- Polyface Farm stands as a testament to what can be achieved when we align our farming practices with nature's wisdom. Joel Salatin is proving that with dedication, innovation, and respect for our heritage, we can cultivate a future that's sustainable, prosperous, and free. Thank you for joining me on this journey through Polyface Farm, where tradition meets innovation to create regenerative farming practices in the most harmonious way.
In memory of Rhonda Massie. We are praying for the Massie family that they may have peace and be comforted, supported, and reminded of all the fond memories that they have shared with Rhonda.
On behalf of Turning Point USA's Production Team, a sincere thank you to all staff at Polyface Farm for their warm hospitality.

Such an amazing video! Why did I want to cry ? The music maybe? 😂 his prayer at the end got me. Absolutely loved this video. Wish it was longer I wanted to see more!
Me too! Haha glad I’m not the only one who got teary eyed by the prayer at the end
I totally cried at the end! This was a beautiful video! Thank you to Alex Clark and her crew for showcasing the mission of this farm doing God's work! ❤
I was just talking to my hubs this morning about how Massie is one of only 4 US politicians I actually like and trust. So sad about his wife.
Who are the others?
Okay, we need Alex Clark the documentary maker!! This was AMAZING, from content, inspiration to the perfect editing and music💕
Alex this was amazing!! You all did an amazing job putting this together please DO IT AGAIN! Keep bringing us places and exposing the truth!!!
our family attended the Homesteader's of America conference (Joel's event) last October before heading out to our off grid cabin in Arkansas for the first time. It was so good for my soul. It felt like we had stepped back in time to the 90's maybe even earlier. Kids were running all over god's creation & policing their own! Mothers with little babies (me included) felt so welcome at all the lectures even with our kids making noises. You know how when a baby makes noise in church, someone will turn around and look every single time? yeah not here. The sounds of happy or needy babies didn't disturb this crowd for a second. We had so much fun, and for the first time in years relaxed. The overall feeling there was indescribable. It was like a happy family reunion. We bought tickets for it this year, but found out I was pregnant and due literally the week it happens so that's not going to workout. I cannot encourage y'all to checkout the event for yourselves emphatically enough.
It's so encouraging to see you report on regenerative farming. Please keep looking into the farming industry. If journalists and the voices of the next generation turn a blind eye to it, nothing will change and factory farms will just keep the local farmer down. There are many regenerative farmers out there, working hard to make a living with a clear conscience. Thank you for taking the time to report on it.
Allen Williams, Gabe Brown, Will Harris, Ray Archuleta, Greg Judy, Russ Wilson, Dana and Lauren at Freedom Farm, Birchfield Farm,...
@@gildedpony5717 tell your family, friends, and neighbors to buy direct from their local farmers. Purchasing from the big company stores funds the big ag. Purchasing direct revitaluzes your community. See stories about Will Harris!
Can’t wait for this!! I grew up reading his book, “Pastured Poultry Profits”.
Thank you so much Alex for educating us on so many wonderful things, and opening our minds to new and exciting ideas. His blessing at the end was so uncommon and sweet, it made me tear up.
So good guys! Job well done Alex and crew 🖤
This was a blessing thank you!!
We really need to help support local and small farms. Many stores and large scale operations just don’t have the same quality any more and you can’t trust labels now a day. I went to a farmers market and it was amazing. I have my own tiny garden and it smells lovely and hope to have my first little crop soon of tomatoes and bell peppers. It is so rewarding to learn and it feels amazing knowing that you grew them yourself!
Joel salatan of poly face is amazing man! Met him in 2016
I loved this!! Thank you for doing this Alex.
Thanks Alex. I’ve always loved your mini docs and how you enlighten us. You just keep getting better. Side note - your colors are spot on incredible!
My friend Angela was at this event! She runs a homeschool co-op in Maryland called peaceful world schoolers and she wrote a book, Gospel-based parenting. When she was babysitting my daughter, her daughter was like 6 and had children’s books self-published on Amazon. This woman is so cool! @Alex please interview her!! ❤❤
THANK YOU JOEL SALATIN !
For being an EXAMPLE of how we are SUPPOSED TO DO !
and Teaching us How as well !
You are one of our SAVIORS !
We are blessed that you exist !
I LOVED this! So good Alex!!!❤
This was incredible! Thanks Alex! Your show is quickly becoming my fave on RUclips.
Beautiful place, such lush greenery.
This was so interesting and informative. Thank you for sharing Alex!💕💕🙌🏻
This was amazing! Thank you so much for this beautiful video!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this. I love that breakfast was served outside, it gave me the feeling of a cozy campfire cookout ☺️
❤ Thomas Massie and Joel Salatin!
This was beautiful!! What a magical place and I love how the animals look to be so well taken care of!
Genuine and unapologetic, well done!
But why did his blessing at the end actually make me CRY?!?
I couldn't stop smiling while watching this. It gave me so much hope!
This was such a well done mini doc! Seems like an amazing place!
Excellent! I paused to rewind multiple times because I didn’t want to miss a bit of it.
Love this. I was telling my husband I used to feel weird that I actually like and admire the hard work it takes to run a farm. I’ve always wanted a farm. In the past, I’ve had to care for farms short term as a full time petsitter. And i always loved it. Even if it meant leaving my warm bed Christmas Day and driving through a snow storm to make sure the cows, chickens, dogs, etc were ok. Or getting stuck in mud hole on a windy dirt road 😂 I must be crazy to love that. 🤪
Alex this documentary was so beautifully done. You and your crew are amazing. ❤
This whole video has me emotional. The animals look so happy ❤
10/10! All of it!
What a good man 👏 so genuine. This was so cool
This was excellent! Good job, Alex!
Ok why was this so wholesome? 🥹💗
Loved this so much!! Feeling very inspired 👏🏼🤍🐖🐄👩🌾
Not me crying at the end of the documentary, amazing job Alex! Greetings from Spain!!
Watching this just brought me to tears. This is so wholesome, exciting, and so achievable. I am so excited to get started on my own homestead journey.
We’ve totally lost sight of our food and family in America, I think if more of us did exactly what Joel is doing. We would be more connected to our food and each other. It wouldn’t just solve health issues, It would solve a lot of other things. ❤ thanks Alex for this video, I love the work you do!!!!
Alex, thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this documentary. I will rewatch this over and over again as I’ve learned so much on first listen and know I’ve missed much. God bless Joel, Senator Massie, and you. ❤

This made me so happy 😭
Amazing, thank you for this!
Wonderful!
This was fabulous! The only thing wrong with it was that it was too short. I could've watched an hour long video.
For those who don’t know Thomas Massie’s wife Rhonda just passed away. Prayers for the family
Loved this ❤. Would love to go with my husband some day
Very inspiring.
This was so great! Everything about it was top notch! Kudus to Alex and her awesome team
Beautiful
10/10 🎉
I miss polyface farm!
Rotational grazing-amen!
How do we support more farmers like this man?! I just started ordering meat from a local farm here in AZ but I wish there was a way we could help out more
Boast about your local farmer's products to your neighbors, the word of mouth advertising is helpful.
There's a book based on this called Dirt to Soil. It's a How To on creating this system. Great video, great book. Highly recommend both!
Beautiful job 👍 Now go visit Greg Judy!
Can you please interview Will Harris, the farmer? Read his book, “A Bold Return to Giving a Damn”
Do you know how much 950 acres 3 hours from D.C. is worth? Millions and millions of dollars.
Joel meant to say non gmo grains!
15:04 prides monkey 🙈 and 😮😢😊❤❤
Greetings, dear farmers. I see from the comments that you have very big difficulties with the land. I am from Siberia and I have a hobby of breeding horses. I have a lot of land for grazing and making hay. There are tractors and everything necessary for making hay. If any of you really want to start breeding beef cattle, then I can offer you this breeding here in Siberia on partnership terms. Our meat market is experiencing an acute shortage of meat, so this niche can be said to be empty and without competition. On my land areas You can increase the number of broodstock to 3000. Breeds such as Hereford, Galloway, and Angus are suitable for our climate. If you're interested, I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Write to me in the comments
What is the difference between regenerate farming and permaculture?
Permaculture is more specifically about plants, vegetables, trees and forage. It is also about land contouring and water management. The ideal in permaculture is to create a food forest that is in an ideal balance for perpetual production. Permaculture ideas can be used in farming and animal nurturing to maintain water supplies for the hydrating of the animals and land.
Regenerative farming has the focus of using animals to assist and boost (fertilize) the vibrancy of life in the soil and the health of the life above the soil. When regenerative farming is done well for a long time it increases the health of the earth to increase it's ability to hold rainfall and will actually increase the amount of soil in the given area because of the soil health.
@@michaelmontgomery727 very well said!
The land, money, and manpower doesn’t exist to produce most of the food we consume like this. Unfortunately big industrial agriculture is necessary to feed 8 billion people.
Not according to many if the regen folks. If there were many little regen farms, the plants, animals , and humans would be healthier and much more priductive. Check out Mark Hyman, MD interviews of Allen Williams, PhD (geneticist) and Gabe Brown. When working with creation, there is abundance. When working against creation, it is a costly battle-health, profit...
@@user-kv2pt4lu9y I’ve checked them out, Gabe Brown specifically used completely organic seeds, which are already expensive. If all farmers decided overnight to attempt to buy those types of seeds the supply wouldn’t even exist, and the price would skyrocket. The economics just aren’t there.
If we could utilize the over-taxed mono-cropped fields again for producing REAL food, we could do it.
@@midwestribeye7820 un-irrigated wheat produces around 4 million calories per acre, corn more than twice that. So if we say mono crops average around 6 million calories yielded per acre, and compare that to 1-2 steers per acre/year (which would be very high but let’s go with it for regen style operation), one steer yield around 600,000 calories. So maybe 1 million per acre tops. That means mono crops yield 6 times the calories per acre. So if you transitioned all mono crop land to regen cattle your total calorie production would plummet, many would starve.
@@MaxJones-dj5ub I didn't say all the grain land should be transitioned over. However, my opinion and life experience has shown me grains are not nearly as healthy for humans as what we've been told. Many people have allergies to grains. I consider grains a starvation food. You'll live, but you'll have many health problems. Again, my opinion. You do you. 🙂
Do you guys really need the violin music?
Another person trying to turn Salatin into their cult leader. Joel’s operation is mostly legit and many things he does are great, but he’s also full of marketing BS. He says, “no family needs more than one vehicle!” Yet you go to Polyface farms and see he owns at least a half dozen giant trucks and another dozen tractors. Not to mention that he is constantly flying around the world selling his books and his cult of personality.
Just take a real look at his “humane” chicken tractors that give his birds a whopping foot of overhead clearance and zero sunlight, but hey, they get fresh grass after 24 hours of standing/laying in their own feces.
I’m sure you’ll delete this comment, but people need to stop and look at the good and bad of what this guy preaches. He is not above criticism annd many of his practices need updating. Salatin is a marketing genius that loves his sheepish followers.
Geesh, who ruined you? I guess you could always go out and do a better job ...... But often the whingers do the least.
okay is it bad I cried?!😅🥲🥲 truly moving and amazing.
Great video!
Amazing job, Alex! Next you should visit the Alexandre Eco Dairy farm in my hometown 🫶🏻 amazing people & farm!
