9 months of using Live Scan not thrilled with the results. It is Nov 2021 in MS and will be trying once again. I am fishing in a challenging lake South of Crystal Springs, MS not a large lake and competing with lots of natural bait.

Makes it look easy. Buts really hard to have that kind of boat control especially in wind
Do you have a video that shows how to you set up your live scope? You refer to "how I have my gain set" (talking about the red dime). I would be interested in learning how to get those changes in color. Thanks
i did a basic one, its in the playlist somewhere, livescope settings.

Do u have video or pic of how livescope transducer is mounted on the xi5?
I had a corn field crappie mount on my xi5 at that time.
What settings do you use that makes the fish appear red on the scope? Great video
blue color scheme
What trolling motor do you have and how did you mount the livescope to it
This was a motor guide. Had it for 4 years. used the cornfield crappie Livescope mount
Livescope is awesome - thanks for the video
you bet! thanks for watching MrJcbuilder!
Do you feel them bite, or do you set the hook by sight from the screen?
Mostly by feel. But sometimes both
Show how u got transducer mounted
What settings do you have your livescope on for your screen and fish to show up like that? I'm new to livescope and have only had it out a couple of times
I wanna know how you got it to work on 9 volts lol. Mine is running off 18v and shuts down under 11volts.
That's EXACTLY why I love my livescope. It's totally a game changer.
Yes sir! it's a lot of fun!
I really enjoy your videos. Also I really appreciate your editing. It flows very smoothly and easy to watch. Just like I am watching a TV show.

great video, I've never had an understanding on livescopes but wow they are great! Hoping I can get a kayak and put one on there soon!
Thanks Carlos! You'll love it!
How did you attach livescope transducer to Motorguide trolling motor?
Cornfield crappie mount for xi5. Installed it as recommended
Can you help explain how you set your gain to show the larger crappie in red?
I use the Blue color scheme, this is what gives you the red dots. I then turn the gain up just to the point where its starts getting grainy. I also turn the color gain up just a little.
What do you have your LiveScope gain and settings at for crappie?
I did a video about my livescope settings.
Luv the videos! What length acc rod do you use ? Also noticed you use a fly reel. How come ?

What’s the best brand and size braid for crappie in dingy water.?
i like the fle-fly micro braid 10+ lb test and spiderwire invisabraid
Do you ever fish Eucha? We used to catch a lot of crappie there and Lower Spav too.
Nope, I'm planning on making it there sometime though.
Great footage 👍🏼

What length crappie stix u like ?
dock shooter to 11ft
I may have to try that I been using amber setting and it shows to much baitfish
Yeah, give it a try. Let me know how you like it.
One of the better livescope videos good deal.
Thank you sir!
How heavy of a jig are you using? Having trouble seeing 1/16
Half ounce jig. 15lb braid line.
Which transducer did you get the 12 or 32
32
how can you fish in the wind with livescope when its mounted to your trolling motor? i think its impossible
it isn't my friend. just like driving a skid steer. eventually you can do it in your sleep
What type of reels are you using.and line size ?
Those are the bnm reels, I was using 10lb invisibraid Spiderwire
What setup do you recommend? I am doing research before i buy one.
I currently have the 16 inch screen. it's expensive. but the 12 inch echomap series is the best screen for the price, by far
You can also use dynamite or nets or an old electric phone yo shock them up .
Can livescope be used to catch other fish?
Oh yeah
Man that boat needs a washing.😊
so when fishing like this can you feel the bite to or are you just relying on the livescope?
Yes, I can feel the bite. Depending on what rod you're using, you may or may not be able to feel it. These ACC rods are so light that you can feel the thump
