- The most important throw in disc golf history? Our goal is to give away one million dollars and give James Conrad’s Holy Shot and Philo Brathwaite’s Philobatross a run for their money as the most impactful single throw in disc golf! There will be over a thousand people watching the throws in person as well as tens of thousands watching online. The venue, insurance, partner support, statistics, coverage and the tournament all came together to make this event possible.
Presenting partner East Coast Metal Roofing’s owner Paul Lechiara said, “I was excited when I received a call from Steve [Dodge] about the Million Dollar Shot. East Coast Metal Roofing has helped to grow the sport here in New England by donating to various causes and courses. What better way to grow the sport than to give a pro a Million Dollars!!! Members of our team will be there watching to see someone hit the 1st Million Dollar Shot. Good luck to all who are participating.”

Yeaaa these are tough
The fact that Jerm is in attendance upped the chances of Acing by 150%
This should be run Home Run Derby style. Give each player 5-7 throws or a time limit, either way just let them get consecutive throws. It would be so much fun to watch that group just bomb away, you'd at least get a couple metal hits and it would be so much more exciting!
For sure that's the way to do it!
With only one prize, this is the only way to do it. Gotta give everyone a chance to hit it
I agree. Let them throw in consecutive shots. That way they can immediately get a read off their previous throw and immediately change their next throw. That 2nd to last one of Paul's was going in with 20 more ft of power! He landed exactly where the basket would have been 20 feet less
They dont wanna give away a million dollars lol
I feel like consecutive full power throws could risk injury
Don't think I didn't notice all those Big Jerm discs. He was just shmoozing people to throw his discs.
This taught me an important lesson. Albert Tamm absolutely bombs
He does. But pretty sure that last throw from Paul with the "Vinny" disc made it to the tree line at the bottom and nobody else did that
Nah, the furthest throw of the bunch was by far AB who got like 35 feet short of the gap to the green, and next was Simon who was like 30 feet short of that throw by AB.
@@Thisnameisnottakenjk well ya, but we already know they throw stupid far. I didnt know that Tamm could throw that far
@@austinmoser5056 I was replying to sparky nate implying Paul threw the furthest. Albert's distance is well known at this point too. He beat Calvin and others in long drives ok GK pro skins.
@@Thisnameisnottakenjk their throws seemed further because the camera turned more. But go back and watch. Where Paul's last throw landed was past the gap going to hole 1 basket. If it were tournament play, Paul would have had to lay up to the mouth of the gap in order to make par. Tamm would have had a chance at birdie. If Paul's disc had the hieght to hyzer out as much as Albert and Simon, he'd probably be parked at the hole 1 basket. Thus putting him far past the other 2 who were well into hyzer when they landed. Paul was just hitting hyzer when he landed
Jerm is doing his part
He didnt do annything... no aces! Your just up his ass! :D
Lmao
He can only do so much for the boys! It was a nice try at least Jerm!
@@Gramald *you're
@@winstonsmith11 Yeee, did not know i signed up for a spelling bee!
Why does it not say how far the basket is at the start? That would have made a lot of sense.
There must have been 6 halo bosses thrown here. Hahaha. Big Jerm never stops
Calvin always looks like a guy who you just woke up, and only slightly happy to see you lol
Truth
Calvin always looks like he's having a moment like Wesley snipes in Major League when he wakes up outside the fence and asks "I've been cut already?" But then tears it up
@@thomasshileny4551 that is the best Calvin reference I’ve ever heard
Haha Simpson like
Albert Tamm straight from the ski slopes to the golf course...
I loved this video! Tamm's intro at the end had me rolling. Thanks Gatekeeper!
But why did they do that for only him on the final shot? Seemed a little cringe to me, and dude just kept going on and on... Just ask the guy out if you love him so much 🤣
Why did Simon and Paul have to be voted in, they are the top 2 everyone wants to watch lol
That one guy shouting after every throw killed this video for me
Announcer: (messes up Jake’s name)
Jake: “It’s ‘Hebenheimer’. Please don’t mess up my name.”
Announcer: (messes up Jake’s name again)
😁
That was comedic gold right there
Who voted for Jake lol?
The fact no one yelled "That's what she said" a lot makes me both sad and happy at the same time.
I'm about 2min in, and I notice Big Jerm is moving his way through the crowd and is near a good spot to see the shots. Chills. It's been predetermined now. Can't wait.
Flashing an enormous prize with confettis and not giving it is the perfect setup for a great let down video.
Exactly. I'll put up the million next year. That's a .00000 something% ace.
Tamm boldly rocking the PC Principal look.
I'm surprised nobody aced... The Witness was right behind them
Today I got to see paul throw a destroyer again.
Fun to watch. Maybe in the future, a slightly more realistic ace run for 50k instead of a almost impossible ace for a million. Weird for Jerm to be there and no aces. So many times when he's there somebody hits one. Good stuff to see so many bombs.
It’s not impossible. Highly highly unlikely but impossible no
@@jamalydude I agree. That's why I referred to it as "Almost Impossible". Definitely fun to watch just think it would be that much more to watch if someone actually aced. Doing so could potentially be career and life changing. I hope this challenge is done more often. Even something similar with putters only would be highly entertaining.
That fucking music kills me. It takes what could have been an alright event and sends it straight into a territory so amateurish it's bordering on satire.
Thomas Gilbert sighting.
Ab had the best angle and distance. Ricky knew it. Bazooka was close 2nd
Eh I think alberts second was closer
I didn’t know about Tamm until seeing this in real life and then this video. I’m instantly a fan
Lmao 8:06 AB's reaction had me fucking dying
That was really fun to watch!
Great idea, not so great format imo… there should have been prizes… other than the $1M unicorn.. $100 is a slap in the face.
edit out these dorks in the background making noise
Its too far.. pretty ridiculous. Just some exposure for the metal roofing company. They knew no one would hit this...
when he called albert a giant, I could see big jerm smirking 😏
man if someone made this it would have been the ultimate jeremy koling is always there for all the aces!!!!!
would love to see ezra and maybe brodie next time two more bombers but not sure if brodie and paul being there together is a good thing?!?!
What was the distance for this shot?
This is some terrible camera work, but fun event
C0NGRATS SIM0N AND KT 0N THE WINS !!
This would definitely be forehand for me!
12:17 "is that a Big Jerm Boss?"
That was a fun watch
1 mill for the ace but should also have given 20k for the closest/a metal hit
Holy fuck AB that distance on a rope!!
How far even was this? Also, some of the camera shots/editing make it hard to tell where the disc even is in relation to the hole.
So cool to see Jake!!!!
"HE'S TOO MUCH OF A UNIT"
Gonna call him Heibenwhiner.
SMEEEGS
Editing and camerawork so horrible that it cant be watched
For One Milly they should definitely have to battle the wind. That's phat stacc
Cause the ridiculous distance here isnt enough .
The wind for the FPO contest was ridiculous.
@@lfish21. for one million dollars for one shot I think that's perfectly enough
"get in the hole" gets so annoying to hear
Big Jerm trying to be the ace witness lol
Would have helped if they gave us a perspective of what the shot is like.
you have to stand on that hill with a disc in your hand to truly appreciate just how far that is. I forget exactly but somewhere near 400 feet just to cleat the pond,
I see Big Jerm. Someone is hitting hah
I hit it before the tournament for 0.00 😟
😜😝😛🤣😂
Let the ladies try again in this calm wind lol
I was looking for this comment before I chimed in with something similar. Totally unfair the women had 50 mph cold winds when they had to throw.
@@botldgr03 I guess just the timing of the fun event thing, they may have already went home when this happened is my guess. Big shame because those women blast the disc lol
James proctor or unibomber? You decide
How far was the basket?
I think it was at about 575 feet.
@@Thisnameisnottakenjk thanks. Ya it looked like an absolute bomb. No one even got that close
Uli lasered it. 8 billion feet.
Hope some industrial strength sanitizer was on hand - was looking pretty Jermy in there !
I enjoy Simon's arm around Paul's waist.
Who keeps saying "Is ThAt GoInG iN???" when it's veering harshly to the right?
Where is Drew Gibson?
🍁 Tommy G! 🍁
Wait if the million bucks is sponsoring by the roofing company…why is that Steve Dodge’s sig in the check?
They should push it back 50 feet and do it for 2 million next year.
I hate to say it, but this was weak sauce.
I would've hit the 1mil poster and twisted ankle
Hannah M and Matt G sighting -- what did Hannah say in Spanish before Paul threw ... something about "home"? Like "go to your home" from Happy Gilmore. The "let's go Tiger" yell when he threw was pretty cool, too...
The event organizer would probably have a heart attack if one went in lol
I'm pretty sure that the money was explained like this... The event pays like 10k to insurance company, for the payout. Then, when nobody wins, the insurance company now has 10k.
That’s why Paul doesn’t throw Innova anymore. Lol.
Haha I know right :D He won the PDGA World Championships four times in a row (2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015) with Innova. If only he had better discs.😅
That couldn't have actually been Big Jerm because there wasn't an ace made
I couldn't make it through the whole thing. I'm going to assume no one got very close.
Everyone, pro or fan should have a chance at this. For pros it is free for fans it should cost like 10 us. Maximum of 5 shots
Ricky should have went high hyzer light weight. He's not good at letting the disc flip and pan
dont pause at 16:05 and look at his knees
Emerson grew 2 feet
Cmon AB, you could have done better. I’d pick him to hit it first.
did they not end up doing an FPO competition?
They did
@@blargy7283 do you have a link or anything else to add besides, They Did?
@@jamievincent7397 Look it up on this RUclips channel perhaps? And cut down that feminism shit.
@@rizka7945 feminist shit? Your high as a kite man.
I wouldn’t have voted for Ricky or Paul to be in this. They already have a million dollars.
I am not sure how the contestants we're determined but Paul, Simon and Ricky were outliers based on their current play style. I get this throw is reachable distance wise for Paul and Ricky but I wanted Double G to have a shot cause his fairway in the sky style of distance throwing style would be a site to see in this event.
This is a stupid setup for this competition. Its for a million dollars, you keep going until someone makes it. Otherwise it feels like they never really had the prize money
There needs to be power classes in disc golf, depending in which driver they use. Would be a great way to have co-ed tournys, as much as I like disc golf.
Paige Pierce gots probably 50-75ft on my drive still.
Disc golf lets men win women’s tournaments.
wouldve been cool if they had a round when eveyone threw their disc at the same time too
That would be hilarious
Where is Natalie Ryan 🤔
lol
Monthly surgery appointment.
He's checking his go fund me page.
This format was Uber lame.
The clout chasing by half the crowd is so cringe lol
I wish i was as cool as Athony
*Anthony
@@centrcutninex295 thank you fine person on the internet for helping me with me spelling I really needed that.
You're welcome buddy, anytime!
SAVE THE FPO!
Nikko would've made it 😤
Woulda drop kicked the closest person if he didn’t.
@@lfish21. not going to lie I spit my drink all over myself, thank you
I sure am glad he's watching disc golf with us instead of making disc golf look bad. Screw mighty mouse.
Should be able to throw in 10 bucks for one throw 20 for 2, just picking top players…. Booo
lame
Well that was boring.
These attempts are so weak. BORING !!!!!!!!!
Anthony is the only competitor that went straight at the basket, round one. One million dollars!!! Go for it, don’t flex and float them, that’s not exciting. I love and appreciate every disc golfer, but why float it when you can drill it in. Go for it in this situation. Yawn…
Why aren't there any women in this contest?
Calvin needs to go-to DD. Ricky really likes Calvin. Also Calvin don't like paul
Albert needs to start his own tour where there are no holes under 500ft. The fact that he is this consistent and accurate at that range is baffling.
Well he’s struggling right now financially because he had to buy a flying license for how high and far they fly 😢
Tamm is a legit absolute unit. Dude absolutely smashes.
With his build and arm speed, if Albert grew up in the US, he would've been a blue chipper in football, baseball...take your pick.
Tamm is a unit speaks to Paul’s volumes
"GET IN THE HOLE" has to be the most obnoxious thing about this sport
It's a shame but DG fans are starting to get pretty annoying with yelling stupid stuff during players throws, flashing cameras during outta etc.
Started with golf in the Tiger era
God the yelling after every throw is cringe as fuck. Cool event idea but awkward fans making it seem so lame on video
I would've made it. No doubt in my mind...
I can throw a disc clear over them mountains.
alright uncle rico
Of course you would
Everyone knows Uncle Joshua!!
They didn't invite you because you would've made it no doubt about it!!!
What a cool opportunity!
How was this lineup decided and how the hell did Simon and Paul not get picked immediately?? How did they have to get in by fan vote?
There was some weird statistic that selected everyone but Simon and Paul.
Simon and Paul were selected by fan vote.
The statistic was something to the tune of percentage of Drives parked
I’m glad McBeth got picked at least. He needed the money.
@@erakfishfishfish He needs a backup McLaren for just in case.
That introduction was fucking awkward as hell
