The kit for my 2500HD had a bulkhead seal that was 2 inches too short and it was only 1/2” wide; not 1” as shown in this video. Also, the 2500HD kit side rails are 2 sections that join to make the 6’9” length needed. This was disappointing as there’s now an additional joint that becomes a potential leak point for water to infiltrate the inside.
I didn't have the easiest installation with mine. The rails didn't line up woth the cover well(still need to make adjustments), the forward hinge part was not easy to set in the rail. It's not explained well that those carriage bolts go into the rails. I love the way the cover looks and hope I can get the rails adjusted correctly so I can be 100% satisfied. Not there yet!
I just installed this on my truck and it seems like a decent cover. I have a few gripes, in the video there is a pad you can see at 6:25 of the video that was not included with my cover on a 2023 F-150. I spoke with support and they argued that it should not NEED the pad because when the cover is propped up, it should not touch the cab. It also exists on the product page in their website. Sure, I may not need it but what if I wanted to prop it on the cab temporarily to do something in the bed? Support was kinda rude as well and acted like I was asking something that didnt make any sense. My point is, if you need a cover that wont break the bank and you are fine with possibly dealing with terrible customer support, this is the cover for you.
Just installed this cover on a 2020 Ram CrewCab 5’7 bed. Much harder than the video makes it out to be. Took me 6 hours as it didn’t fit properly and had to reinstall everything 3 times before figuring out why it wasn’t fitting. I had to end up drilling my own hole in the rail for one of the carrier bolts. My advice is to watch other videos on RUclips in addition to this one. Two people are pretty much a must because the cover is fairly heavy it will be easier to adjust the cover with another person. Once you get the cover laid down on the rails the key to the whole thing is making sure the cover snaps in place in all sections and then tailgate closes with a sealed connection. If all sections snap, tailgate closes with no gap, and when you look up inside the the bed you don’t see any daylight on the sides then you’re good. Even if the two carrier bolts don’t line up in the holes then just drill your own. I had to reassemble everything 3 times to figure that out.
Love my replacement 2022 Rough Country Tundra TriFold hard tonneau cover thanks Darryl whom I spoke to in Customer Service on 8/20/2024 only a fool would by the OEM cover from Toyota Paul St.Patrick
Installed today on 2019 f150 super crew. It wings up by the cab which i dont like but i think its because i have a plastic bed liner. I may try notching it out
The paper instructions say tighten bottom knob before tightening the middle bolt on clamps which is correct, mine does not latch real easy when folding down for some reason
I haven't bought one yet, currently shopping. This video wasn't very clean about how the back panel is secured, and how it's opened. Do I have to open the tail gate to release a latch?
I had the cheap soft roll up cover on my 2020 Ram and took it through hundreds of those car washes and had ZERO problems so I can't imagine you're going to have any problems with this hard cover...
@@Betterbydefault The soft roll up one did not leak that was on my Ram for 3 years and the New RC hard top tri fold does not leak either it's been on my new trail boss for 3 weeks now. You might see a VERY small amount of moister in a tiny spot sometimes but it's not going to ruin anything that's been my experience.
Ordered this cover on 05/26/24 and it’s not being shipped until 06/17/24 why does it take your company so long to ship!! This company doesn’t drag its ass when took my money out of my bank account‼️
Hardest thing to install one rail was longer then the other one preventing my tailgate from closing had to cut it a quarter of an inch, and the thing does not sit flat
I watched multiple install videos on RUclips. Does anyone know what the two straps closest to the bed are for? They just seem to hang down on all the videos. Not the two to buckle it in the folded position .
I just installed this cover on my new Ram 1500 and it is awesome, I love it! Thank you Rough Country!
Can you drive beltway speeds with it folded completely up?
This was a lot better than the paper instructions. Thank you
I installed mine on a gladiator. It was fairly simple. I am not the smartest, and I barely looked at the instructions. Everything fit very well.

I appreciate the video but would have liked one for Toyota Tacoma

Fits as well as all other rough country parts...
Not sure how to take that comment
Haha
“Base model Ram”😂
This video skips so many steps. Barely helped at all. Very frustrating.
A child could do it
Garbage of instructions

Will this cover work with a factory bed liner? If not, what are your recommendations? Having issues installing the carriage bolts lining up.
How do these covers hold up in drive through car washes?

@@DROPTINEthanks for the response. I’m about to buy one of these. 👍
@@Jerlemi2 I bought one today! For my 2023 Trail Boss.
@@DROPTINE How is it? Does it leak? Just bought a new Silverado.

because its all china crap
The latches don't snap on my 2013 GMC Sierra. I think it's not compensated for with no bare beds without liners.
If I have a spray on bed liner could that effect the installation?
Game changer

What’s the weight capacity?
Is this compatible with the 2024 tacoma trd sport with the arb sports bar?
"Base model Ram" = TRX 😂 👍
My ram bed cover moved 2inches so there is a gap between the boot door and cover how to adjust it.

They are safety hooks the you clip into the small holes on the rails
Every RUclips video shows completely different hardwere than what i have received. It's so frastrating. Why cant it just be all the same.
Trucks are made different thus different parts if you have a tacoma watch tacoma install it helps
I installed this on a Colorado. Idk if it was just me, but the carriage bolts did NOT just drop in place. Anyone else have this issue?
TRX is the top of the 1500 line up, not the base
Just bought the bed cover for my 2024 ram and it doesn’t fit
Too long, too short, did they correct it? More details?
this instruction video was dog?
