@@maquillamelily212wow!! Sounds like you too, have had a very hard life! I don't know you, or anything about your story.. However, I never heard of them ever seeing each other, except one time by accident?? That tells me, he did a lot of complaining and blaming everyone, except for himself! I'm sure he could have tried a lot harder to see her if he really wanted to. Imo, he preferred to play the victim. Rest in peace to the mother and daughter 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤😢😢
How sad that both mother and daughter have missed so much life that they deserved to live. It breaks my heart when kids so young take their lives. They have no idea how precious life is at that age and that the future may be so brighter. It also breaks my heart how many woman live in fear due to domestic violence and how many die because of it. No one should have to live in fear. RIP to mother & daughter. Together for eternity. Thank you for another heartfelt story. Once again you did an amazing job. Man. You knocked it out of the park on this one brother. I remember this clearly. Your intro is so reminiscent with how Latinos grew up watching TV. This is a heart breaking story and you gave it justice. Rest in Peace ,ladies.
When the expectations for women is to save the entirety of humanity, they are doomed to fail. It takes community of people to raise a child. That man NEVER tried to be apart of his daughter’s life. He saw his daughter more in death than when she was alive. He has regrets for being a horrible father and will never admit or take responsibility or accountability for his actions.
What are you even talking about, “the expectations for women is to save the entirety of humanity?” That expectation lives in your mind, maybe, but certainly not the majority, or even minority of humans. What a daft thing to say.
This man was out of control and should’ve been confined!! He was able to constantly make threats against Maritza with no consequences! He wasn’t a part of the child’s life, which was his fault!! He didn’t care about Yoandra, he cared more about terrorizing her mother! He obviously has an issue and shouldn’t be allowed in society ever again
How about this question? Why did their daughter commit self killing or was thinking of self killing even before she got pregnant? As a father, he felt helpless to help her or support her personally until it was way too late AND lost a grandson/grandddaughter on top of it. This case is so complex that it isn't black and white. The daughters boyfriend saying that Yoandra wanted to live with her father instead of her mother speaks volumes about the family situation.
Can you imagine being Emilio's second wife, knowing he's obsessed with his ex, and instead of being around and reliable, he's just out stalking her all day?
His second wife probably had suspicions that Yoanna was murdered either by her mom/stepdad directly or indirectly by committing self killing. She had every reason to see her husband distraught, mourning, mad, upset and frustrated with the outcome. Especially since he knew about the child protection services together all at once. Regrets can haunt you forever or for a long time. I lost a very close friend of mine in 2022 at age 26 and my half brother age 28 in 2019 due to self killing.

That could've changed things. But sadly, he had no intentions of stopping there. Especially when he said, "what I should've done a long time ago" at the scene. You can tell it was something he'd thought about doing. So scary
Stomach churning video to watch. I'm surpised he wasn't giving the DP. To gun down someone like that in broad daylight is diabolical. Its similar to the Gladys Ricart case. Both women were in abusive relationship and ended up getting murdered cold blooded by their exes. RIP Yoandra 🕊️🙏🌹 RIP Maritza 🌹🙏🕊️ My sincerest condolences to the the families.
My gosh, such a series of tragedies. This entire family was devastated. I don’t know how someone could even begin to move on from so much trauma. I truly hope this family has come to find some sense of peace with this horrible series of events.
I remember this case, it was crazy to me to see and hear the lack of empathy of the MSM not much has changed, it’s gross. Profit over humanity. Emilio obviously had untreated mental illness. It’s sad to see three lives destroyed. On a light note, that intro took me back to my teenage years. Mid 90s coming in strong.

This was really close to home. I attended summer school at Rickards Middle School in 1997. The father was deranged and the police let Maritza down. I'm sorry Yoandra felt so alone that she ended it all. May God continue to cover Maritza's son and husband.
I was 17 years old when this happened.... Ocurrió así exploded this video to infinity... they were playing it all the time,at all times... Over and over again... And I remember I thought it looks a little bit fake.
I was just 10 when I saw the news about this but the situation. It was never explained like this. I only heard it was a DV situation. Now I cry knowing the backstory. Thanks you for covering these stories.
21:22 wow so not only was he a dead beat but he also ceaselessly made her life hell after losing her child, which was obviously cos he felt guilty for never bothering with her before she passed, to them unalive her 😢
Correction- 'Their child'. The fathers ONLY child. They also lost a grandchild. The parents and stepfather failed and all 3 ended up with full regrets right after Yoandra took her own life.
My husband grew up watching Univision and Galavision, he told me about seeing this video but neither of us knew the whole backstory. You're a fantastic storyteller.
God bless Sr. & Martin for coming to Maritza's defense when she could no longer speak for herself. I did not expect to cry so hard watching this! Good respectful storytelling ❤
Damn these old school Spanish commercials take me back in my childhood days…rip to the mother and daughter 🙏🏾🕊️ it’s sucks that the daughter never got the chance to experience her adult life and the mother was gone in the prime of her life and would of celebrated her birthday today.

I've covered her story but not in depth. Still hoping to speak to her family.
Such a sad story. Very well done.
If only he put that effort into taking care of his child as he did stalking her mother.
I think he was More concerned he couldn’t have her mother. Not really her. He used that his daughter as a pawn.
I feel like the father put a lot of trust on her mother and stepfather and all 3 ended up failing with all 3 feeling full of regrets.
My gosh, such a series of tragedies. This entire family was devastated. I don’t know how someone could even begin to move on from so much trauma. I truly hope this family has come to find some sense of peace with this horrible series of events.
Omg!! I remember watching this when I was a kid so sad
I was marathoning your channel all day!
Thank you for this video. This horrible 😞 case was shown on the HBO documentary Violence: An American Tradition in the segment on domestic violence.
I remember. I still have that airing somewhere.
@EvilIntentions Yup. It's a good documentary.
Omg i remember this very very sad😢
This man hated his wife more than he loved his daughter....Great work on the video
You’ve got one of the best narrating voices! Very calming, but not dull or boring.
Love this channel. Thank you for bringing awareness to the black and brown communities .
Condolences to the family ... 🙏😔
I'm never this early. I just recently found your channel. I love the way you tell a story and that you tell stories a lot of people have never heard about! You are one of my favorites and you should have WAY MORE subscribers! I wish you nothing but continued success!
Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate you being here!
So heartbreaking, thank you for covering the stories with such care and respect.
I've always seen this horrifying clip throughout the years, but I never dug deep into this story. Thank you for putting me on! Your channel is really the truth. I love your content!
Brother, you brought back hella memories with this one, born n raised in south Florida I remember this vividly.
Have a Peruvian background so of course the TV was locked on telemundo etc. and I remember watching with my moms this entire story play out being 7 years old at the time…
Love what you do to bring awareness, and I hope you do more on events that took place here in Florida.
Can’t wait for the next video.
Hey, I actually went to Northeast high school with Yoandra. She was the sweetest girl. This fucked everyone up for awhile. Such a tragedy.
Thank you for the upload Jose ❤
Thank you for taking the time to watch!
OMG growing up in eastharlem el barrio all these channels were our parents life line to it all. To have migrated from PR to new York in the 90s it was truly a blessing to see something in my language ❤
Omg I'm from New Orleans and I very well remember this case shown on our local news stations!! This case haunted me for many years as I was a very sheltered child and didn't know about the evil in the real world...
Thank you for bringing this beautiful woman's memory back to us❤
Thank you sooo much for the intro! I’m from L.A. but this was my era too! Even the pepto commercial I remember. I thought this was was lost to my memory and history but 1000% thank you for that!
You can tell she was debating on getting out of the car. So sad. 😢
Man I remember seeing this when I was just a little girl 😢. I am now 35 years old but this incident always remained stuck in my memory, even now. 💔🙏🏾🙏🏾
Wow… you took me back… I remember watching this on TV. Very well retold. Much love and respect! 💯
This was so well done. Love your videos!
Dead beat dads always use the same excuses 😂 it’s like there’s a secret book they all buy that gives them answers to give for when someone asks them why they don’t see their kid/s
Shakespeare himself could not have written a tragedy of that magnitude!
Thank you for your fairness, truth and overall, compassion in every episode.
Jose, once again, thank you for what you do. Sending all my love. R.I.P. Yoandra and Maritza. You will never be forgotten. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Probably imo the best youtube channel hands down...❤❤
Thank you so much!
This brought me back to my childhood! 😊 Oh WOW this story escalated quickly 😮 insane.
Oh man, that intro...(spot on Sir, spot on) 👍🏼 The NOSTALGIA!
Yes
and if the baby had lived would have been 31. tragic
As always you speak with only respect
Thank you!
Thank you Jose for telling Yoandra's and Maritza's story....My condolences to the family of Yoandra and Maritza. RIP 🙏🏼🕊️❤️
RIP to both mother and daughter 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Ii can't believe this man takes no blame in what and how his daughter felt and did. He blames the mother who raised her fed her clothed her etc. A real POS.
Just because the parent fed you and clothed you and goes to church every Sunday does not mean that you are a good person/parent.
I was not expecting that ever !
Lots of love and peace from Ireland 🇮🇪
As always!! This is so well written,so raw and real.... This channel is going to keep getting bigger and every single view is well deserved!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
You have a soft deep voice that tells these horrible tales with respect and calm...thank you for bringing a voice to these fallen angels
Great video Jose. And such a sad story. Respect. D
Very sad story. Thank you for sharing. Rest in peace and love mother and daughter.
Condolences to the family this is so sad😢😔💔
I remembered watching this with my mom & we were in total shock! Spanish news always used to show way more uncensored news than U S. television
This man just took me back to the days of living with my grandmother on Halsey Street
Bro your channel is the best. And your voice is wow. Ahh yeah the novelas took me back. Thank you for sharing this story so sad
Truly sad case.💔Thank you for sharing.
Thank you once again for your excellent and sympathetic coverage of people's stories.
I think the daughter was experiencing something within that family that we may never know. Poor child! RIP
You have an incredible talent for doing this. You manage to take me to NY from New Zealand in very real stories told with feeling. Thankyou 😢
I love your videos you always do an amazing job covering these stories 🤗❤
Thank you!
@EvilIntentions your welcome😊
Thank you so much, José, for not only your dedication to bringing us such high-quality documentaries but also for sharing your incredible talent for storytelling and sharing these dark, tragic cases. I really respect the way you spend a large portion of the video bringing the victims "back to life" and don't rely on the sensationalism of the case. This story is so important for many to hear - rest peacefully, Maritza and Yoandra. Your stories won't be forgotten 💔💔
