Two years ago I watched this video having never watched disc golf before. I immediately was enthralled, bought a starter pack, and found a local course to try it out.
This weekend I got my first A-tier win in MA1.
Thank you to Jomez and the McBeast himself. I am forever indebted for the lifelong joy of this game.
Dude that’s sick. I remember watching Brodie Smith play disc golf for the first time and now I’m pushing to be over 800 rated and trying to have some rounds close to 900

That's awesome. I also watched this round before I started getting into tournaments and I won my first two! Both C-Tier (first intermediate because I didn't know where to start, and then an advanced), and finished the rest of my 7 tournaments in the top 4 besides one slip up. It's great to see others are getting into the tournament scene due to Jomez

The awesome thing about disc golf is that the commentators on most youtube channels are actually pros of the sport. The best people in this sport in the world spend time between rounds to record comments, and it's usually out the next day. Paul McBeth is a legend here, but Nate Sexton, who ran the play by play, won the US Disc Golf Championship in 2017. Nate is often found commenting alongside Jeremy Koling, who won the USDGC in 2016. I love how in touch with the community the pros are, such a great sport.

Disc golf is neat, my local park had a course and it was fun to play. I was never good, but that's not the point.
What blows me away the most is this graphics package. It's better than a lot of professional nationally broadcast sports.

The coverage JomezPro does is bar none. I am not surprised that 104K people are subscribed... I am surprised that over a million haven't yet. This is the round that we as disc golfers wish we could throw and watching the GOAT do it for the second time definitely makes us feel like it's possible with enough practice. FANTASTIC coverage as always and thank you for providing only the absolute BEST coverage for the ENTIRE disc golf community. You guys are awesome.

You MUST visit Dellwood Park in Lockport! It's one of the best in the country.

Most impressed with the triple tree hit on 9 and still got the birdie, not to mention the fact that he hit a tree on the tee off as well. Them champ "rings" have a purpose.

I obsessed over real golf for years, practiced and played like a maniac, sacrificing other aspects of my life, eventually getting good enough to compete on a small local tour. Looking back, I should have done this. What an amazing sport!

Bryan Hopper oh yea, im sure! Its hard, But its nowhere the difficulty of real golf. I got a par on my very first time playing 9 holes of disc golf. It took me forever to get a par in golf. I believe golf is one of the most difficult sports in the world.

TJ Mills- Climo also didn't play on a bunch of courses with soft par fours and fives. Hole 18 at WACO was a par "4" guys could reach with a hyzer. Still great playing by McBeth.
Different era of the sport, so not a direct comparison. Both are greats of the sport.
Never seen climo play. Paul is the best today. Climo I guess the best in his day. But who was better relative to their time? I cant answer, but I wonder what people who know them both well think
@@wpwentzell exactly. Op has a hard on for Mcbeth so feels the need to minimize past greats. Climo had to deal with way understable discs. Was much more technical sport then.

Yes, we all debate over who has been greatest player in the past. The "early" years. I don't think there is any debate over who is the greatest player of the present day. He exemplifies what modern disc golf is. Professional, genuine, courteous, and just now coming into his brightest moments. That he did it on JomezPro, well, some things just work out the way they are supposed to. What a great sport! One bit of constructive criticism: I think the fans would like to have seen a brief discussion with Paul and Nate right at the end of the video (if not also at the beginning). We love our superstars and seeing them talk seems small, but it means a lot. So maybe not the answer you were looking for "impressed you most", but my way of doing it.

Awesome sport. Discs are cheap to start. like 35 can get you off the ground. courses are almost always free. It's like a very light hike and a game if you find a mountain-y course. Grab some buds and a few drinks and have fun in nature.

There are so many tight and/or dangerous holes safely cleared here it's really impressive! Especially that last hole where everything got cleared with an easy putt for eagle!

Interesting watching this again- seeing how they've changed the course a few different ways (aside from chopping 2 off the par). I like to think they only did that to try to make it mcbeast proof (or to avoid any chance of this -18 again). Great to watch this with Sexton commentary as always!

In finland frisbeegolf is very popular. You can buy discs almost every sportshops.
It's fun, I've been playing for 5 years. Just a really good way to get out in nature--no where near as boujee as golf, but still fun nonetheless
@@blakeb4583 Entry cost of disc golf is literally $10 and find yourself a course. Entry cost to golf is obscene :D There are other differences, but it's a great game that you can bring anyone along for, all they need is a simple disc and cue the fun. Anyone can throw a frisbee! (or so they thought)
Håvard Slettvold if even that, most of the courses I’ve played at are free, I’ve only ever paid twice for an entry fee!
