What is your favourite game from EA NHL series?
NHL 2009! It was last NHL game released on PC 😢
Probably nhl 19, it was the first one I really started grinding, and it was the last year of Mike Emrick’s commentating.

NHL 18 was the first NHL game I ever played so I'm going with 18

Была у меня лицензионная нхл 07 или 08 с русской озвучкой.На плойке 2 гонял ее.Создавал свою команду, ну и крошил всех подряд.Классная была графика по тем временам.

Lol seeing the NHL 2009 arcade game slipped into the lineup was a blast from the past. My groomsmen and I played that while drinking a 20-year-old bottle of whiskey at my bachelor party.
I'm convinced this is the predecessor for 3v3 HUT today

91 still holds up as one of the best... Quick, frantic and the fighting was always fun

Once it hit nhl 11, the improvements greatly decreased. Looks like the same game for over a decade. Same with Madden and fifa, makes me sad.
NHL'94 was my first experience together with my brother - he always played the Peguins and I took the Red Wings - he was always a bit better than me and so this rewind is a true reminder to me 😀

I always felt 93 was the best 94 was good but no fighting, tne timers was the only addition I liked.
@@nemonucliosis 94 had… the one timers that completely change the gameplay, penalty shots, new organ music, tons of body check animations, goalie control, and official NHL teams (it was the reason the fighting was removed)…it was miles above ‘93

comparing NHL 13 to NHL 23, the game hasn't changed all that much, at least visually.
Loved nhl95 on super nintendo. Used to play my siblings & make them quit by repeatedly checking & injuring all their players.

I miss these days, every sports game nowadays is basically a simulator with deep mechanics, I miss the simplicity.
Ahh I don't know, I have been playing these games for a while myself, since around NHL11, then I played 12, and 5, but then I received NHL14 and loved it, still one of the best NHL games released. Then I got 16, sold it, then 18, 20, and 22. I love how it feels like a simulator, if I'm playing an NHL game, I want to feel like I'm actually there and playing, like I'm on the ice at least a bit. I like the Simulator, but it needs a few improvements than EA COULD 100% MAKE BTW BUT DON'T... (I'm sighing as I'm typing here), but hopefully if time has proven correctly... with NHL 94 being great for the time, then NHL 04 being another huge step, and again with NHL 14 being considered even today to be one of the best in the entire franchise, hopefully NHL 24 will be the best big improvement.

NHL 97 was a game changer
NHLPA 93 had the best fighting ever plus each team had 3 goons which meant 3 fights per game.
Whenever me and my brother played 93’ we had a rule… no wrap arounds. Only slapshots and one-timers.
Steve Lamer was all you needed back in the day … scored all day.
I choose 1991. Playability over swoony graphics.
Not to me mention endless amounts of fighting. Felt great to 1 punch Gretzky with Probert.

Get yourself a emulator and you can play this on PC. You can even get genesis control attachment to play with using USB.
In the 90s and 2000’s it was exciting to get the new NHL cause it was like a brand new game. Now it’s 95% the same with a new feature or two and roster update. It’s pathetic how they take advantage of people. Guarantee if there was some competition like 2K they’d make more than a half ass effort.

Grew up with '93 - there was fighting in these games and the hitting definitely changed, should have shown that progression but good comparisons over the years

I would totally agree if not for the best game of the entire series, NHL 94 on the SEGA GENESIS, being omitted in place of some shite version more than half the people who have watched or watching this have never even seen/heard of. -.-;
