See, I have interest on this pasture method of poultry but I haven't seen anyone showing or talk about how they manage it during the rainy season, please I need help on that.
heritage birds take around 16 weeks and commercial breeds take half that but are not as tasty compared to the grass feed non gma grain supplemented heritage chickens
@@alskdjflaskjdf8581 commercial broilers raised on pasture no gmo feed, actually taste better than heritage raised on pasture no gmo feed. my opinion. thnx.
Egg shells are composed primarily of calcium. That isn't going to break down like organic matter(leaves and what not). You are better off drying them out, grinding, and then using it as a soil amendment.
Get a raspberry controlled gate that closes after the first 10 birds go through. Mark them, and keep track over several moves check who the fastest mover is. Your welcome.😁
Great,,,, now,,, explain how you make up for all the losses your going to have from aerial predators, since you have insufficient overhead coverage for them to seek out? ;)
ok, thanks, but even a goose's wide wing span can't provide cover for them. It's like having an alarm system on your house, but having no lock on your door. Where do the chickens hide?

How does the chickens following cows 3-5 days later not effect the grass growth cycle?
It probably does a small bit but chickens don’t eat grass like a cow so it’s not super significant
What’s the name of the netting? Trying to find out where I can buy it.
Premier1 poultry net
Raising chickens to eat how long does it take before they can be butchered? From the time they hatch? thanks for the video.
