i really wish i had your job man. you must love what you do. I would absolutely love to build clubs all day long for people that know and understand their swing. Your so detailed...thats how it should be though i love it. Keep up the good work..hope to run into your van one day

dude this guys level of golf knowledge is so far beyond needing one number for a shaft flex...for it to be desired. if you want to know shaft flex just go to golf galaxy they can tell you that after like an hour there..thats basically all you get from a retail store

surely the frequency will change once you have added the grip, so infact the frequency is wrong to what you needed. This is fact as long as its the actual finished cpm your looking to get once gripped. The frequency on this club is most probably 250cpm now with the grip installed

You never build clubs with the grip on and try and match frequency. Every shaft manufacture will also tell you this. The same grip will not lose the same amount frequency numbers so there is noway to be consistent at measuring. OUR FITTING SYSTEM IS MEASURED AND BUILT GRIP OFF thats how we have built all of the fitting clubs. So every number on the shaft is grip off and thats what we build the clients club to match. Every one of our locations in the U.S. and Internationally are done the same way and we have never had an issue with something not matching or performing.

+Craig Barber-Ball PurePerformanceGolf is correct, The frequency will not change. It will change if you clamp it in the machine while the grip is on because the grip dampens the motion of the club. A fitter should never put a gripped club in the frequency machine if it can be helped, because you'll get a reading that is different than the actual frequency of the shaft. That being said, if you're gauging a set of clubs and put them all in there quickly as gripped, you may be able to figure out something that warrants changes and more in-depth investigation. These guys are doing it right. I wish I had the chops / money to have all the brand name heads and be able to order/ deal in them but unfortunately they don't like small fry's like me.
Either way, PPG is damn awesome.
