Just imagine singing and performing on stage with 100 pounds of weight strapped on you. Till Lindemann, the lead singer is just a total beast. Also, I had the pleasure of seeing them live back in September of 2022, here in NJ at MetLife stadium and all of their songs are phenomenal live!
He got certified after an accident at a show where a cloth caught fire on stage. To prevent it from happening again they wanted more control of it themself. Yeah the wings weigh 50 kilogram or around 110 pound for you guys. Till does not walk around with them anymore, he was fetting back problems from the weight of them.

Those wings are digging into his back. The original wings had little to no padding. And would cut into his back. It got close to his spine. Later ones had thick padding along the back.
Not just Till, if i remember correcly 2-3 members are actually licenced pyrotechnicians.. One part were safety and another is that pyrotechnics and technicians are expensive, so they save money by doing it themselfs

The first time I saw Rammstein was during this tour. This was their closer. I was able to be in the front row and it was unlike anything I've ever experienced at a show. Saw them again in August 2022 and it was the best show I've ever been to. Definitely see them if you ever get the chance. You won't ever forget it.

Me chilling, drinking and talking with some friend. Than this song came on. And this whistling suddenly had my full attention. I went to the bartender and asked who that was. He meant a new band, Rammstein. That was in '97. With love from Germany 🤘🏻 ❤
They could just appear on stage performing their songs without all the effects, the people would buy the tickets anyway. The fact that they spend so much money time and effort on the event shows that they are true artists from the heart.
4:04 Richard and Paul always have open mics, but Rammstein uses backing tracks for the chorus to have a more concise sound. Is a mix of they singing/whistle and the backing track.
Rammstein live is so delicious. Last days I saw an older interview with Christoph the drummer. He said: When I said the effects are to much. The other guys said shut up. Bigger - Louder - Brighter! 😂

Correct, Till is the only master pyrotechnician who was allowed to this these stunts in a Portugal concert hall which was... made of wood. The precision and technical prowess of this man are unbelievable. And yeah the wings weight between 50-60 Kg. He knew he had not only to move extremely slow, but as thw wings are movable, one miscalculation and someone might get 50kg of flaming steel on their heads
Depending on the wood its no big deal (lets just say a thick beam made out of wood like oak or other dense wood is in a house fire way more safe then a basic steel beam the same thickness) It usually gets complicated in the US but these days its a clear "No Pyro? No Show!"

The whistling is being performed live, as someone who can whistle quite well, it is still incredible the quality on this particular performance, because of the clarity, and how true it is to the album version. Also the clarity on it. if you were to whistle into your mic, it would likely sound like a steaming pile because of the air being directly focused into the mic. You can see the guy who is whistling, with his lips nearly pressed to the mic, im always amazed that it is performed live with that clarity.

Many years ago, Rammstein had a concert when pyrotechnics malfunctioned and some of the audiences were injured during the malfunction. Did you noticed Til and other bandmates are covered in goo? Goo is flame- resistant material protects them during pyros. Keyboardist is known as "Flake." During most of the concert, Flake walks on the treadmill. Because he gets bored too easily. But Til have surprises for Flake as some here seen them live in concerts.
I have seen Rammstein in 2019 and 2022. If you ever got the chance, you need to see them! But be sure to know when the tickets are released, because the tickets will be sold out in minutes! also, great reaction! Ich tu dir weh, is a great song i think you will love too!
Feuer Frei is a great energetic song. Either live in Paris or the original video, I think you'll love it. Engel or Angel, the whistling, I think it's live & to be able to play in a different key at the same time, amazing. And finally, the guitarists are so tight, that's a skill in itself.

Went with my best friend to Rammstein twice this year in Dresden Germany. It was fourth and fifth time that i saw then live and they never never never disappoint. Best live band ever in my opinion ❤

So said the drummer. Six nice guys from good old Germany. This was the last song of the main set. The glove Till was wearing was the controls for the wings. The whistling was a combination of real and prerecorded. There was a tech issue with the wings during the song

This is the first video I watched from you - but it was such a good reaction! :) (btw, they sold out Madison Square Garden in 30 mins) I really love Rammstein and I am listening to them for around 25 years now, even though I saw their shows now multiple times they are still amazing! And nowadays they let the whole stadium sing "Engel", it always gives me chills how beautiful it is! Another funfact: they perform their shows without a break (around 21 songs) which I also find very interesting, regarding their ages by now lol And as far as I know: they recorded the whistle back in '97 and it is playback, but they also whistle live too :) If you should need help with the lyrics / facts about the band, feel free to ask! :)
I was so lucky to see them in chicago in 22. I had to wait 2 years after i bought the tickets because covid showed up. Girl let me tell ya it was the coolest damn thing i ever saw and heard it was incredible. It literally ruined all other concerts for me. I have seen about 5 other artists concerts since then and was pretty much yawning in every one of them. No joke, and i liked these bands too. RAMMSTEIN FOREVER!!!❤❤❤😊😊

Here's something for you... you mentioned you like blues... please try "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" by 'Blood, Sweat, and Tears' performed in Kurpark, Germany 1974. This is Blues singing the way Blues is supposed to be sung! You can see the feelings Jerry puts into his singing. Even has some horns and a flute solo in there. A true masterpiece that needs to be seen.
It sounds like the whistles are part of the pre recorded "add tracks" - which include also the femals voice. Might also be, that the whistles are played with the keys. But hey, that's all part of this massive, top notch show that Rammstein delivers! I've seen them just before their breake through in a pretty small club in Austria, right before "Engel" hit the charts. They used to be a cool sort of industrial metal band - but still back then, they worked with lots of pyros - that's a part of the main concept from the very beginning.

Those wings also make an appearance in the Deutschland Video. There they're grace the angel figure. Somehow no one so far, who reacted to this and Deutschland seemed to have noticed.
I had an unexpected opportunity to have a (very) short talk with a one of them in the middle of one a Rammstein set at a festival once, because they found an inflatable little boat some-damn-where and set about crowdsurfing with it. If I remember right, that was only minutes before Till gave half the crowd a confetti facial from a giant dick mounted to the stage. In short: If ya haven't already - go see Rammstein asap. It's an experience.

Rammstein is the first Band from Germany they can play at The Madison Square garden in few of miuntes the concert .....sell out. Iam from germany and we proud of this.
Great reaction. Check out either Feuer Frei or Sunna live. Both are great live. This is why they say Other bands play live but Rammstein Burns!!! Plus I think they said the wings weighed about 250 lbs. Now he doesn't carry the wings anymore now he is hanging over the stage with a rig supporting both Till and the wings. Keep up the good work
This was the last song of the main set. The glove Till was wearing was the controls for the wings. The whistling was a combination of real and prerecorded. There was a tech issue with the wings during the song
it is so loud beeing there live. you feel the base as shock waves and the heat from the fire balls just hit you as well
their live shows are an experience. music, lights, pyros, heat from the fireworks, the crazy crowd, and more! i know well. ive seen them live 3 times. :)

The keyboardist is also known as Flake 💗🫠 he’s my favorite!!! Saw them live last year for both shows in Berlin … Till and his pyrotechnic skills are amazing 🇩🇪🙌 girl come to Germany!!!
When you are in first few rows the heat from the pyrotechnics really hits ya.
Seen them twice. once in Vegas and at the Coliseum in SoCal. Both were absolutely epic.
This is the first video I watched from you - but it was such a good reaction! :) (btw, they sold out Madison Square Garden in 30 mins) I really love Rammstein and I am listening to them for around 25 years now, even though I saw their shows now multiple times they are still amazing! And nowadays they let the whole stadium sing "Engel", it always gives me chills how beautiful it is! Another funfact: they perform their shows without a break (around 21 songs) which I also find very interesting, regarding their ages by now lol
And as far as I know: they recorded the whistle back in '97 and it is playback, but they also whistle live too :) If you should need help with the lyrics / facts about the band, feel free to ask! :)

I was so lucky to see them in chicago in 22. I had to wait 2 years after i bought the tickets because covid showed up. Girl let me tell ya it was the coolest damn thing i ever saw and heard it was incredible. It literally ruined all other concerts for me. I have seen about 5 other artists concerts since then and was pretty much yawning in every one of them. No joke, and i liked these bands too. RAMMSTEIN FOREVER!!!❤❤❤😊😊
Ovo je dosta delikatno, duhovito i "zabavno". Ne znam koja je to razina pretencioznog scenskog truda, - ali genijalna elegantna družina zvana "Kraftwerk" bili su (i ostali) neprikosnoveni bogovi njemačke avangarde.. i jedan od najutjecajnijih svjetskih bendova, * svih vremena.

Here's something for you... you mentioned you like blues... please try "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" by 'Blood, Sweat, and Tears' performed in Kurpark, Germany 1974. This is Blues singing the way Blues is supposed to be sung! You can see the feelings Jerry puts into his singing. Even has some horns and a flute solo in there. A true masterpiece that needs to be seen.

It sounds like the whistles are part of the pre recorded "add tracks" - which include also the femals voice. Might also be, that the whistles are played with the keys. But hey, that's all part of this massive, top notch show that Rammstein delivers!
I've seen them just before their breake through in a pretty small club in Austria, right before "Engel" hit the charts. They used to be a cool sort of industrial metal band - but still back then, they worked with lots of pyros - that's a part of the main concept from the very beginning.

I had an unexpected opportunity to have a (very) short talk with a one of them in the middle of one a Rammstein set at a festival once, because they found an inflatable little boat some-damn-where and set about crowdsurfing with it. If I remember right, that was only minutes before Till gave half the crowd a confetti facial from a giant dick mounted to the stage.
In short: If ya haven't already - go see Rammstein asap. It's an experience.
Hi Stacy, if you love keyboardist Flake's solo, please respond to the song WEISSES FLEISCH live from Madison Square Garden (same concert as Engel). First Richard (lead guitarist) has a solo, then Christoph (drums) and then Flake (keyboard) has a dance solo. Apart from Christoph, the remaining 5 band members have a little choreography

I just wonder, if you´ll do " Haifisch " - Live from Madison Sqare Garden , or the Original Music Clip. The lyrics of this song are basically a moan being an angel. The refrain "Gott weiss ich will kein Engel sein" means "god knows I don't want to be an angel". You can see those wings in the background of the official Rammstein video Deutschland at 6:23 too.
