Some background in case you didn't know: Home runs became a hype due to the statcast era. It made pitchers nastier with higher velocity and spin rates, which makes it harder to make contact or string hits together. Even if you get people on base, you still have to get them across the plate. That's not so easy to do. Teams often leave runners stranded. So instead they started focusing on launch angle and power to get the ball over the fence and automaticly score runs. Basically, you're trying to overpower the opposing team on both sides of the ball. It was figured it was ok to trade home runs for strikeouts (you're not swinging for contact so more likely to whiff), because if the ball is caught and handled by defense, it's just another out and thus same as a strikeout (and spray charts and defensive shifts had made it harder to land a hit). Except that's not really the case, because defense still has to make the play and although major league level defense is generally very good, they still make errors. First batter of the game 3-2 count home plate umpire must want it to be a short game calling Altuve out on that pitch
All I heard on that last pitch to Judge was Bob Uecker saying, VASELINE BALL, 😂😂
I'm sorry but Cortes wasn't hurt. He knew what the end result was. He showed no signs of being injured when he was getting outs and the Yankee fans were goin crazy. He gives up a 3 run HR that ties the game with no outs , then all of the sudden he's injured. Man was scared.
nasty Nestor was not hurt he just got spanked. no excuses they beat him in the regular season too.
Wheels you’re the best!! 🏆⚾️🏟️
Let’s go stros
Yankees go bye bye and the announcers head for their safe spaces to cry themselves to sleep.😢
All that money and they still got swept..lmfao.
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
it really was nauseating listening to those announcers who are supposed to neutral but are actually yankee apologists
They only got swept because sports gambling is a racket. The MLB depends on suckers like you to bet on the games.
I love how announcers tried to make the injury excuse for the Yankees as if professional hitter Michael Brantley isn't out for the stros smdh...they could use him rather than some of the garbage they have to throw out there at the bottom of their lineup
@@mickster1780 Happens every time.
@@mikey18201 I’m not a gambler I’m just making fun of the announcers and Yankees fans like you.
Loooser! 😂😂
NY: "We want Houston!" - Houston: "SWEEP!"
The only Yankee Player that actually did something was Rizzo. No roids just straight up talent
I'm no Yankee fan, but Harrison Bader "actually did something," surely.
De ahora en adelante tendrán que respetar a los Astros, demostraron que no necesitan trampa para estar en ese nivel.
Astro lovely game!
that pena dinger was a 3rd inning dagger
Hope the Blue Jays were watching and taking notes.
I'm looking for the purchase receipt, bcuz the Atros simply own the Yankees. This hsit's gotta be mental at this point.
CONGRATULATIONS ASTROS AS A YANKEES FAN THE ASTROS ARE THE BETTER TEAM PERIOD CASE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bet on the Astros to win the world series. I want to see the look on your face when they blow it.
@@mikey18201 THE TRUTH HURTS WE SUCKED PERIOD
I was hoping the Yanks would win a game so I could sell my tickets to a Yankees fan and make a fortune, but I am OK with the outcome.
20:56 the yankee fans are screaming because they knew they had no hope
Watching the Yankees fans' smiles and laughter turn to tears and sadness after losing the lead--twice--makes me glad to be alive.
Ohtani for MVP please
When the Yanks were up three zip they needed to really keep it going, needed even more runs. Had no dog in the fight. Just a feeling I had. Game was actually lost when the Yanks couldn't add to that early lead.
Judge is like Hardin in that they kick ass in the regular seson when nothing is on the line, but come playoffs, choke city.
Yankees let’s be Frank, this honestly could have been even worse if the Mariners faced off against you if they held the 6 seed.
And with how the last series between the two was, that potential ALDS would have made the Lightning look tame in comparison.
awesome..
I dont know much, but Houston is gonna be tough beat.. Let's go Philly!
After this game, l told people the 'Stros will do it in six. And they did!
Una vez más los Astros se interponen en el Camino a los Mulos del Bronx que terminaron a todo tren además de una temporada para récordar para A. Juddes,
I suppose as a native, life-long Texan, I should be thrilled that the Stros dumped the Boys from the Bronx. BUT, back in the early 1960's, before school classrooms were air conditioned here in South Texas, all us kiddos were taken to the cafeteria during the hottest days and as it happens, TVs were rolled in and we watched the Yankees in the World Series. I'm thinking they were playing the Dodgers, but it was at that time that I became a life long Yankees fan - Roger Marris (sp?), Mickey Mantle. My heroes. Breaks my heart that my boys in pinstripe are done for the season, but still glad the Stros will be representing.
el mejor jugado a la defensiva de los yankee sin duda alguna este año fue su tercera base
Josh Donaldson
Judge is just a regular season player at this point, seems like every postseason he disappoints and disappears
Astros are tuff!!
Two of my least favorite teams, but a great video presentation. Merci beaucoup from Heidiland.
Eat it New York Yankees fans
The overpriced Yankees looked really bad. Embarrassing to be swepted by any team. Many changes should be made for next year.
They should be embarrassed be knockout by the big h
i predicted before the a.l. playoffs that once they stop serving up the cookies to aaron judge that he wasn't gonna hit worth chit. today: confirmed -.063 series batting average. and, despite the fact that he will not be voted the mvp in '22 i can w/o hesitation state that the 'stros did not own s.ohtani
Yesss!!! Yankees out😄😄
Bader had a good series. Unfortunately, he was the only one. lol
How can a pop up out be part of the highlights?
So, it's really 2 national league teams in the World Series.. I dont know when Houston was put into the american league, but it wasnt that long ago, I'm assuming
It's almost a win but the throw to second base is an error
Yankee stadium looked super dead compared to every other teams fans 😂
And he can’t hit the homer when it counts 😅
The roids wore off lol
ALMVP is Jordan Alvarez. Yankees is weak and the Astros had a more meaningful season. The judge was unable to let the team win in the end. Astros had more wins during the season.
