Several years ago I was walking through one of the most difficult times in my life, and had really been overcome with fear and anxiety. My oldest child was battling a drug addiction and had gotten into legal trouble and was facing a possibility of 22 years in prison. And that was crushing for sure, but on top of that he had denounced Christ and professed to be Buddhist. I was terrified that he was going to die and go to hell. I had dealt with the possibilities of what could happen in this life to the best of my ability at that point. But the thought of him not being in eternity with me was more than I could consider. I remember being so overcome with fear one day and trying to cry out to God but really feeling as though I couldn't even do that. And I remember God whispering in my heart "what if he does die and go to hell?" And I knew it was God, and all I could do was sit quietly. And I felt the question in my heart again, and I responded to him "I just can't even go there God". And in His kindness He asked me again. And this time He said, "if that happens am I still God? And after several moments of silence I was able to choke out, between my sobs, "Yes You are still God." And He responded, "Ok, am I still good?" And after another long pause I responded, "Yes, God, You are still good." And somehow in that moment I knew that regardless of where the situation went it would be okay. And in that moment I was able to let go of the control I thought I needed to have. And from there I could pray for my son. I could lay him down on the altar before God because I knew that God loved him more than I do, really more than I ever could. But I too had to face what could be in order to be free from the fear that was ruling me. Fast forward a handful of years and my son is clean and free and I have an 8-month-old granddaughter. And God is so very good!

Thank you for your testimony. I have 3 prodigals and it’s so hard to watch them destroy their lives, just devastating for a mama. I’ve been praying for 17 years for my oldest and it’s scary to imagine where his live may end up. Addictions are devastating and i’m so weary. Your words give me some hope. Thank you so much. Amen! I've recently been attacked with anxiety due to two church hurts. I get up every morning speaking the truth of God's word. I may have to take some meds from time to time until this breaks, but I am saturating my days and nights with scripture and speaking that truth( our sword) into the atmosphere

I love the journaling and going down the rabbit hole with JESUS. I was reminded of this truth with my children visiting my family for a week in another city…that GOD protects them…not me but GOD! JESUS loves them more than I ever could and just believing that truth and praying over them has given me so much peace.

That practical tip...remembering God's voice, even if...(insert reason for worry and anxiety)...threatens you, your peace or your joy, He is with you. That's a powerful mindset to live a conquering life.

I had just went up to the altar to pray concerning my teenage sons. When I saw the title on Better Together, I wanted to watch it. This is an answer to prayer for so much good instruction on seeking peace and pursuing it.
I’m going to be honest today is Monday Afternoon in Australia and I had a not so good day, then I watched this video and I felt encouraged. Thank you God for knowing just what I need at the perfect time because you are perfect. 🙏🏾♥️ God bless you all, felt like I was in that room with you all.

My dear sisters in Christ, this is the only way why we black people survived the cruelty inflicted upon us. From within the Godly seed of light and promise planted in us, made us choose peace and love as reflected in most off what we do when keeping the faith. Love and peace to all in Jezus name I'll always pray.
As the one lady said, it helps me to think through what I am truly afraid of, and to pray “Lord, even if the worst happens, You will still be with me and You will give me grace to get through it.”. Then to replace the fearful, anxious thoughts with the truth of comforting Scripture. That’s what helps me overcome fear and anxiety.
This is for me. I have a major life event coming up and my mind has been tearing me apart. Trying to convince me it won't work out and negative intrusive thoughts. I prayed, I asked God to help me. I spoke good things over my life and I sat down a reasoned life out all of this was between last week into last night and now I'm seeing this! It must be God, this is not a coincidence. He knows what my anxiety is trying to do but He is not going to let it! He is showing me the truth. I love God so much, He really does take care of His children ♥
👍👍👍. I'm a 26year old lady from 🇰🇪. Your show is simply edifying. Quick one : i have been praying and actively seeking a job 9months now. My situation only gets worse having exhausted all my savings helping my family. Today i found myself questioning if God has been hearing me all along. I mean withholding help 9months despite staking it all on His promises? Do y'all ever feel that or sth is wrong with my christianity?
Nothing is wrong with you or your Christianity dear. You're only passing a test of time. Instead of praying everyday, I want you to change it to praises, worship and thanksgiving. Thank God for that job that's refusing to come your way because God has opened doors already. Keep giving thanks and talk to others about God. By forgetting your troubles and focusing on the Lord alone, you'll discover very soon that your challenges are soon over. Jesus loves you and He knows your troubles. Cheers
Lisa Harper said it best “there a times where you won’t be able to sleep without a bible on your chest” and my God is she right. I wake up and read the verse of the day but it’s never enough. I need to physically touch and feel the word. Then I need to read from a printed bible a chapter and find God in each line. Then I need to write down my thoughts on what I have read and digested from the Bible. Every day I have to be in my Bible. It strengthens my faith and it’s apparent in the moments when it seems like we hit roadblocks and everyone around me is saying “why is this happening?” and I can confidently say “because God is good! It’ll be alright.”🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

This video touched me ! I am three months in having Jesus as my lord and savior and all I do all day long is listen to sermons and listen to the Bible audibly I am a changed women I wish I can just tell my testimony ! I don't know all scriptures by heart of course but I'm so curious if how do you know what scriptures to go to that just speaks to you at that moment ?

I'm currently in this season of anxiety vs trusting God. My life has gotten busy, leaving me little time to pray.
By God's help i was able to fix that, I pray whilst making dinner now. One day while i gisted God, poured my heart to Him about my fears and worries, the song that dropped in my spirit (which i didn't notice at first ) was "Firm foundation" by Selah.
I have from time to time battled with the same thoughts/fears but i keep telling God about it. It just seems as though 1 minute its all sorted out the next day I'm back to worrying.
The current song in my head is, "I'm not alone" by Neeja.
So when these thoughts come up again, the song just flows. It's living rent free in my head and I'm grateful for it.
Lisa Harper at about 21 min.. trusting God's love for everyone else... just this last couple of years this has changed for me.. thank you for loving me Jesus.

I worried about my future and my children's future, I fear the worst happening and my thoughts were fill with fear of all that could go wrong. I couldn't sleep and I was tired and at my lowest. I carried burden of forgiveness, impurity, envy, anger. I lost my confidence and I tried to control my situations and everyone else's problems. I suffered childhood trauma and was disobedient and chose my preference over God's purpose. My marriage failed, I felt as though I was losing everything, then I was a single mom with my babies. Then I got a vision that my flesh and my spirit was at war, and I was convicted and I said yes to God and surrendered. I am still recovering and learning as a young believer but once you have experienced the love and mercy of God it gets better. The spirit of Christ in us is our best friend and if we understand how he moves and speaks we will yield to him more. Pray, be still, read his word, guard your heart, let yourself be led by God and watch your fears disappear. Be intentional about living by the spirit. It's really hard but possible. This topic today touched me to the core.

Love this honest and pure girl chatter about real life situations and the (gift of Jesus's) peace that is either thwarted or blossomed depending upon how we handle those situations. I'd love to add that my experience has revealed that reading God's Word on your phone in lieu of a paper copy, lends itself to a greater possibility for distractions! Messages, calls, calendar notifications, alarms and the ever present TEMPTATION to online shop are all distractions during a time when you are seeking God's voice. That precious whisper that our souls are yearning for can be drowned out by the flesh/eyes/ears being taunted by distraction. If reading a paper copy, I believe it to be a more focused time of learning. Personally I have always felt a sense of connection with books/pencil/paper...almost as if the actual feel of them is more satisfying and natural. Just my 2 cents worth. Thank you all for the real-ness of your ministries.

I can relate so well. I have a tendency to think of my fears in the "worst case scenario" as a coping mechanism, too. Of course, I know the best solution is to trust God with everything, but it still helps to calm me down when I realize the worst case scenario is bearable. Maybe not pleasant, but tolerable.

I am sitting here weeping as I am listening to these great women speak. This was exactly what I needed. They are speaking to the prayer of my heart and the problem I was having. I am so encouraged to read the word of God and to hold a physical Bible and not just an app. I to have been having problems sleeping. It's wonderful to be able to share love and encouragement through the teachings of Jesus
Journaling has saved my life so so many times, since i was probably twelve years old. Growing up in the throes of alcoholism, as the oldest of six children (and with two invalids living with us) i spent the biggest part of my life believing that, if i could just figure out how to be good enough, say enough, do enough, be enough, everything would change. Everything would be ok. There was a set of abandoned concrete steps in the pasture behind our house and i would go there, with paper and pen in hand, and write. And write. And write. And it helped. That was also about the same time that i found God (who really wasn’t lost) and i will always believe that it was He who gave me the gift of writing and led me to us it at the age of twelve. When you grow up in the midst of alcoholism or addiction, you learn to keep secrets. You don’t talk to your friends about the things you’re worried about, but you can talk to the paper, the diary, the journal. It will keep your secrets. It was the safe place i needed to be me. It still is.

I wake up with anxiety and fear every morning of my life. Fear that I am not going to be safe and then twisting and turning with anxiety where my chest starts aching and heart wants to jump out of my throat.

I still worry and have fear
Everybody does, at dif times, in dif circumstances, to differing degrees. If it is exhausting you though, I'd look for some deliverance from the spirit of anxiety. Online. Through a Christian friend. A church. Specific christian deliverance places (as some Christians don't understand deliverance and they are scared of it for some reason, don't ask me why, it's a huge theme in the bible). Gods best for you.

I feel this is for me. Whenever I saw things getting out of control, I try to choose peace by controlling the situation and it ends up getting worse. I never understand why it always ends badly! But now I know, We have to choose peace that's led by the wisdom of the Holyspirit ( bible verses) and not take the bait of the enemy. You know, trying to control the situations because of worries sent by the enemy .! I should not do it .
I have to trust Him enough. I have to surrender it all to Jesus and let Him take control, after all, He loves me and He wants the best for me!
Thank you, Lord, for speaking to me through this video. Lord now that I know this is what I have to do, I pray that you will give me and people like me the courage, wisdom and strength to surrender to you completely and trust you enough. I ask this in the name of Lord Jesus Christ . Amen!
