I am the honest vocal coach! I have been teaching for 15 years and been singing since I was 16. I teach from my own studio and also teach and mentor via email, and online via Live & Skype. I specialise in teaching children, and teenagers pop and musical theatre but I am trained in all genres of music. - a lot better at low notes
- a bit better at middle belts
- they’re similar at medium high belts
- ariana is a lot better at extreme higher belts
- ariana is also a lot better at falsetto/head voice
All in all, two comparably good singers who excel in different octaves

Ariana is better at medium belts, at middle belts they are close but Ariana has improved her support to Eb5 now so she's gotten better imo, but Miley is great

Sarah Parker Whistle Notes can not be supported... whistle notes dont come from the diaghpram like Chest and Head voice do....you should understand what support is

Erik she has more control, but i still prefer miley’s voice. i feel like it’s just naturally more appealing than ariana’s and the things miley can do (low notes and really beautiful melodies) impress me more than high belts. I still really like ariana’s voice though, they both have talent

It’s so obvious who this video favours lol, we need someone to make these vocal comparison videos aren’t a fan of neither because im TIRED of these low quality 5 second ass iPhone recorded clips while the other has a whole belted televised performance. The person who sent the clip is in the comments rooting for one of the artists lol.

It should've been Miley's Milky Milky Tour Vs Ariana's Sweetner tour, that's when both of them are at their vocal prime. But the results would be the same, Miley is better at the Mid/Low register, Ariana is better at the high/whistle register.
Yes she needs to find a better way of comparing them it doesn't feel like a real battle round bu anymeans and I'd really like to hear comments from her on there singing but these are not cutting it definitely not a battle round in my opinion witch is sad
@Ryan V. she still makes the choice to judge them solely on these clips given to her and mentions how poor or bad the quality is several times and being a coach making video's claiming a winner of a battle just seems poor taste witch is sad because I I love her explanation of what is happening with the singers voice

Contralto/Mezzo vs a very high Soprano??? I feel this does Miley no justice, she clearly articulated better and is far more versatile. Shiny can sing almost anything between Tenor and mezzo and even well into Soprano.
Ariana is great but I feel that she has more flaws than people think and with the dominance of pop, people rarely look beyond high notes and runs & riff with grace notes.
Joseph Harris ariana has almost fixed ALL her flaws in her voice unlike miley. ariana is:
- less shouty
- less nasal
- less tension
- no raised larynx on belts above E5 / F5
- IMPROVED BELTS
- ease equal to HMT
- IMPROVED LOWS
- a glimse of her rarely used head voice
- WHISTLES
- improved breath control
- IMPROVED SUPPORT (she supports like 1 C5 / C#5 every night) [not to mention, she’s been supporting the D5 in fake smile lately and has some REALLY open E5s, F5s and F#5s. she even has a partially supported E5 which is INSANE. lol HMT unsupported B4s can’t relate]

She is up there with Adele ( of course Adele has better chance at winning bcz of her huge career and experience ). And she can perform any kind of songs ( What even Adele can't/won't do. Neither will Beyonce , Rihanna or any other big shots. They can't/won't bcz if it doesn't go well they will be in deep shit). Listen to her cover of " I'll take care of you" at Sydney Opera Hall. That is by far the best live singing I've ever seen from her Generation. If you know any other pls leave a link.

Hunter X Hunter In this tour she's supporting many C5s, C#5s and some D5s and almost a E5. In add her Eb5-F5 area sounds more open and neutral. She is improving her technique. Next

Shes literally not. Ariana just belted an Eb4 last night with barbra streisand which is very impressive for a lyric soprano.shes never done that before bc shes way more comfortable now.Also she supports F#3 which again is quite good for such a high soprano
You clearly haven’t watch her latest performances. She’s constantly experimenting with her voice. Adding riffs and runs amazingly and changing some of the harmonies and melodies in her songs. And they all adds up! She’s unstoppable

I just wanna say that you are literally the coolest vocal coach reaction on the internet. You can tell you are nice in real life and a great person to work with. I hope one day I can be able to take a voice lesson with you. You give really good feedback and you do it in such a way that it's not making fun of the other person, but truly being constructive. After all, singing is as much of a psychological talent as it is a physical one. Keep on! I am definately considering doing a few lessons with you in the future!

@loulou boys Nope, Miley actually has way better performances than those in the video. Only diehard Miley fans have seen those clips. Most videos of Miley here are from her concerts where she is always playful and not in the mood to do serious singing. I can show 10 better performances of Miley than these.

To be the best you have to atleaat master the basics... Ari has poor diction till this day, horrible jaw movements still, and much more things she still needs to improve on. Not in the next 5 years.

Hi Georgina, I enjoy your channel and appreciate your knowledge and mastery of singing technique. At the same time I find myself wondering in cases like this, why you don’t pick the clips, or have someone similarly skilled as you do so. That way you can be comparing apples to apples, and not evaluating such factors as quality and type of recording, or having scores affected by any possible bias of the folks who supply the snippets for you to compare. You’re talented and entertaining, and I’ll keep supporting you. Just my two cents on how to make a great channel even better.
They're both great, very different sound, I loved when they did "Don't Dream It's Over" together, their voices complement each other.
