Best detailed video I’ve found on RUclips for this particular cover. Convinced me to get this RC cover after watching this video and installed myself. Installation was a breeze thanks to you sir. Thank you 🙏🏼
Great video. I've been debating all sorts of tonneau covers, but this one seems like the best value cover out there. Good instructions. Keep em coming!
Awesome. Glad the vid guided you a little. You’ll have no problem and just a side note, I’ve had zero issues with the cover since install last summer. 🤘 Enjoy your flush cover!
Nice to hear. Finally got around to installing it today. Looks good on the truck and was pretty easy to install with the help from your video. Great tip on loosening the back brackets a bit and closing the tailgate.
I am about to put an Elevate Outdoor, Adjustable Louvered Steel Headache Rack on my 2015 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman 4x4. Do you think there is enough room along the cab side front bed rail to support both the headache rack AND this RC Tonneau Cover? Thanks for your time and reply.
I am not familiar with that product or the install. But the side rails for the TC go all the way up to the front of the bed. However, they aren’t needed that close to latch or secure the TC. You might be able to trim them down a little if needed for the headache rack install clamps.
How easy is it to remove the cover? Just undo those clamps and pull it off the track? I like how easy my soft cover is to remove and reinstall but love the look of the hard cover.
Do you know of any truck rack systems that fit with this tonneau cover when its folded up that are easily removable? Im looking to rack 2x 13' Kayaks ontop of the truck while towing a trailer behind.
Honestly??? Price. I wanted a flat, three panel hard cover and most on the market are around $1000. To my surprise, after having it installed for over a year, the Rough Country tonneau cover has performed flawlessly. PS: no sponsorship at all; but I promote products that are affordable and WORK. Hope that helps!!🤘
No issues, no damage, little water at the very edge of the bed, though the damn brushes never clean the top well enough. Wipe it down while it’s still wet after the wash if you don’t want dirt haze. 😉
Gary, The directions tell you that yes, but, I believe you should wait until you align the cover to its final position before adhering the foam strip. But as they say, many ways to skin a cat 🤷🏼♂️🤣
RC video shows a different install and instructions. With 2 screws to hold it on and crappy striker plates. Yours does not. Not sure what I want to do now.
Maybe their video was an older model of cover? Check the date on their video and mine and see if mine is newer. If so, they might have updated the kit.
Yup. Major thunderstorms both stationary and while driving. Also a power car wash. Only the car wash let some water inside the bed but it only ran down the corners of the bed. Not much at all and wouldn’t effect anything stored in the bed. Maybe a Dixie cup amount in front and rear corners combined. Worth the price in my opinion. 👍🏻
It’s hard to tell and with me having rail covers, it might have differed from the instructions. If I had to redo it, I’d just leave them loose in the beginning and then set ‘em for a flush/tight fit. Appreciate ya watching the video and supporting the channel! Thanks!
Is there a hinge or something that prevents the rail from being mounted? I haven’t looked closely at those tailgates. Thanks for the info for me and other viewers. 👍🏻
these are the little things that would eat up some time. thank you sir for your service 🙏
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🤘

Thanks Tanner! It’s been a good cover. Highly recommend.
Great video! Just ordered one. Looking forward to installing it. 👍

Thanks for the video.. just ordered one for my f150 excited.
Nice. I think you’ll like it. I think they are great quality for the price. No issues with mine all summer. 👍🏻
Thank you for taking the time to explain! Very helpful
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching! 🤘
Nice video, thanks. Will it work with RAM 1500 factory bed rails?
It has its own rails so if you have a factory cargo system rail mounted, I don’t think the clamps will be compatible with that rail.
How easy is it to remove the cover? Just undo those clamps and pull it off the track? I like how easy my soft cover is to remove and reinstall but love the look of the hard cover.
You got it. Just fold it up, unscrew the hand tightened clamps and lift off.
Do you know of any truck rack systems that fit with this tonneau cover when its folded up that are easily removable? Im looking to rack 2x 13' Kayaks ontop of the truck while towing a trailer behind.
I haven’t researched any racks so I am of little help on that subject. Sorry.
Very well explained like a pro..
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid! 🤘
Thank you, very good video.
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks! 🤘
Great detailed video!
Thank you. Hope it helps clear up any questions people may have on install. Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
You are very welcome.
Excellent🎉
Thank you🙇♂️
What made you go with the Rough Country cover as opposed to any of the others

Looks good !! Man that a nice truck !
Thanks man! I like the flush look for sure. Now that you’re back in town. When we sailing?
@@FloridaManTV thinking in a couple weeks (like the21st of this month)
Keep me posted. Looking forward to “man’s day”
how does this hold up in drive thru car washes?
No issues, no damage, little water at the very edge of the bed, though the damn brushes never clean the top well enough. Wipe it down while it’s still wet after the wash if you don’t want dirt haze. 😉
@@FloridaManTV thanks for replying. I’m gonna order one. Great vid btw.
Sweet thanks for watching my review. I have had no issues with my cover. Still on the truck as we speak. 🤘🤘
How quickly is it to remove when you need the full space?
Can do it in literally 1-2 minutes. Fold the panel forward, unscrew the 4 hand knobs in front and lift off.
They.tell you to put that foam on yhe bulkhead first. Is that true?
Gary
Gary,
The directions tell you that yes, but, I believe you should wait until you align the cover to its final position before adhering the foam strip.
But as they say, many ways to skin a cat 🤷🏼♂️🤣

I don’t think you showed the latch install in case I missed it
Latches come preinstalled on the cover. Just need to install the rails.
have you tested it for leaks yet?
right on
You should have put the foam first but good clean up
Thanks.
Can you remove it easily if you have to use the full bed
Yes. Loosen 2 hand turn knobs at the front of the cover and remove. No tools needed. Easy.
what's up with the giant scratch on the rear panel?
I didn’t see one, but if so, not a big deal as it is a bed cover. Now I have to go out and look for it. 🤣🤣
looks like if you made the rails flush at the beginning, you wouldn't have had to go back and lower it... just an observation.
It’s hard to tell and with me having rail covers, it might have differed from the instructions. If I had to redo it, I’d just leave them loose in the beginning and then set ‘em for a flush/tight fit.
Appreciate ya watching the video and supporting the channel! Thanks!
Sadly, my ram has the multifunction tail gate and will not work for this bed cover
Is there a hinge or something that prevents the rail from being mounted? I haven’t looked closely at those tailgates. Thanks for the info for me and other viewers. 👍🏻
@@FloridaManTV I have no idea. Even other bed covers that site ontop of the bed rails say they do not fit
Must be either a different overall length, width or something interfering with the inner rail mounting. Good to know though. Thanks for the info!
