Thank you this vid was great help as the B/W installation guide attached is not very clear. I got T17 on my amarok with slightly different attachment but managed to install it successfully by myself. Yes there is still bit of movement after installation but I tighten the bolt inside very very firmly so Im quite sure its safe. Tomorrow I will compare the movement with my friend who has the same model..
I can't believe that you've spent a quarter of the video on taking the parts out of the box!!! The 'written' instructions are pretty ordinary, so a detailed video would have been helpful.
0:55 - The little baggie is WRONG, as the K537 "Fixed Point" Prorack Roof Rack system has the bag with the J hooks and the RED plastic nut retainers. Sadly, having lost some it's rather difficult (impossible comes to mind) to find anyone willing to sell (or make) just the J hooks,being as they ARE the 1st things lost, when swapping bars on and off, in temporary use situations.

Can i mount T16b with either a clamp mount or permanent mount? I have been supplied a clamp mount (k159) for 2014 hilux double cab but prefer the permanent mount as i want to put a roof top tent on top, if so what kit number do i need (permanent ) Thanks
Hi, yes you can use any of our K style fitting kits to the T16B bars. However if you would like to have the permanent mount K323 option, we recommend getting your vehicle booked in with a specalised roof rack installer as this is a custom fit.

Why is it still being able to be moved (3:39) between the bar and the kit after installation? I found the connection part is made by plastic, not by steel... I found mine installed on Mazda 5 is the same, after installation, it is still being able to be moved a a little bit whatever you screw it tight or not..... Curiouse if it is safe or not? is there no secure issue ? .... thanks for replying
I purchased this Yakima wisp bar with the kit K7 (can’t remember atm) for my wrx Sportswagon 2024 and I’m not happy with the way the rubber pads sit on the water rails.. they don’t follow the contour of the roof and the rear rack … the bolts are too short to tighten the wing nuts, taking it back to the shop and see what they say.
@@Prorack yes It was, the rear bolts are not long enough to secure the rack and the rubber boots that connect on the roof create a gap between the rack and the roof which allows debris to get in and scratch the roof. I do have pictures
Hi Ryan, Tighten these as much as you can with your fingers. It doesn't need to be excessive but certainly need to be tight. It is always a good habit to check your fitments every 6 months and prior and post big trips carrying load.

0:33 is what I want to see - but there's always a catch isn't there.. I don't have Prorack Cross bars (well I do but they are now over 40 years old and don't fit these new products at all - being thin walled steel rectangulat box section) I do have however - all my usefull things attached to the Thule Rectangular 30x25 mm cross section heavy walled steel load bars that I used with the Tall Thule Gutter mount legs - but with another change of vehicle (yet again) we are in that old quandry of.. Yep - now have a newer vehicle with FIXED POINT (below roof outline) grab tabs for the (newer style) Prorack K537 feet - but still have the OLD box section Thule Load bars with everything fitted to them (no point spending days if not years trying to undo / unfit everything to find a Prorack bar to fit everything back onto) ... So - now that I know that the Prorack K537 fits my vehicle's roof fixed point grab slots.. WILL - these newer feet kits, allow me to bastardize the Thule Cross bars onto them, or will I be stuck between a rock - a hard place and an inventors sledge hammer - as - it will fit - maybe not technically correctly - but - IT WILL FIT even if I have to start welding things onto the roof directly. ie: Seen this www.prorack.co.nz/sites/nzfiles/files/instructions/K537_0.pdf All that is left now - is to see if the feet will fit (at my alteration thereof) the Thule Cross car / Load bars All I needed to read / see was how the fitting LOOKED that attached to the welded-below-roof grab brackets - in the car roof. I've compared both prorack and rhino, chork and cheese. Prorack mounting system is far inferior compared to rhino. The wingnut system on prorack does not make sufficient contact with the car roof and has far too much play for my liking regardless how tight you try and tighten the wingnut. On the plus side the bar is aerodynamic

I bought my Prorack load bars (two of them as I thought two would be great as i only needed one so had one as a spare (never needed the spare as the vehicle ran out long before the bar) I then swapped the single bar onto another vehicle that also had the open-side rain gutters - to have that vehicle lose itself to old age after about half a million kms. That's when I discovered oh shyte - the next vehicle had raised roof rails that didn't allow me to use my prorack gutter grips (nor the higher Thule gutter grips I was also using by then) Now I have another vehicle with hidden "fixed point' clamps that won't let me use anything I have ever used before - so ? How to bastardize my old Prorack load bars & feet, (or the Thule load bars and higher feet) to fit these near useless one position only in three set places along the roof, where pre-welded clamps have been put inside a hidden (below roofline) rain rail? For me - in 1975'ish - the Australian made Prorack roof rail system - being the open gutter mounted roof rack bars & kits - THEY WERE NOT CHEAP, nor were they rubbish that you claim them to be - having outlasted four vehicles, lasting well over over forty years in outdoors all weathers & thus in constant use. I'd hazard a guess you bought some "other brand" of look-a-like-proracks - that were more expensive than you needed to pay - but a lot less money than the real Proracks were, so I am not surprised you copped the bad lot.
Very poor video, Cheap and nasty filming and lighting! Individual videos for each model car(1200+ right?) would be costly and time consuming, however, it is a must for consumers. Come on Cequent, you need to do A LOT BETTER.

Hi Ryan, you will want a little bit of flex but not heaps. Perhaps check with your local dealer if you are not sure of your fit.
Is that normal for the roof rack to wiggle in all direction around 1-2mm?

My impreza has 2 bolt holes per fixture on the car.. Do I just use one of these?
