These jets should be a museum at RAF SCAMPTON along with the Vulcan and Canberra from Doncaster in a first class facility in the North of England for all aviation enthusiasts to enjoy especially all the aircrew who flew and maintained these classic aircraft, but no the government decide to house migrants there 😢😢
And kept the museum of RAF firefighting there with the huge collection of fire engines and equipment. The Scampton heritage centre was a ready made museum, and an ex RAF friend of mine said there were rumours of having the Red Arrows kept there as an attraction as well as possible relocation of the BBMF from Coningsby. Would have been a world class attraction.
My late father served here before he met my mum. Not sure exactly when he was there, but he joined up in about 1950, and left in about 1956. He was a flight sergeant by the time he left, and I remember him telling me about how he had to guide Lancasters into land.

Maybe thanks from Putin for the UK Goverment arranging Brexit-and all the self harm it has done to the British Economy and Society, including the Armed Forces. Stationed there 75-77 working on Vulcans. 💔 😢
The airframes belong to Hawker Hunter Aviation Ltd, an MOD contractor.
Great catch and find
I think they should turn Scampton in to a museum.
Remember to toot when passing the main gate! 🎉
We had dozens of aircraft in storage at RAF Shawbury sadly all inside hangars! Buccaneers, Jags, Tombs, Wessex, Gnats, Hunters and JP's.
We still have...
Wrapped ones could be going to a museum at some point.

You may find it interesting if you look up his squadrons daily diary in the PRO at Kew. Maybe even some photos.
@@MavisTheDrone It probably would be interesting, but I live in Wales, so unless it is available online, I won't be seeing it any time soon....

How long before a cease and desist order? Any guesses?
We may need these soon!
Ha ha 😂.yep your probably right...
Except we don't have any pilots to fly them, because the MOD broke that as well.....
With the way the world is just now maybe Scampton should be recommissioned.
It isn't actually fully closed, was still in use for Night training last time I was there.
Does the Buccaneer have airbrakes open?
yip
Whoa. An Su-17!
SU-22
Can I have the Buccaneer please?
The Phantom IIF-4F 37+89...a German Aircraft?
Ex Wittmundhaven.
HHA stuff going to leeming.
Taking them away now I believe on to Leeming
This was filmed w/e 28 April.
How did you go about getting permission to fly in this restricted zone?
Why is it restricted, nothing flies from there anymore.
The FRZ has been removed and the danger area, which is activated by NOTAM, was not active. But a call to Wad was still made.
