  • On March 9th of 1993, the Bedford Park section of the Bronx would be left shaken when three innocent lives were taken without hesitation in a botched robbery. The price of those three lives? $130. The tragedy would leave the community reeling for years to come, but this story isn't just about the actions of two monsters. It's about survival in more ways than one. May the three innocent people who lost their lives always rest in peace. My condolences go out to the families and everyone else affected. You aren't forgotten.

Feinds‼️thats who, only a fucking junky would rob a restaurant that provides free food and doesn't make much money and not once but four times be fcking fr they knew after the first few times that the restaurant didn't make much through out the day‼️ meaning they robbed them knowing they only had 1-2 hundred dollars in the register. Probably why they never found the suspects, the cops are looking for a group of young robbers when they should be looking for someone with a fckin Pookie pipe💯

I've been patiently waiting for this story and can't wait to watch. I grew up around the corner and this happened when I was a kid. The owner just recently passed within the last month or two. Great spot with great food and with the same servers from way back then. I believe they also owned a meat market we had many many years ago right about where that Pique 86 restaurant is now . It was also called Lena's . They closed closer to 10 pm ever since the incident but I'm sure it never affected their business . The servers are the same for as long as I could remember and the food has always been wonderful. Thank you for this story.

At this SPECIFIC date I was serving a 90-day skid bid in Westchester County Jail near White Plains NY.I came home in Early April.Basically 3 weeks after this incident. So although I couldn't have been in the area for this particular incident?I went too go look for food over there for a 9 month period on the REGULAR with only a 2 month break bcs of a minor jail sentence.many time nd I easily could have been in that restaurant looking for food at closing time for many of the other times the restaurant got robbed. He says in the story that the place was robbed at least four to five times that year.. my lady at the time you used to take the train nd bus all the way to Westchester county jail to come visit me..I used too sleep at her house at LEAST 2 times a week from November 92 till about August of 93.. she lived on the last building on Marion right before Bedford Park boulevard.. and mostly I will go get something to eat when I was hungry on Bedford Park boulevard any one of those delis or little pizza shops in between Marion and Webster.. mostly.. but every once in awhile I would take the little trip the little three block trip up the street to 198.. from Marion.Bcs they had Delis and food spots up there too.. but I was also aware of the risk of going there at certain times because there was a lot more action on 198 than there was on that little block where I was even though it was not far away but it was very quiet over there..Small World.I might have walked right by you back in 1993 but I wouldn't have noticed you and you wouldn't have noticed me I was already 21 years old in 1993 and you were just a kid..But luckily all the times I went to get food and late at night it was too many times nothing ever happened to me.. rest in peace and condolences to the families of the ones lost.. and senselessly to the people who weren't even resisting didn't make sense.Terrible.

Me too. I'm from the southern part of the US and it's crazy at the difference in the crime. We aren't crime free by any means but especially for the time that kind of violence was almost unbelievable. I said no way would I live in NY. Or any of the other big cities. Detroit scares me to think about it. It's really incredible what people will do to one another. And for what? Money that will be gone quickly and it doesn't just reappear. It's just money, and people will destroy entire families by there stupid selfish actions. A job doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. And when your record doesn't allow anyone to want to hire you that's your fault. No excuse for killing innocent people. You just go from a loser to a murdering loser.

Imagine knowing you slaughtered 3 people for $130. No amount is worth peoples lives, but $130 is just insulting to the families of the victims. It just shows what true lowlifes the murderers are. Nice of the news guy to tell the hospital he was in. 🙄
The gunshot the 14 yo received was insane how it went in and basically came right back out. Like a ricochet shot. The bullet hit at an angle that deflected it off his skull. God said, "Not him, not TODAY!" and before anyone throws in their 2 cents worth. Yes,I truly believe that's what happened. It's not up for debate. If whoever doesn't agree, that's on you. I don't care what anyone thinks. In the least.

My neighborhood my block. I remembered this day and was super saddened. We ate here late at night as it was delicious food and one of the restaurants that stayed open a little later than others on 198. Usually we would go here instead of walking over to the 24 hr diners on Bedford Park. My boyfriend and I were shocked because the first thing we said was that could have been us because we always caught them right before they closed. Very polite people always had smiles on their faces and put love into their food and establishment. May God rest their souls.

Ty so much for sharing this story with such class as always ! Being a Bronx girl at 60 makes me proud of where I came from n this tragedy was horrific I remember it like yesterday n I have never forgotten these amazing souls who lost their lives ! I was born on 182nd n Jerome & Davidson ave my parents got divorced in 1980we moved cross town to Pelham pkwy where the shoe store massacre was n my mom had just got home from shopping and missed that by minutes n u also covered that case amazingly! My papi moved 1982 to Bedford park on the concourse of Lena’s needless to say when thy opened we always grabbed food to go back to the house when we had wkends with our papi ! After this tragedy he was so afraid for us to come over to see him n he wld come to Pelham pkwy to see me n my twin sista ! 1989 I got married 1991 had my son 1995 had my daughter by 2000 my parents wanted me n my husband to move out of the Bronx and a lil north up the Hudson valley so we did ! So when I do go down to Da Bronx to visit friends n whatever family is left n in memory of my papi n the beautiful souls that lost there lives I still go to Lena’s n bring Bronx authentic food n people to the Hudson valley ! FYI I hate when thy say a “ hole in the wall “ those are the best places like a home cooked meal ! If you know u know “IYKYK” ty again n rip to these amazing angels never forgotten 🙏🙏🙏

Jose, where've you been!? I miss your videos when you don't upload. you cover the cases that we've never seen before. RIP to three that lost their lives that terrible day. I also hope the teen was able to move forward with his life.
Edit: keep doing what you’re doing. I love that you give the background and the history of the people/places in your story. It really keeps us engaged, thank you Jose and whoever else is involved in bringing these stories to us.

I found this channel some time around last week. I have already watched half of the videos!! I really love how your videos are made. They’re straight to the point and the right length. I also like how you have given the backgrounds on certain places before speaking on the case. You’ve become my favorite true crime channel ever! ❤

Sometimes it’s so hard to live in this world. Even when you don’t suffer these things, when you aren’t forced to live through them, it’s so hard to see, and to learn about these things. There’s too much pain. We aren’t meant for this.

I cannot imagine the amount of work and dedication it takes to move from another country and then work for like, a decade saving every penny you could toward a goal. Like I know for facts that I couldn’t do it. I don’t have that type of determination that they did. I am so impressed by that, truly.
