When I read relationship stories in the Bible, I have yet to find a woman looking, yearning, waiting to find a man to get married. But I do see Isaac, Jacob, David, I see the King seeking for a queen, I read that A Man must leave & cleave, when HE FINDS a wife, it’s a good thing. Marriage is for PURPOSE, why do we women sooo want to get married??

It is not the parrot's fault or stupidity that makes it want to chat. It was created, wired and designed that way. Infact, even if you make up your not to marry and have a child. Someday, you will just find yourself wishing you had children...And you wouldn't know where the thoughts are coming from. This may not be the case for every woman due to so many cofounding factors. But remember, Jesus always responded to questions like this, by taking us back to the original counsel of God at the beginning of time. Blessings
I was among some women last night and I had to say that I'm grateful that none of the relationships I thought I wanted ended up in marriage because now that I have greater understanding I realize that I would have been in some serious marital problems because they were not the right ones and it wasn't the right time. Marriage isn't as the world leads us to think...a marriage has a greater purpose than just satisfying physical needs and wants. It also requires us to be our best selves; being able to love and accept love, forgive, give grace, be patient etc. If we are honest with ourselves; we struggle with those things so I say - Thank you ABBA! You see the end from the beginning and be it unto me when you see fit🙌🏾🙏🏾
I know Mandisa is finding it hard to be single...for years every show shes on shes talking about being single. Its super hard to live satisfied and single if you're sooooo focused on it. When I was single...I asked God if I was getting married one day or naw. Because if God, If youre giving me the gift of singleness, PLEASE tell me. So I can focus on ministry. But if I am going to get married, tell me and I promise I won't ask who or when...I'll just trust you and wait. Well, at that moment the lord answered me yes, you will get married one day. Then I said..ok....I forgot about that prayer...focused on school, work and church...I was married 10years later.
I found this verse during my devotion; Isaiah 54:5...I said really that’s in the Bible? And the Lord whispered and said” marriage is for purpose, MY purpose”. Every woman does not have to want to be or get married. It’s a social & traditional push on women & not Men.
Yes! God he’s not afraid of our honesty. He actually welcomes it. It’s not like He doesn’t know what we are thinking anyway. So I agree. The best place to bring those questions is to God. He’s the only one with the true answer.
I will be honest, I’m married to the perfect man for me and there’s still hardships like loss of kids that we have to endure for the perfect timing. I had gotten to a point where I resented hearing the words timing...We’re like Abraham and Job mixed into one story-that’s tough! It’s tough whether single or married to wait.
At one point I was also wondering why am I still single when I was willing to find someone and marry. During a particular church service it became clear to me through the pastors teaching on preparation, I wasn't ready. It hit there's a major difference between being willing and being ready. This was about a year ago and since then I've learnt so much about relationships and marriages, the more I learn the more I realize that if God had provided me with someone earlier then I probably would've messed it up.
First I want to say Mandesa you look so beautiful! Second, you women are so blessed. I wish I had known God and had women like you in my life when I was younger. I am single, 64 taking care of my 90 yr old mom :) I divorced at 49, never dated or remarried. I feel I am where God wants me right now. Be patient, live your life for the Lord. So miss me with your harsh critique in an effort to snap someone back into what you deem is reality. Btw my great grandma died at 106 and lived to raise all of her children. Can you imagine having the right person at the wrong time cause I do and I’m mad. I want him now but he’s not ready for God or me. I keep asking God if he is the one and he says yes but wrong time. The thing I hate most is I can’t walk away in peace for the right timing. I already love my future husband but he gets on my last nerves because it’s not time.
God puts a desire in our heart and then he brings to pass that desire(whether it be singleness or marriage or whatever else). As we grow in Christ we may realize we only wanted marriage because we thought that’s what we should want or that would make us complete or we may truly discover it is a desire God has put in us. We just have to trust God in that process and be patient with ourselves. We are content with Gods will when we are mature.

I was thinking the same thing. I would like to hear more word and the power of the Lord and how they are being used. It becomes so cliche as if this is only thing women can get together and talk about. I have been married for 10 years and married when I was 33. I remember being in a singles group and this was always the conversation. I left the group and dove deeper into the word. God open doors for me to experience him and not just sitting around for a man. I encourage all single women to tap into your purpose for your life and God will take care of the rest. Marriage is a ministry and if you are not being prepared to serve, don't rush the order.

Yes. I agree with this cos we began dating and the way marriage used to be was arranged and helped by parents. It may be that no one has paid attention to who we are but if a woman isn’t chosen yet, she’s free to live without law and restrictions of marriage, to serve God and grow tremendously on her own. It is the man's responsibility to seek a Wife, (Proverbs) now if a man isn't seeking a Wife, but oftentimes today in American Society not many man want to get Married. He may just want to have sex and/or cohabitation which you're correct the woman suffers. She wants a permanent commitment but he doesn't. Sadly, many women lower their standards and settle for less by being a girlfriend or a sex mate instead of a Wife and/or Help mate. (Genesis)
Her husband could be her photographer,her graphic designer friend,Her drummer or a barber etc etc. But usually successful women think they “Deserve” someone equally rich because they the women are rich. I have stopped having pity on rich women who are single because 9% out of 10% are just stubborn waiting on their“ideal” partner. They conveniently hear Gods word when the guy is rich or fits their spec sheet but if a guy is making less than them or not in the same social standing,They shut out Gods word about the guy and refuse hear what God is saying.

Im tired of looking up and Mandira is still single. Her energy is that of a single person. No one is perfect but there is something under the surface. Just because married women are married doesn't mean they are perfect,it just means they are married.
GOD doesn't tell us to wait to Marry but be Wise in who you Choose to Marry. The Church tells women to wait but not GOD you won't find wait to be Married in the scriptures. You will see in the scriptures to choose to be Married or Stay Single. Every man we encounter we can Choose to Be his wife or not. Also don't limit yourself with your preferences on looks rather than, character, responsibility, integrity, relationship with JESUS and others. Be open to other Nationalities. Be confident and don't go looking but Live and enjoy your life by yourself with yourself. As the scriptures say Marriage brings Trouble.

Yes. I agree with this cos we began dating and the way marriage used to be was arranged and helped by parents. It may be that no one has paid attention to who we are but if a woman isn’t chosen yet, she’s free to live without law and restrictions of marriage, to serve God and grow tremendously on her own. God knows the why of all things. Though it may not be easy.
@@Gabriellecrio I agree during Biblical times arranged Marriage was a custom and in some religions it still is. It is the man's responsibility to seek a Wife, (Proverbs) now if a man isn't seeking a Wife, but oftentimes today in American Society not many man want to get Married. He may just want to have sex and/or cohabitation which you're correct the woman suffers. She wants a permanent commitment but he doesn't. Sadly, many women lower their standards and settle for less by being a girlfriend or a sex mate instead of a Wife and/or Help mate. (Genesis)

Sometimes, God has sent the right person ladies, but he doesn't look like what you want because you're looking for your idea of a husband.
I don't trust God's timing and probably never will and this has nothing to do with being single 🤣.
Her husband could be her photographer,her graphic designer friend,Her drummer or a barber etc etc. But usually successful women think they “Deserve” someone equally rich because they the women are rich. I have stopped having pity on rich women who are single because 9% out of 10% are just stubborn waiting on their“ideal” partner. They conveniently hear Gods word when the guy is rich or fits their spec sheet but if a guy is making less than them or not in the same social standing,They shut out Gods word about the guy and refuse hear what God is saying.
Mimicking worldly tv shows is what's wrong with the world today the most High isn't an imitator smh
