She never became successful solo, because she is meant to be a nasty peace of work and extremely hard to work with.

Not to be mean but Lea always sounds like she’s screaming to me. She can hit high notes but it’s always super shrill. I find her really hard to listen to.

Hei Dinglepop you do realize Ariana sang all her life and arianna and lea are almost similar ages and arianna became famous before her so those clips are when they were similar in age. Don’t make a big deal lol it’s not that special
Ariana is currently at her vocal prime, her improvement is insane, those old clips don’t resemble what she’s capable of. They should’ve chosen better and more current clips since she’s being compared to Lea Michelle, who is in Broadway, and as we know, they’re more focused on technique there than on Pop music.

Reasons I love Lea Michele is because the same song from glee that’s pre-recorded an auto tune sounds almost exactly the same as her live!!!!! She is a stunning queen 👑

well its “almost” exactly the same, ‘cos most of it is actually same.. In order to keep their actors’ vocal chords safe and healthy they lipsynced a lot on the glee tour. So for example that Halo note is definitely lipsynced..
Lea Michele is an amazing underrated singer. I'm not listening her songs and I know I really should start but I saw many of her performances she's incredible
You should deff check them out her first one is very pop but very fun, and her second is more adult contemporary but really shows off her vocals.

Maybe they chose a Better G#5 on focus like in the AMA's which had good control and vibrato or in Problem it had also had better G#5's

Lea is slightly better vocal technique wise but they’re singers that have different approach in singing. Lea is more of a musical/broadway singer while Ariana is a mainstream pop vocalist
Okay maybe a bit more than just slightly 😂 but my point is if Ariana had the same technique-focused broadway style of singing again ( that she used to have ) she can match Lea with no struggle

But honestly, my favorite will be Lea Michele. Not only has she an amazing voice, but she is able to make a song her own and put emotion in it. I cry when I listen to some of her renditions, because of the emotion she put in them.

Eh, I think she tries to Sound too much like Barbra Streisand. Shes decent vocally but doesn’t have very good musicianship. Being a good mainstream artist is a lot more than being able to belt decently.

Ari had way more improved vocal in Sweetener tour. The choice of clips in this video were really outdated. It only showed the little Ari had so much potential when she was young

Ariana’s voice sounds trapped and muffled most the time. Lea has the better technique and clarity.
Lea is amazing and Ariana Grande is working on getting better with her technique. She's already made a mayor improvement from where she first started lol. She started when she had red hair and it was her worst. Even at her worst she wasn't bad. But over all they all both incredible vocalist.
Woomy Head actually she sounded better on Victorious than she does now BECAUSE she sang with proper technique back then. Her diction became lazy and she looks bored performing in comparison to Victorious years also.

FYI there were really old videos for Lea too, not just for Ariana. The person who made the video put more recent clips for Ariana than Lea's, the most recent clip for Lea was the note on Maybe This Time which was from last year... also it's very rare for Lea to do lip sync because she doesn't need it, for example Lea had to do lip sync on the Thanksgiving Day Parade for technical issues of live streaming on tv, but on the Rockefeller Tree Lighting she was one of the few people who sang live.
But anyway, both are awesome, both have improve over the years and I love both but my favorite is Lea Michele for sure.

Leas technique is much better, since she’s in Broadway, so she’s constantly training, however, they could’ve chosen better clips by Ari, her technique during her last tour is better than ever and she’s currently at her vocal prime, those old clips don’t resemble what she’s capable of at all... Anyways, both are insanely talented vocalists and Lea is VERY underrated.

Technique-wise, obviously Lea. Stylistically, probably Ari cause I'm kinda used to her style due to her song being put on repeat on the radio. Though I'm digging Lea's new stuff. Also her duet with Kelly Clarkson although short, is an ear candy.

They both are amazing, they both have flaws but overall their technique is pretty solid. Lea is a bit better though not by a lot. For me ariana has a more smoothing voice, but she need to work on her pronunciation or enunciation they called it in singing.

Ariana's diction is way off. I can never understand a single word she sings. Obviously she has amazing range, I find her frustrating to listen to though.

Lea has a huge range: she showcased that on Glee. She can go up(highs) and down(low) easily. As opposed to Ariana who has a breath-to-everything-tone; all her songs sound the same to me. I love Lea's Run To You.

Ariana Grande is an overrated artist, but her voice is underrated if that makes any sense. Everyone loves Ariana to the point where her songs are overrated, but the level of talent she actually has is underrated. Lea Michele is just underrated because her studio albums weren't the best even though she's amazing live. Lea Michele also hasn't had the opportunities or luck that Ariana Grande has had when it comes to their music careers. I love Lea Michele so much, but you can't deny that they're both extremely talented.

Honestly in total Lea really uses her voice to the fullest. If you only compare high notes few can compete with Ariana. Still Ariana with her "heady" belt will have an easier time going for those high notes. In total Lea is superior in technique and using what she's born with.
