You must be new to the NHL games. You wanna know the truth? Not much has changed since 2008. They made a slight engine switch for PS4 and XBOX one in 2015, ripping off everryone who bought NHL15 with less than half the content NHL14 had. Its about content and price, they are trying to do what AAA titles are doing but they have so much to improve on.
Master Chief 117 Frostbite Engine. NHL 14 was good but....it was an ARCADE GAME!! You need better online connections and better animations. Stable back to back games and better passing. No instant stopping or left trigger 90 degree turns and get the HELL rid of 1 touch unrealistic dekes.

They need to put players that quit drop in games and OTP games too often in like a 30-minute timeout pool for quitting. If they keep quitting make it increase to 60 then to 2 hours. What I hate the most is drop in games people leave before the game starts. They also need to add .vote to kick but do so in away that people do not abuse it.. They also should ban party chat so everyone forced to talk to their teammates. They should also make a pool for players who not play their position right that will match them up with other players that play the same way
They also *really* need to get rid of that stupid option that lets you choose your position before you search for a game. Nearly made it impossible to find 6-on-6's, let alone 4-on-4's.

To be honest .im a PC gamer i play many games that are on xbox on the PC.. its not as bad as people think the newer games like BF1 are just the same as xbox and PS4 there's hardly problems with modding. ..The only problem I would see is having to play this game on keyboard and mouse if they allowed controller support im all for the PC copy.

I wish NHL 18 would focus more on celebrations and the atmosphere in the arena. I remember back in NHL 05 and some do the older games the players would spill over the boards for an overtime goal and the crowd would chant "Take him out" or "we want the cup" and stuff and now I can barely even hear the goal horn in NHL 17 and it just doesn't get me hype anymore when I score a goal.
I hope they add the infamous body check where the guy throws his entire body off the ice and levels his opposition. Now that would be a devastating hit!

I like the old one better. This one says the same stuff every powerplay like. "'Anything you do once you can do twice lets see if it applies to this powerplay " Or he will say. " Its the 1st powerplay of the night lets see if its power play goal number 1" Plus the real NBC commentary and the one in NHL 17 sounds so much more dull then he is in real life.. Ray sounds really realistic between plays when he shows the highlights of some of the key plays but doc is not sound anything like he is in real life

I remember back in NHL 05 and some do the older games the players would spill over the boards for an overtime goal and the crowd would chant "Take him out" or "we want the cup" and stuff and now I can barely even hear the goal horn in NHL 17 and it just doesn't get me hype anymore when I score a goal.

We don't need more dekes. Improve the graphics or the simulations. HOCKEY IS MEANT TO BE SIMPLE. Stop Steph Curry-izing the NHL. Maybe make the commentary actually realistic instead of Doc saying "what'll he do" every 10 seconds.
I like the old one better. This one says the same stuff every powerplay like. "'Anything you do once you can do twice lets see if it applies to this powerplay " Or he will say. " Its the 1st powerplay of the night lets see if its power play goal number 1" Plus the real NBC commentary and the one in NHL 17 sounds so much more dull then he is in real life.. Ray sounds really realistic between plays when he shows the highlights of some of the key plays but doc is not sound anything like he is in real life

u really focused on be a pro hun, its still cool to play be a pro for a month or so after that its gets boring and yes its not perfect in nba etc but still, why everyone is mad is because all other games have improvements each year and we dont. ai is not fix, animations are the same, we literally have new dekes and better poke checks... yes its not exactlyyyy the same as nhl17, but its really a joke to pay 90$ (in my country) just for 2 features (that were there in previous games). so yes it is a joke
